Overall Assessment: I find both formulas quite effective, but for my skin the Dr. Melaxin Peel Shot Exfoliating White Rice Ampoule is perfect for my skin since it exfoliates dead skin cells and leaves it hydrated.

VT Cosmetics Cica Hyalon Mild Reedle Shot 50 is a customizable, "micro-needling-inspired" at-home treatment that is formulated to redone the texture of the skin and boost its radiance. This formula comes in five strength levels, and VT Reedle Shot 50 is made for sensitive skin. Their CICA Reedle technology employs the use of "ultra-fine needles" made with Centella Asiatica Extract, and its purpose is to stimulate skin renewal and therefore product absorption. I didn't experience any skin irritation, and I absolutely avoided the area near my eyes, but I would definitely recommend patch testing it to see if it irritates your skin. I tested out the VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot 100 and their PDRN Essence last year, and really linked them both, as well (Review HERE).

The texture is a lightweight gel that melts into the skin immediately and it is neither greasy, nor sticky. I have definitely noticed that my skin is radiant and smooth, and I really like the way that my skin looks and feels after using this product. It is important to use a high SPF sunscreen when using active products of this sort, and I definitely make sure to use an SPF between 30 and 50 daily.

This is yet another K-Beauty brand making effective skincare products that are user-friendly and affordable.

For me, this wonderful K-Beauty brand is tried and true, and I reach for their effective products every single day! Each of these products can be used separately, but they are even more effective when used together.

Vitabrid C¹² Wrinkle Serum ($72.00 for 1.01 oz. from Vitabrid C¹² and Amazon): This wonderful antioxidant-rich serum offers skin incredible hydration and protection from free-radical damage. It boasts a blend of novel peptides that help boost collagen production, and the result is the appearance of firmer skin and plumped fine lines. Their antioxidant formula, which is infused with Niacinamide, Bisabolol and Citric Acid, helps to brighten the skin and fade hyperpigmentation. The serum is mid-weight, fast absorbing, non-sticky and fragrance-free, and it leaves my skin soft, supple, smooth and incredibly luminous.

This ultra-luxe, and velvety-textured, cream is such a pleasure to use and it makes skin look and feel exquisite. While I do not have wrinkles, I do have some fine expression lines, and this cream has definitely softened their appearance. There is no fragrance, and therefore people who are sensitive to fragrant skincare products will not have any problems with this cream in that regard.

This fragrance-free serum has a light gel consistency that melts into the skin without leaving behind a sticky or greasy residue. Skin is left hydrated, soft and supple.

Ingredients, such as Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Water and Ceramide NP, hydrate chapped skin, prevent moisture loss and maintain the skin's elasticity and barrier function. Furthermore, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract effectively brightens uneven skin tone by mildly exfoliating, and leaving skin with a healthy glow.

Anua Niacinimide 10% Dark Spot Correcting Serum is an unscented K Beauty brightening serum that is formulated to fade dark spots that occur from sun damage and acne scarring to the skin. It is a lightweight gel that melts into the skin and it hydrates, nourishes and pampers the skin while it works to fade the appearance of hyperpigmentation. The Hyaluronic Acid retains hydration while the oils, such as Macadamia Integrifolia Seed Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, moisturize the skin. I have a couple of sun spots on my face from overexposure to the sun, and after weeks of daily use, I am starting to see a tiny bit of fading. I look forward to seeing what those spots will look like by the time that I finish this bottle.

The beautiful "pink colored vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin) is a fermented plant-derived ingredient, and the color may be lost if exposed to light."

Overall Assessment: I am delighted by the modest price tag, and so far this serum is worthy of continued use. If you have sun spots (hyperpigmentation from sun damage), you should consult with your doctor to determine whether those spots are pre-cancerous or cancerous lesions before you add any sort of topical cosmetic treatment to them. I always check with my doctor first, and I don't ever assume that dark spots are nothing to be concerned about.
