If you love hydrating tinted lip treatments, then I just discovered one that I would like to share with you. Trader Joe's Sunscreen Lip Balm SPF 30 Review

By now, you can surely see a purchasing pattern: I go grocery shopping at Trader Joe's peruse their beauty aisle, and invariably come home with some new find(s). That is precisely what happened a few days ago when I picked up the Trader Joe's Sunscreen Lip Balm SPF 30. It wasn't as though I really needed another lip balm, but I did want one with sunscreen. It is already feeling like summer here, and as a huge proponent of sunscreen use, I really want to keep my lips as well protected as the rest of my skin. This is a very hydrating lip balm that is emollient and that has the perfect amount of cushion for comfortable wear. It contains chemical, rather than mineral, sunscreens that offer an SPF 30. It has a very light citrus aroma, but it is neither long-lasting, nor is it unpleasant. At $2.99 for 0.17 oz., it is a good deal and from a brand that you can trust. If, however, you prefer mineral to chemical sunscreens, then this lip balm isn't for you.

Weleda Skin Food Lip Butter is an ultra-emollient and seriously moisturizing lip treatment. It is lightweight, very nourishing and it effectively and efficiently heals even the most chapped lips. Lips are left remarkably soft, smooth, and unmistakably hydrated. It has a light herbal aroma, but it isn't overwhelming, or long-lasting. I leave a tube in my desk drawer and one in my purse, and I buy two at a time! This cruelty-free lip butter is worth its weight in gold for me, and I will continue buying as long as they make it!

Trader Joe's Jelly Bean Flavored Lip Duo Review

I recently found myself with very chapped lips, and when I reached into my purse I realized that I had left my tube of lip balm in my book bag instead. I was out running a few errands, and ran into Trader Joe's to pick up a few missing ingredients, and saw the new, and limited edition, Trader Joe's Jelly Bean Flavored Lip Duo and thought why not. Normally I wouldn't choose a jelly bean flavored lip balm, but I was desperate to put something on my lips immediately, and the duo consisted of a lip balm in a convenient squeeze tube and an overnight lip mask in a little pot.

The moment that I got back to my car, I opened the package and applied the lip balm. It doesn't overwhelm the senses with a jelly bean taste, or aroma, and is actually quite pleasant. It is super emollient, has a nice glossy finish and it lasts for quite a while. More importantly, however, it is very moisturizing and healing for dry lips. I actually use the lip mask interchangeably with the lip balm, and find that it leaves my lips soft, smooth and hydrated. Both went a long way to healing my chapped lips, and they are quite pleasant to use.

They both did an impressive job healing my very chapped lips, and this duo is an excellent value since you get two lip products for $6.99.

I love using lip balms, and wear them all of the time, and therefore I am always excited to try a wide variety of them in an effort to keep my lips soft and moisturized. It's The Balm Diggity makes wonderful lip balms with only 5 ingredients– beeswax, jojoba oil, coconut oil, shea butter and natural flavors– in a variety of delectable flavors. I have been using Orange Julius, Piña Colada and Shirley Temple scents, and they are such a delicious pleasure to use. They are emollient, ultra-moisturizing and fun to use. Furthermore, the Hyaluronic Acid offers lips sustained hydration and it gently plumps fine lines. The peppermint oil is refreshing, but it isn't in the least bit overpowering.

ellixi beauty, which is a wonderful cruelty-free brand that believes in sustainability and transparency, makes wonderful products that boast efficacy and gorgeous aromas. Their products, which feature very short lists of ingredients, are a real pleasure to use. I am so delighted to have discovered their fantastic products.

ellixi Vanilla Mint Lip Butter is a lightweight and super emollient lip butter that envelops lips with its nourishing ingredients. It has just enough cushion to feel fantastic on the lips, and it is very moisturizing, and never sticky. It leaves chapped lips remarkably soft, smooth and hydrated, and the vanilla mint flavor is soothing and comforting. I love that it comes in an aluminum tub instead of plastic, and it makes me very happy that ellixi is consciously selecting materials other than plastic for their products.

TIRTIR Water Mellow Lip Balms come in four fun colors, and once applied to the lips they transform from the color in the tube into an altogether different shade. TIRTIR is a really wonderful beauty brand, from Korea, and their makeup and skincare products are very high quality and affordable.

Available Shades:

Icy Blue transforms into a flattering and infinitely wearable pink.

Mauve Berry transforms into a mauve pink.

Peach Lemony becomes a peachy coral.

Greeny Apple becomes clear with shimmer.

Icy Blue and Mauve Berry are close enough in color, after transformation, that you will have roughly the same effect with either one. At least that is the case for me.

TIRTIR Water Mellow Lip Balms lightweight and hydrating lip balms that leave lips soft, smooth, supple and with the perfect amount of luminosity and shine. They glide across the lips effortlessly, deposit color evenly and they have the perfect amount of cushion for very comfortable wear. While perfume is among the ingredients, I neither find the scent long-lasting, nor overpowering.

BeeSpa Honey Lips Hydrating Lip Masque

If you have been seeking an alternative to those petroleum-based lip balms, then you may want to consider the BeeSpa Honey Lips Hydrating Lip Masque. It is cruelty-free, deeply moisturizing and it leaves chapped lips soft, smooth and comfortable. Constantly being exposed to the elements, lips are often quite vulnerable. The beeswax in Honey Lips creates a barrier around this delicate layer of skin, and therefore offers your lips protection from the elements. It does not include an SPF, but it definitely protects lips from drying out and becoming chapped. It has the thickness and consistency of a lip masque with a slight sheen to it.
