    1. Hi Yaraa,

Right now the two eye creams that I am using the very most are the Radical Skincare eye cream and the brand new African Botanics eye cream.

The Radical Eye cream is lightweight but very nourishing, and makes my eyes feel and look great. It's rich enough to do a remarkable job, but it isn't so rich that it gives me milia.

The African Botanics Resurrection Eye Creme will be launching very soon-- it has a lightweight balm type of consistency that melts into the delicate skin beneath the eyes leaving it extremely hydrated, soft and supple. I think that it will be available this month or next. I will be reviewing it soon!

Both are wonderful options. Have a lovely day!

  3. I am trying to decide what will be my next facial oil to try. I have the African Botanics Neroli Infused Marula oil and the Tatcha Camellia oil. I am leaning towards either the Colbert MD illumino or the Rodin Olio. What distinguishes the two? Which one would you choose and why? I am starting my list for the next big 'event' at either Barneys or Space NK. Thanks!

    1. The Colbert MD Illumino and Rodin Olio Lusso are both extraordinary, but they are quite different. Olio Lusso is a lovely hydrating and moisturizing beauty oil that is very nourishing and healing. Illumino is a very light oil (nearly watery) that contains Retinol that lends itself to fading hyper pigmentation, exfoliating red skin cells, and revealing more luminous skin. I love and use both with regularity, and both give my skin a beautiful glow. I think that it really depends on what you want out of the next oil that you purchase. I am working on a Best of Beauty Oils post, and that might be helpful and timely for you. You are a very wise woman to be starting you Barneys & Space NK lists already!

  4. Do you alternate them or use one oil for a certain amount of time and then switch or how do you utilize them? Thanks.

    1. I study the needs of my skin every time that I use my skincare products, and therefore choose based upon their ability to treat the needs of my skin at that particular moment. Therefore, if my skin was feeling a little drier than usual I would pick Olio Lusso over Illumino. If, however, I wanted all of the benefits of a retinol infused oil– then I would pick Illumino. I also love oils so much, and enjoy the ritual of using them with such intensity– that I often just choose which one to use based upon wanting to experience the particular smell and texture of one of my favorite oils. Some people collect perfumes, but I collect beauty oils, and the differences in their individual characters create a certain intangible pleasure that is unique to each oil. :-)

    1. I haven't reviewed it yet, but will before long. That's why it isn't hyperlinked, and it states that the review is forthcoming. It's a fantastic oil though, and I will try to get that review posted before too long! It's definitely a great multipurpose oil!

  6. Lola,

You wrote a subsequent review on a new product that you were trying that was similar to Sisley Paris Black Rose Precious Face Oil, but much less expensive.

I have search for that review of yours, searched the Internet, but cannot find it.

Can you please leave the name of this product in the comments or e-mail it to me at kiki528yahoo.com

Loyal follower, having tried sooooooo many of your reviewed products. I hope that you are able to let me know what it is.

Thank you for the wonderful blogging and reviews, swatches, etc., that you provide. It is obvious that you are dedicated to great skin care and to your readers.

    1. Hi Karen,

Thank you for reaching out, and for your very kind words! The face oil that I reviewed following the Sisley Black Rose Precious Face Oil was the Origins Plantscription Youth Renewing Serum. I didn't suggest that it was like the Sisley oil, but there were comments that readers made suggesting that it was nice to see a review of a far more affordable oil that was excellent after I reviewed the VERY expensive Sisley oil.

      Origins review:

      http://www.lolassecretbeautyblog.com/2015/02/origins-plantscription-youth-renewing.html

You are very welcome, but thank you for letting me know that you find my blog wonderful and my reviews and swatches so useful– you just made my day! I am definitely dedicated both to my readers and to finding great skin care!

Let me know if you have any other questions! Have a lovely weekend! :-) Helen
