Revisiting Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil's Magnificence

I have been using Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil for over a year, and after purchasing my second bottle I realized that I really needed to extol its virtues again. Typically once I finish up face oils it is only the most special that are actually considered for re-purchase (because I have so many face oils to use up before they turn), and this one is unquestionably among the few to be purchased again and again. There is no question that this face oil has a cult following, and between its efficacy and relative affordability it is easy to see why.

This amber colored nourishing oil, which is suitable for all types of skin, is ultra-rich in Omegas that help regenerate skin without irritating even the most sensitive skin types. It is formulated to combat dullness, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, blemishes, flaky skin, scars, sun damage and dryness.

It is a lightweight, and fast absorbing oil, that neither leaves behind an oily residue, nor an amber stain on the skin. It has a warm and earthy natural aroma that fades soon upon absorption. I simply apply it to warm, and slightly damp, freshly cleansed skin, and immediately note that my skin feels soft, smooth, supple, deeply moisturized and luminous. Its antioxidant-rich anti-inflammatory ingredients calm and soothe irritated skin, and it effectively reduces inflammation when skin is irritated from breakouts or post-peel redness. It softens the appearance of fine lines and scars over time, and unlike many of my most coveted luxury face oils, this one comes with a surprisingly approachable price tag, and I cannot sufficiently underscore the extend to which I am happy with this magical amber elixir.

I should note that I inadvertently subjected my décolleté to a bit more sun exposure than I had anticipated the other day, while doing strenuous yard work, and despite the fact that I was wearing and reapplying sunscreen my skin was still over-exposed and left dry and a bit irritated (not sunburned). I used this oil exclusively on my neck and décolleté following my exposure and it really nourished, soothed and rehydrated it.

RODIN Olio Lusso Geranium & Orange Blossom Luxury Face Oil | Review

Given my love of RODIN Olio Lusso, I was very excited by the prospects of trying the RODIN Olio Lusso Geranium & Orange Blossom Face Oil, and given my penchant for luxury beauty oils, and my unmitigated devotion to RODIN Olio Lusso Jasmine/Neroli Luxury Face Oil (Reviewed HERE) this fetching oil was at the top of my list of must-haves. Therefore, I eagerly anticipated testing this stunning golden elixir, and it was an even greater delight than I had anticipated. I was given a very generous supply of samples to test, and it took no time for me to purchase a full-size bottle.

First, before I tell you how this delectable luxury face oil performs, I must preface this review by stating that its aroma is utterly enchanting. It is the perfect balance between the Geranium and the Orange Blossom, and it is neither too sweet, nor too citrusy. Instead, it is deep, rich and warm it reveals a touch of spice. It is hypnotic, delectable and truly divine.

RODIN Olio Lusso Geranium & Orange Blossom Face Oil is a lightweight antioxidant-rich, remarkably fast absorbing and ultra nourishing oil. It immediately hydrates even the most parched and dehydrated skin– leaving it baby soft, smooth, supple and seriously luminous. I have noted that it banished a couple of dry patches that I had on my chin, and it has softened the appearance of my light expression lines. It is effective for all types of skin, and has been an extraordinary treat for my normal/combination skin.

I recently received an email from a longtime reader who was seeking an affordable beauty oil that she could rotate with her favorite ultra-luxe face oil so that she wouldn't have to replace it quite as often. As luck would have it, when she reached out I was already a few weeks into testing the new Burt's Bees Complete Nourishment Facial Oil, and without hesitation told her that it was definitely worth trying. That it is affordable is rather obvious– particularly when compared to its luxury counterparts, but it is also an impressive facial oil on its own.

Burt's Bees Complete Nourishment Facial Oil boasts a lightweight texture that is fast absorbing,  without leaving behind an oily residue, and it immediately delivers serious hydration. The antioxidant-rich blend of oils includes: Rosehip Seed Extract, Evening Primrose, Jojoba, Calendula, to name a few, and they deeply nourish and hydrate the skin, and leave it soft, smooth, supple and radiant. It has a mild and pleasant earthy aroma that is neither cloying, nor does it linger for too long.

I have tried a few products from Frownies, and have been consistently pleased with their quality, but I recently received two of their products that I decided to mix together, and the result was truly amazing! In fact, their Aroma Therapy Daily Body Lotion and Immune Shield Vitamin E Serum pair together perfectly.

Frownies Aroma Therapy Daily Body Lotion ($19.95 for 4 oz. from Frownies): Formulated to protect and nourish the skin, this body lotion is comprised of pure steam distilled organic, and therapeutic grade. essential oils and organic Aloe Vera that hydrate and soften the skin. It is lightweight, very emollient, fast absorbing and ultra moisturizing. It leaves skin soft, silky smooth and very moisturized. It has a pleasant and mild sweet floral aroma, but it does fade soon upon application.

Ingredients: Aloe Barbadensis, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Vitis vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Prunus armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed, Oil, Aveno Stevia (Oat oil), Sodium Steryl Lactylate, Emulpro, GSB, Glycerin USP Kosher, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, ( Aniba rosaeodora (Rosewood oil), Tocopherol Oil (Vitamin E), Cananga odorata (Ylang Ylang), Citrus Reticulata (Tangerine) Peel Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens(Geranium), All essential oils are steam distilled!

Frownies Immune Shield Vitamin E Serum ($32,00 for 66ml. from Frownies, Walgreens and StrawberryNet): This multipurpose oil-based serum can be used on the face to nourish and moisturize, heal blemishes, and give skin a dewy radiance. Furthermore, it can be used on the body to nourish the skin, but its high concentration also helps to heal scars and stretch marks. It is a mid-weight oil that sinks into warm, damp skin quickly and it nourishes and hydrates the skin very effectively. It smells like Vitamin E, but its natural aroma fades after its absorbed not the skin. It is wonderful when used alone on the face and body, but my favored method is to mix it with Aroma Therapy Daily Body Lotion and to use it on my body. This combination is deeply nourishing, and it leaves skin unbelievably soft, silky smooth, moisturized and luminous.

Overall Assessment: While Frownies Aroma Therapy Daily Body Lotion and Immune Shield Vitamin E Serum are fantastic individually, I love to mix them. They leave my skin silky smooth, baby soft and ultra moisturized.

It is lightweight, rather than dense, and, in fact, it is so soft to the touch that one eagerly anticipates its ability to effortlessly melt into the skin– which it does immediately. It can be used alone as a highly effective moisturizer, or it can be used in conjunction with your favorite face oil for added moisture. Skin is left with a smooth, velvety texture that will leave you deliriously happy. It has a hypnotic warm earthy aroma that is soothing to the senses.

H is for Love Lip Glacé in Root & Berry (Value: $17.00 for .17 oz): This glossy balm, which is nourishing and ultra-moisturizing, leaves lips soft, silky smooth and supple. It is very emollient, but it clings to the lips without even the slightest hint of stickiness. It has the perfect amount of cushion for comfortable wear, and a single application lasts for several hours. The natural pigments, while intense in the pot and in my swatch, offer a juicy, light wash of red on the lips. There is a very light aroma that is primarily punctuated by the peppermint and vanilla oils, but it fades almost immediately. It is important to note that it is neither in the least bit overpowering, nor is it irritating to the lips– instead it is refreshing and comforting.

Lip Glacé is a universally flattering rose-colored gloss. Its tint is derived from berries, roots and flowers and completely void of mica, iron oxides or mineral pigments. Highly regenerative sea buckthorn CO2 lends a touch of red clay color to the mix. Virgin, cold-pressed coconut oil creates a matte look in the pot, but once warmed by your lips it becomes glossy (glacé!)

Glacé is perfection if you seek a touch of femininity in a deeply hydrating gloss. Its effect is subtle, serving to enhance the natural look of the wearer and it can also layer beautifully over nearly any lipstick color.

Overall Assessment: First, I have to say that the value for this green beauty box is phenomenal– you get three full size products, with a combined value of $162.00, for only $49.95! All three products boast exceptional quality, are a serious treat to use, and they are ultra-effective. A+
