LaJeanell is a new-to-me organic makeup and skincare brand that is made in the US, and it is Cruelty-Free and Certified Organic. I have only tried the multipurpose LaJeanell Lovely and Luxurious Versatile Lip/ Cheek/ Eyeshadow, and I am very impressed. I have only tested and worn them as lipsticks so far, but will at some point try them as blushes.

DIRECTIONS:

For lips: After defining a perfectly defined lip, by using LaJanell lip liner, apply lip color on lips. Apply from the tube or with the mini duo brush. Start from the center of lips and brush lip color outward filling in the gaps. For a more subtle look, diffuse color by blotting with a tissue. 

For cheeks: Always apply to dewy skin, whether it’s freshly applied primer or moisturizer, the pigment will glide on evenly instead of sticking to dry skin. Swipe blush color up on each cheekbone with one stroke. Blend over cheeks with your fingertips or mini duo brush.

For eyes: After applying luminizer on your eye lid, swipe desired color applicator on the crease of eye lid. Be creative or slightly feather with your finger tip.

It is my new go-to lipstick, and I am utterly smitten with the formula, the longevity and the fetching shade.

Inlight Supreme Eye Serum ($268.00 for .40oz. from Hug Your Skin): This lightweight, and fast absorbing, oil-based eye serum is very nourishing and moisturizing, and it leaves the delicate skin around the eyes remarkably soft, smooth, hydrated, toned and lifted. Furthermore, it softens the appearance of fine lines, does not cause milia and it brightens the skin and leaves it luminous.

H is for Love Bara Balm Facial Emollient (Value: $70.00 for 1 oz.): This is such a beautiful balm that I am nearly at a loss for words to describe its magnificence. It is lightweight, rather than dense, and, in fact, it is so soft to the touch that one eagerly anticipates its ability to effortlessly melt into the skin– which it does immediately. It can be used alone as a highly effective moisturizer, or it can be used in conjunction with your favorite face oil for added moisture. Skin is left with a smooth, velvety texture that will leave you deliriously happy. It has a hypnotic warm earthy aroma that is soothing to the senses.

BARA BALM is our answer to skin in need.  Sometimes skin needs a little extra to soothe and protect.  BARA is formulated to take moisturizing to another level. Each ingredient has been chosen to soften skin, absorbing quickly, leaving your face with an ultra sheer layer of protection against environmental assault. H is for Love Lip Glacé in Root & Berry (Value: $17.00 for .17 oz): This glossy balm, which is nourishing and ultra-moisturizing, leaves lips soft, silky smooth and supple. It is very emollient, but it clings to the lips without even the slightest hint of stickiness. It has the perfect amount of cushion for comfortable wear, and a single application lasts for several hours. The natural pigments, while intense in the pot and in my swatch, offer a juicy, light wash of red on the lips. There is a very light aroma that is primarily punctuated by the peppermint and vanilla oils, but it fades almost immediately. It is important to note that it is neither in the least bit overpowering, nor is it irritating to the lips– instead it is refreshing and comforting.

Lip Glacé is a universally flattering rose-colored gloss. Its tint is derived from berries, roots and flowers and completely void of mica, iron oxides or mineral pigments. Highly regenerative sea buckthorn CO2 lends a touch of red clay color to the mix. Virgin, cold-pressed coconut oil creates a matte look in the pot, but once warmed by your lips it becomes glossy (glacé!)

Glacé is perfection if you seek a touch of femininity in a deeply hydrating gloss. Its effect is subtle, serving to enhance the natural look of the wearer and it can also layer beautifully over nearly any lipstick color.

Both stunning and discreet, Lip Glacé wears deliciously, imparting hints of peppermint, vanilla and berry but without being overpowering. Healthy, sexy lips – naturally.

Kensington Apothecary is a luxurious healthy skincare line that I have been obsessed with since I first tried it some time ago. Their products boast luxe textures, undeniable efficacy, and an affordable price point. Furthermore, their natural aromas are a treat to the senses, and using them is a true joy. I thought that I would share a few of my recent favorites that are worth considering.

What I note more than anything is that my skin looks and feels fresh, rejuvenated and radiant when I use this tonic. It has a mild spicy fruity aroma that is thoroughly exhilarating.

In fact, it does an exemplary job exfoliating dead skin cells to reveal soft, supply and ultra-smooth skin. Its medley of fruit acids gently remove and dissolve dead skin cells, they it help heal blemishes, and soften the appearance of fine lines.

I have noted such a surge in your interest in organic products, therefore I have recently sought out more natural and organic products to feature for you. Vermont Soaps has been on my radar for a while, but I only just recently tried the line, and I am so glad that I did. I make every effort to eliminate as many harmful chemicals from my life as possible, and while I haven't given up all of my  chemical-laden skincare and makeup products, I have made a concerted effort to green up my life considerably.

I always had a fear of using so many chemical compounds in such a sensitive area, and notwithstanding a few occasions in my adult life, I have exclusively used healthier deodorants. Not all are created equal, and some seem to promote, rather than eradicate odor, but Vermont Soap Lemongrass Zen Deodorant is both effective and gentle on sensitive skin. If you love the scent of Lemongrass, then you will be enchanted by this deodorant. I find that it gives me fantastic odor control without irritating my sensitive underarm skin.

Vermont Soap Produce Magic ($4.98 for 2 oz. from Vermont Soap): While I buy organic fruits and vegetables that aren't sprayed with pesticides, it's still a great idea to do more than just rinse them with water. If you don't buy organic, then pesticides, fertilizers and waxes really should be removed before you eat your produce, and an effective produce wash is a great line of defense against digesting such undesirable toxins.

Vermont Soap's Fruit & Veggie Wash can be used a number of ways. Pour into a spray bottle for a convenient spray and rinse. Apply directly to foods and rinse. Apply to a brush - scrub and rinse. Lemongrass Zen is utterly delectable and leaves everything smelling fresh and clean.

According to Vermont Soap,

Aloe Castile Liquid Soap is a safe, nontoxic, green, multi-purpose, multi-surface concentrate that is made with organic plant oils for your safety and for the safety of our planet.

Castile Liquid Soap is a natural detergent alternative made from organic oils. Cleans all water safe surfaces; including you! Available in various sizes and scents.

Cleans ALL water-safe surfaces. Use different dilutions for different solutions.

Lemongrass Zen Ingredients: Saponified Organic Coconut, Olive and Jojoba Oils, Natural Lemongrass Essential Oil Blend, Rosemary Extract, Organic Aloe Vera

Vermont Soap Castile Liquid Soap with Aloe & Olive Oil in Country Lavender ($6.96 for 8 oz. from Vermont Soap): This has such a beautiful lavender aroma that lingers in the air, makes your house smell like Province, and it leaves you with a sense of wellbeing.

Country Lavender Ingredients: Saponified Organic Coconut, Olive and Jojoba Oils, Lavender Essential Oil Blend with Organic Lavender Oil, Rosemary Extract, Organic Aloe Vera.

USES FOR CASTILE SOAP:

HANDS and BODY: Use full strength or dilute up to 50%.

DISHES: Saturate applicator with full strength castile soap and scrub. Add more as needed. Always soak tough stuff in soap and hot water first to loosen debris. Use some castile soap in your wash water, but utilize a soapy sponge or scrubber to do the bulk of the cleaning.

FLOORS: Add 3oz (6 tbsps) of Aloe Castile Liquid Soap to mop water. Clean as usual, and allow to dry.

WALLS & WOODWORK: Dilute 1/4 cup per 1 gallon of hot water. Clean, rinse and let dry.

LAUNDRY: Use about 1/3 cup per load – a little more for hard water. Castile Liquid Soap may be neutralized by detergent residues in the machine so use enough to get the barest start of foam on top. You may have to use a little extra the first time. Best to mix into warm water before adding the clothes. Great for hand-washing most silks and fine fabrics, wool and suede (may darken). Bleach compatible.

STAIN REMOVAL: Safe and effective. Wet surface and apply full strength. Work into the material from several directions and let sit a moment. Blot stain with cloth or towel and rinse.

CARPETS: Replaces detergent concentrates. Works well in all carpet cleaning machines and on stains.

GENERAL CLEANING: Fill a clean spray bottle with warm water, add 5% of concentrate, then spray & wipe. Great for ALL watersafe surfaces. Help eliminate new plastic smell. Safe and nontoxic for humans, plants & pets.

BATHROOMS: Use full strength on sponge and rinse. For all porcelain and tile surfaces.

VEHICLES: Saturate sponge with Aloe Castile Liquid Soap. Work over vehicle in sections, wetting first, scrubbing and then rinsing. Always wash vehicles out of direct sunlight.

Warning: Will slightly darken most porous materials. Test on a small inconspicuous area prior to use.

Vermont Soap Oatmeal Lavender Bar Soap ($6.98 for 3.25 oz. from Vermont Soap): This gentle face and body bar has a lovely lavender scent that has a lovely twist of citrus. It leaves the skin soft, supple and hydrated. The creamy lather is non-stripping, and perfectly suited for shaving legs and underarms.

According to Vermont Soap,

This is Vermont Soap's signature lavender blend (not your Great Grandmother's lavender). This is a clean light lavender blend with hints of citrus and echoes of deep woods. It reverberates in the heart and is both calming and cheering.

All of their products are free of artificial colors, fragrances, preservatives or any synthetics. They use Rosemary Extract as a natural preservative.

The creamy lather is non-stripping, and perfectly suited for shaving legs and underarms. The aroma is a sunny, sweet orange that invigorates and refreshes the skin and the senses.

Overall Assessment: I am very impressed by the quality of Vermont Soap products to the extent that I definitely want to further explore the line. It makes me feel very good using healthy, eco-friendly products that are good for my household, my body, and that aren't harmful to the environment. If you are looking to green up your life a little, or a lot– I recommend taking a closer look at Vermont Soap's wonderful products.
