The Organic Pharmacy Virgin Cold Pressed Rose Hip Oil Review

Purchased by me (Affiliate link)
At this point it is barely worthy of mention that I am thoroughly smitten with The Organic Pharmacy. Their products have made an unprecedented difference in the condition of my skin, and with each new product that I try I find myself further and further down The Organic Pharmacy rabbit hole. Their anti-aging line has hands down beat every other line that I have tried, and without all of the chemicals that we have come to associate with highly effective anti-aging products. Arguably among my litmus tests for a line is my assessment of their face oil serums, and as you already know The Organic Pharmacy passed with flying colors with their Antioxidant Face Firming Serum. Therefore, there was no question that I had to try their Virgin Cold Pressed Rose Hip Oil.
The Organic Pharmacy Virgin Cold Pressed Rose Hip Oil  is, "An amazing anti-ageing and repairing treatment oil. Repairs and reverses sun damage, reverses premature ageing from sun. Reduces scarring (surgery, acne). Reduces wrinkles and re-hydrates."

This amazing oil is imported by us directly from Chile. It is well known for its rejuvenating and repairing properties both for the skin and hair Because it is organic and virgin cold pressed, it retains its precious actives that make this oil so special. A high percentage of Essential Fatty Acids, Tretinoic Acid and major carotenoids Betacarotene, Lycopene, Rubixanthin, Gazaniaxanthin, Betacryptoxanthin and Zeaxanthin are largely responsible for making this oil fantastic for scarring, acne scars, sun wrinkles, sun spots.

Application; "Apply 2 drops directly to scars both post surgery and acne scars twice a day for at least 4 months. For sun damage and premature ageing apply twice a day to the affected area. To repair sun damaged hair massage 2 drops to damp hair after washing."

IngredientsNeroli (Citrus Aurantum), Rose Hip (Rosa Canina) Oil, Vitamin E (Tocopherol) , Frankincense (Boswellia Serrata).

Neroli (Citrus Aurantum): The hypnotic smell of Neroli is instantly uplifting. It is also excellent for wrinkles, stretch marks & dry skin.
Rose Hip (Rosa Canina) Oil: Wild crafted and cold pressed in Chile, this oil is rich in transretinoic acid and essential fatty acids. Clinically proven to reduce scarring, wrinkles and condition the skin.
Vitamin E (Tocopherol): A natural non GMO antioxidant vitamin.

Frankincense (Boswellia Serrata)- Anti-wrinkle and anti-inflammatory action on skin and joints.
My experience: This is a lovely and potent healing oil. The high concentration of Rose Hip Oil is highly effective in its ability to heal traumatized skin. As noted, it is proven to reduce scars, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation over time. The combination of carefully chosen ingredients proves to be a powerful antioxidant rich anti-aging oil that also reduces inflammation and redness while deeply moisturizing the skin. I have been using it on my face and décolleté, and as a result I noted that my skin was soft and smooth with a healthy glow. What I hadn't noticed, until just two days ago, was that it has begun to reduce the appearance of my sun damage on my upper chest. A few too many episodes of overexposure while reading in the backyard (and forgetting to reapply sunscreen often enough) has begun to manifest itself with some discoloration with a few small sun spots. This oil is really proving its ability to make a difference. I imagine that continued use will result in even more favorable results. The scent is a pleasant combination of the Neroli, Rose Hip Oil and Frankincense, but I do note that the smell quickly fades upon application.
Overall assessment: This is another fantastic high quality product from The Organic Pharmacy! Their Virgin Cold Pressed Rose Hip Oil is their most affordable serum, and therefore a wonderful way for the curious to become acquainted with this luxurious natural skincare line. I continue to be smitten with their products!

  1. Hi, could you explain what is meant by 'Affiliate Link'. I've noticed this term in all your posts about the Organic Pharmacy products. Does it mean you have some formal or informal link with the company? I'm British by the way, and love the Organic Pharmacy. They have about 6 stores in and around London which I've spent many a happy hour browsing in! With many thanks, Nicole.

    1. Hi Nicole, Thanks for stopping by! My "Disclosure" tab above explains what the affiliate link is and how it works (it is not though The Organic Pharmacy directly). I agree with you about The Organic Pharmacy- I am completely obsessed with their beautiful products, and have a list of more things that i want to buy. We have one store in Beverly Hills, and a counter at Barneys New York-- and I love to spend time browsing as well! Have a lovely day! :D

  5. Hi Lola!
you are killing my budget! Now I have to try this too! Do you layer this with the antioxidant face serum? I also bought the flower petals deep cleanser and mask and the collagen mask. I love both products! Have you tried their other masks? Wait, don't tell me, I can't buy anything else! LOL

    1. Hi Veronica!!! :-) Sorry, LOL!! I am killing my own budget with The Organic Pharmacy as well-- if that makes you feel any better! No, I choose one or the other-- because it seems a bit duplicative to use two oils at a time-- for me at least. I would just experiment with them. I suppose if you are especially dry that you could try both, but I would try each individually first so that you have a good baseline to determine how well each moisturize your skin They are both extraordinary!! I love love love those two masks-- and I have yet to try the other 4 that the company makes. The Flower Petal Deep Cleansing and Exfoliating Mask just blows my mind-- I have never had any mask clean the gunk out of my pores the way that this product does.

I want to try their sunscreens as well. I am so in love with this line, and each new product that i try strengthens my resolve that this is an extraordinary line!!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend! :-) Keep me posted!!
