Beauty Box 5 April 2017 Unveiling and Review

Each month BB5 curates a theme-based beauty box that features five products that range from full-size to samples. The April box, with its Stay Golden theme, features four full size products, and one deluxe sample. I should note that I received my April BB5 box in May, and therefore cannot guarantee that there are any left in stock.

The April Box theme and contents:

Jean Pierre Vitamin-C Sheet Mask (Contains 1 Mask. Set of 5 Masks Retail $12.99): This brightening and hydrating mask contains Vitamin C to lighten dark spots and brighten the complexion. Simply apply it to cleansed skin for 15 minutes, and then remove it. #jeanpierre

BB5 Highlight Fan Brush (Full Size. Retail $12.00): If you love to use highlighters, and want to have a brush that gives it a diffused look, then a fan brush is the perfect choice! #beautybox5

Be a Bombshell Blush (Full Size. Retail $6.00): These highly pigmented blushes can also be used as bronzers, and the shade that I received, Tanorexic, is definitely a bronzer more than a blush. #beabombshell

Sweep Rose Gold Lash Curler (Full Size. Retail $15.99): These are really sturdy lash curlers that effortlessly curl lashes without any pinching or discomfort.#sweepbeauty

Did Hair Gold Bobby Pins (Full Size. Retail $8.50): These gold bobby pins are very sturdy, and the great golden hue is a nice way for a pop of metallic flair, while keeping your hair out of your face, or your up-do up! #didhair

Overall Assessment: The April box is a great value, and it by far exceeds the $12.00 price of admission!

Each month BB5 curates a theme-based beauty box that features five products that range from full-size to samples. The March box is all about creating dramatic eyes!

The March Box theme and contents:

Sweep Lashes (Full Size. Retail $15.00): This is a really affordable way to try falsies. Directions: Measure lashes to your lash line, and trim. Then apply adhesive to the lash band and wait 30-45 seconds until the glue is tacky– then place right above natural lashes. #sweepbeauty

Sweep Lash Helper (Full Size. Retail $9.99): This innovative tool was specifically created to help you perfectly place false eyelashes directly on your lash line. Directions: Once the lash is in the head of the tool, then tilt chin up for an easier view and apply. #sweepbeauty

Manna Kadar Lash Primer (Deluxe Sample. Retail Full Size $24.00): If you aren't looking to wear falsies, but instead want to lengthen and bulk up your natural lashes, then apply a lash primer before your mascara. This creamy formula features, "proteins and hydration for hair follicles and prevents mascara from flaking." #mannakadar #mannababe

Prestige Cosmetics True Metals Eyeshadow in Gilded (Full Size. $9.75): This gorgeous antique gold metallic eyeshadow can be worn wet or dry for a high impact foiled look. This powder eyeshadow is so creamy and finely milled that you can apply it with your finger or a brush. #prestigecosmetics

Bellapierre Cosmetics Cosmetic Glitter in Spectra (Full Size. $15.00): This multipurpose cosmetic glitter can be used with a mixing medium, or directly on the skin. It can even be added to a bubble bath for an all-over sheen. For dramatic flair, pat on top of your eyeshadow! #bellapierre

Overall Assessment: The March 2017 BB5 box is an unbelievable value given that four of the five products are full size. My very favorite product is the Prestige Cosmetics True Metals Eyeshadow in Gilded– it is so gorgeous, and I will wear it a lot! I tried smudging it over black eyeliner, and the effect was absolutely stunning!

Hikari Cosmetics Eye Shadow in Haze (Full Size. Retail $13.00): This is a highly pigmented eyeshadow that is finely milled and silky smooth. It glides across the skin effortlessly and deposits color evenly. While Haze is described as a Gold with Heavy Shimmer, I would characterize it as a gorgeous golden taupe. #hikaricosmetics

Beauty Box 5 Round Blender Brush (Full Size. Retail $10.00): This is a great eyeshadow brush for laying down a wash of color, and for blending and buffing eyeshadow, and for applying highlighter to the face. #beautybox5

Skinny Tan Mini Mitt (Full Size. Retail $4.95): If you seek an on-the-go-glow, then this super convenient mini-mitt will allow you to apply self-tanner to small areas effectively and efficiently. #skinnytan

Sweep Rose Gold Tweezers (Full Size. Retail $14.00): These full-size slant-tip tweezers come with their own little plastic case that makes the perfect for traveling. It protects the tips from damage, and keeps them clean. #sweepbeauty

Chella Tantalizing Taupe Brow Color Pencil (Full Size. $18.00): The super fine-tip of this brow pencil allows you to apply it with precision, and the no-shapen tip is very convenient. #chellabeauty

Overall Assessment: The July BB5 box is such a great value, and it features six full-sized products, instead of five products that are a combination of full and sample sizes. This was definitely a great month in the land of BB5!

Overall Assessment: The June BB5 box is such a great value, and it features five really nice summer-ready products. Two beauty tools, a bronzer/highlighter duo, a sheet mask and a gradual tanning moisturizer make this a great value, and a perfect summer-ready box for sun-kissed skin without the sun.
