Beauty Box 5 July 2017 Unboxing

For some reason my July Beauty Box 5 arrived yesterday, at the end of August, and I haven't yet received my August box– therefore I am a little late to the party. I will say, however, that this July box was definitely worth the wait, and it is definitely one of the best BB5 boxes that I have seen.

Each month BB5 curates a theme-based beauty box that features five products that range from full-size to samples, but the July box, with its Let's Get Lost theme, features six items– four of which are full-size.

The July Box Contents:

1) MANNA KADAR Cosmetics Glo Illuminator (Deluxe Sample. Full Size $29.00): This is a very pretty peachy highlighter that imparts a luminous, dewy finish. It can be used on the face and body, and I plan on testing it out today!

2) LUSETA BEAUTY Argan Oil Hair Masque (Deluxe Sample. Full Size $29.00): I always welcome trying new hair masks, and this one promises to revitalize damaged and color treated hair. In the shower it goes. It has a light and pleasant fragrance that is neither overpowering, nor is it cloying.

3) STYLI-STYLE Line & Seal Semi-Permanent Eye Liner (Full Size. $6.50): I am very excited about trying this eye liner, it claims to be very long-wearing, and gentle enough for sensitive eyes. The color that I received, 140 Black Pearl, is a very pretty black that is punctuated by silver shimmer. It is perfect for the fall, and I look forward to wearing it.

6) NANACOCO Rio II Nail Polish (Full Size. $3.95): The color that I received, #1 Fan, is a beautiful periwinkle blue that is Labor Day pedi perfect!

Overall Assessment: This box is a tremendous value for the $12.00 cost. Four out of the six products were full-size, and the remaining two were very generous deluxe samples. This is definitely one of my favorite BB5 boxes to date!

Beauty Box 5 June 2017 Unveiling

Each month BB5 curates a theme-based beauty box that features five products that range from full-size to samples. I should note that I received my June BB5 box at the end of the month because it had been mis-delivered to a neighbor instead, and that is why I am posting it late.

Jesse's Girl Liquid Eyeliner (Full Size. Retail $6.99): I have to confess that I am one of the few beauty bloggers who has not tried Jesse's Girl, and am therefore happy to try this liquid eyeliner. Instead of traditional black, this is a bright pop of blue that is perfect for the summer. Jesse's Girl describes it as a "calligraphy-style brush" that allows for great control and precision. #IWANTJESSESGIRL

Laritzy Lip Pencil (Full Size. Retail $18.00): I love a high quality lip pencil that is long-wearing, feather-proof, and ultra-pigmented, and it looks as though the Laritzy Lip Pencil fits the bill. #LARITZY

Coastal Scents Revealed 3 Palette (Mini Sampler): I have been curious about Coastal Scents, and this cute mini palette is going right into my travel bag because the size is absolutely perfect for short weekend trips.They suggest that these shadows are highly pigmented and buildable, and I look forward to experimenting with them. #COASTALSCENTS

DID Hair Jeweled Hair Tie Set (Full Size. Retail $7.50): I have long hair, and I simply cannot have enough hair ties. I stash them everywhere, including on my wrist, and this type never pulls the hair or causes creases. #DIDHAIR

Overall Assessment: The June box is a great value, and it by far exceeds the $12.00 price of admission!

Jersey Shore Cosmetics Mongongo Lip Conditioner (Full Size. Retail $10.00): This organic lip balm is great on its own, but also works well as a lipstick base to condition the lips. It smells like coconut! #jerseycosmetics

Mini Bonus Item: De La Cruz Arnica Salve (Deluxe Sample 0.12 oz.): This is a moisturizer that is intended for dry and cracked skin.

Overall Assessment: The May box is a great value, and it by far exceeds the $12.00 price tag! I will use everything in the box, and think that these picks will be great for the summer months.

Sweep Rose Gold Lash Curler (Full Size. Retail $15.99): These are really sturdy lash curlers that effortlessly curl lashes without any pinching or discomfort.#sweepbeauty

Did Hair Gold Bobby Pins (Full Size. Retail $8.50): These gold bobby pins are very sturdy, and the great golden hue is a nice way for a pop of metallic flair, while keeping your hair out of your face, or your up-do up! #didhair

Overall Assessment: The April box is a great value, and it by far exceeds the $12.00 price of admission!

Sweep Lashes (Full Size. Retail $15.00): This is a really affordable way to try falsies. Directions: Measure lashes to your lash line, and trim. Then apply adhesive to the lash band and wait 30-45 seconds until the glue is tacky– then place right above natural lashes. #sweepbeauty

Sweep Lash Helper (Full Size. Retail $9.99): This innovative tool was specifically created to help you perfectly place false eyelashes directly on your lash line. Directions: Once the lash is in the head of the tool, then tilt chin up for an easier view and apply. #sweepbeauty

Manna Kadar Lash Primer (Deluxe Sample. Retail Full Size $24.00): If you aren't looking to wear falsies, but instead want to lengthen and bulk up your natural lashes, then apply a lash primer before your mascara. Prestige Cosmetics True Metals Eyeshadow in Gilded (Full Size. $9.75): This gorgeous antique gold metallic eyeshadow can be worn wet or dry for a high impact foiled look. This powder eyeshadow is so creamy and finely milled that you can apply it with your finger or a brush. #prestigecosmetics

Bellapierre Cosmetics Cosmetic Glitter in Spectra (Full Size. $15.00): This multipurpose cosmetic glitter can be used with a mixing medium, or directly on the skin. It can even be added to a bubble bath for an all-over sheen. For dramatic flair, pat on top of your eyeshadow! #bellapierre

Overall Assessment: The March 2017 BB5 box is an unbelievable value given that four of the five products are full size. My very favorite product is the Prestige Cosmetics True Metals Eyeshadow in Gilded– it is so gorgeous, and I will wear it a lot! I tried smudging it over black eyeliner, and the effect was absolutely stunning!

Beauty Box 5 January and February 2017 | Unveiling and Review

Each month BB5 curates a theme-based beauty box that features five products that range from full-size to samples. In this feature I will unveil the contents of their January and February 2017 boxes. This is the first time that I have done this, and I will tell you why...I have a brand new mailman who generally delivers my mail to who knows where, and it is often days or weeks later that a neighbor will show up with a some of my mail. Accordingly, one of my neighbors seemed to have received my January box, and it appeared on my porch around the same time that my February box appeared. Therefore, I thought that I would unveil them simultaneously.

Jean Pierre Cosmetics Pink Moisturizing Lip Mask (Single Application Sample. Set of five $5.00): This lip mask, "repairs dryness with collagen, vitamins and minerals." You simply apply the mask to your lips, leave it on for 15 minutes, and then rub in the remaining liquid. #JEANPIERRECOMSTICS

So Susan Colour Hybrid in Marsala (Full Size. $17.50): This rich-cream-mousse pigment can be used on the lips for a pigmented pout, or on your cheeks. #SOSOSUSANCOSMETICS

Style Essentials Lip Glow in Blush (Full Size. $4.00): This moisturizing, sheer lip balm is comfortable on the lips, and it's perfect for a no makeup makeup look. #STYLESSENTIALS

Overall Assessment: The January & February 2017 BB5 boxes were both a good value, and it's worth more than the $12.00 cost of admission. However, if you are obsessed with lip products, then the February box will make you especially happy!

Overall Assessment: The December BB5 box is definitely a good value, and it's worth more than the $12.00 cost of admission. The Jelly Pong Pong Liquid Gossamer and Hikari Lip Gloss in Salsa are the definite highlights for me, but everything is perfect for travel during the holidays!

Peony Cosmetics Shadow Trio in Gilded (Full Size. Retail $17.95): I was so impressed by the creamy formula when I swatched this eyeshadow trio, and can't wait to try it on my eyes. It is such a beautiful neutral palette!

Overall Assessment: The November BB5 box is definitely a good value, and it's worth more than the $12.00 cost of admission. I am quite pleased with their selection of goodies this month.

Each month BB5 curates a theme-based beauty box that features five products that range from full-size to samples. The theme of the October 2016 box is "Boss Babe Comin' Thru."

What's in the box:

Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter Pencil (Full Size. Retail $18.00): This is such a pretty highlighter pencil that is perfection in the Cupid's Bow. It can also be used to conceal blemishes and dark circles, or can be used to accentuate the brown bone or inner corners of the eyes.

Overall Assessment: The October BB5 box is such a great value, but I am particularly excited about the Real Her Moisturizing Lipstick and Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter Pencil.
