Whole Foods is Coming Up Roses This Valentine's Day
The scent is a delectably peppery rose that is neither too sweet, nor too spicy. The ylang yang adds some earthy richness and texture to the sweetness of the rose– which is further modifies by the spicy peppery effects. The overall impression, after dry-down, is a more complex spicy, warm rose. I am absolutely smitten!
The floral scent that incorporates the beauty of a rose, provides a harmonizing mood. Romantic and delicate with light powdery notes of ylang ylang. Well-suited to the Weleda Wild Rose line of products!
Features:
- floral & harmonizing
- romantic scent
- with powdery & spicy notes

Weleda Everon Lip Balm Review
Weleda Everon Lip Balm is very moisturizing, nourishing and soothing on chapped lips, It heals even the most chapped lips quickly-- leaving behind unbelievably soft and supple skin. The consistency is very smooth and glides across the lips effortlessly, and it has just enough of a waxy consistency to cling to the lips with increased wear-time. It is very comfortable to wear, and it has a lovely scent that is a warm blend of vanilla and rose, but it fades soon after application. Over the years, this has been the lip balm that has seen me through many colds, in part out of nostalgia and comfort and in part due to its efficacy, and it continues to be the balm that I reach for whenever I catch a bug. I also love using Everon Lip Balm under lipstick, at night before going to bed, and just about any time of the day. It also means a great deal to me that it is filled with healthy ingredients, and in fact has a Score of 0 for toxicity levels from the Environmental Working Group-- therefore it is not only a highly effective lip balm, but it is also among the most safe.
According to Weleda,
This long-lasting all natural lip balm soothes, nurtures and protects lips in need of deeply moisturized comfort. Everon Lip Balm is a luxurious and nourishing treatment that leaves your lips soft and supple with a healthy shine and the delicate scent of vanilla and roses.
Give your lips a treat with our all natural lip balm. Soothing and nourishing organic jojoba seed oil in our Everon Lip Balm embraces your lips, absorbing deeply to eliminate dryness for a healthy, nourished smile. Organic shea butter is an effective, skin-smoothing emollient that renders your lips palpably softer when you use our all natural lip balm. Beeswax in our Everon Lip Balm provides long-lasting protection for your delicate lips from skin-damaging environmental influences, while rose wax cares for cracks and irritations with its natural antiseptic properties. With healthy, nourished moisture and protection ensured, you’re left with comfortable, kissable lips that have a beautiful reason to smile.
Ingredients (INCI): Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Beeswax (Cera Flava), Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Rosa Damascena (Rose) Flower Wax, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract, Rosa Damascena (Rose) Extract, Citronellol*, Benzyl Alcohol*, Geraniol*, Eugenol*, Farnesol*.
* from natural essential oils
Made in Germany
Overall assessment: This has been a staple in my family for as long as I can remember, and I have always loved this lip balm. My obsessions with certain products may wax and wane, but I have remained faithful to this lip balm since I began using it many years ago. I lack a certain degree of objectivity about this lip balm because I have a sentimental attachment to it because it is inextricably linked to family for me, but truthfully a product has to be pretty extraordinary for me to remain loyal to it all of these years. I will continue to use Everon Lip Balm as long as Weleda makes it.
$4.99-$6.99 0.13 oz. from Weleda and Drugstore.com and many natural food stores.

Empties Post: Volume V: December 2012
Body & Hair Products: I try to be judicious in my use of hand sanitizers, but I did have a really bad flu this year so I did use them after touching door knobs at work. The one from Traders Joe's was of the regular gel variety, but the one that I really loved was Intelligent Nutrients Certified Organic Hand Sanitizer (reviewed here) because it was a pleasant smelling organic product in a spray bottle. It was so convenient to use because of the way that it was packaged, and I highly recommend it for this reason and for the quality of the product itself. My husband bought Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle Shampoo and didn't use it because he preferred one of their other shampoos- so it just sat in the shower unused. Being one who hates waste, I decided to repurpose it as a shower and shave gel- and it worked well as such. The Curls Gel-les'c curl gel/ shine serum (reviewed here) was a really lovely product that felt moisturizing on my curly locks, and it really gave my hair a lovely shine! EOS Pomegranate Raspberry Shave Cream was an awesome and affordable product that left my legs very soft and moisturized after use.
Makeup, Lip Balms & Fragrances: I made a decent dent in my pile of fragrance samples- which I have vowed to get through. It drives me nuts having drawers filled with piles of things that I don't use-- so it gives me great satisfaction using up these perfume samples. As always, if they smell awful on me I end up using them near the kitty litter boxes to deodorize the area. I managed to get through another Suki Lip Repair Butter (reviewed here) and a Weleda Everon Lip Balm (I love this stuff!), but both were nearly used up- so it didn't take much time to use the last bits of each of them. I also used up a Chanel Mascara sample, the last bits of a MAC eyeshadow duo, and the last bits of a Trish McEvoy Blush. For the last few months I have been trying to make a dent in some of my makeup, and the aforementioned MAC and Trish McEvoy products were on my hit list to finish up before 2013. I am so pleased that I actually finished both of them.
Which products did you finish, toss, or give away in December?
