Shared Planet Sea Turtle Highlighting Palette is a stunning cruelty-free and vegan highlighting palette, and Shared Planet is donating 10% of the proceeds from the sale to The Sea Turtle Conservancy. Top Pick Cruelty-Free Luxury Tinted Lip Oils from Hourglass and Kosas

That I have a preference for lip glosses and lip oils has been well-documented throughout these virtual pages, and the extent to which I love these tinted variants cannot be sufficiently underscored. Therefore, I thought that I would highlight my favorite cruelty-free ultra-luxe tinted lip oils from Kosas and Hourglass.

Tinted Lip Oils offer the perfect wash of color without sacrifice any of the conditioning benefits of a lip oil or lip balm, and they are a perfect way for people with dry lips, or winter induced dry lips, to adorn their lips with a gorgeous wash of color.

This plumping and moisturizing lip oil hybrid is filled with ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid, Peptides, Evening Primrose Oil, Avocado Oil and Shea Butter that nourish and condition even severely chapped lips.

The texture is lightweight, and emollient, with a slightly oily texture, but it is not so oily that it slides right off of the lips or sinks into them and disappears. It is very smooth and silky without the least bit of gritty texture. Instead, it moisturizes, but it also wears like a hybrid lip oil gloss, and I find that it lasts on me for a couple of hours. It is very comfortable on the lips, with the perfect amount of cushion, and has quickly become one of my favorite things to wear. It has a light fruity aroma, but that fades nearly immediately, and therefore it should pose no problem for people sensitive to scented lip products.

RMS Beauty Pressed Blush in Lost Angel, Crushed Rose & Mooncry Swatches

A longtime reader told me that she was seeking a cruelty-free blush that looks a lot like NARS Orgasm, which is a shade that she loves, but that she will no longer purchase since NARS isn't cruelty-free anymore. I have been in love with Kosås since I first began using their products a few years ago. Their skin-loving eco-friendly ingredients make using their products a joy, and there is never a sense that you are sacrificing anything other than unhealthy ingredients.

When they recently launched the Kosås Tinted Face Oil, I was more thrilled than you can imagine. I prefer light-coverage foundations and tinted moisturizers that allow the skin to breathe and to show through. That their variant is a tinted face oil, is undoubtedly a cause for celebration for me since it combines two of my favorite things: face oils and lightweight light coverage foundations.

In fact, Kosås Tinted Face Oil is truly a featherweight tinted oil that is nourishing and hydrating, and it adds a lighter veil of coverage that perfects the complexion. The texture is light and slightly oily, but like a dry oil, it melts into the skin and leaves behind no residue.

Simply shake the bottle, in order to emulsify the tinted oil, and then massage 2-4 drops into the skin for lighter coverage, and 4-6 drops into the for more full coverage. It is formulated to be applied, with your fingers, as you would a serum or a moisturizer, and therefore no brushes or sponges are necessary for proper application, and for the desired results. Skin is left luminous and even in tone– with blurred pores and imperfections. This is a dream-come-true for me, but if you only wear very full-coverage foundations this might not provide you with the level of opacity that you seek. That said, this formula is so exquisite that I highly recommend trying it!

Kosås Tinted Face Oil is available in 10 shades, of which I have swatched four below. I wear shade 01 because it has pink undertones that work well with my cool-toned complexion. That said, the 10 shades were created to be worn for up to 30 complexions because of the way in which the shades have been "optically blended" and because they magically adjust to the tone of each complexion. Therefore, there are a variety of shades that will likely work for each individual, as well.

Overall Assessment: I am so impressed by this formula, and simply cannot underscore the extent to which I am thrilled that Kosås created their Tinted Face Oil. It is as though they custom made it for me! A+

Kjaer Weis Eye Shadow in Wisdom | Swatches & Review

Kjaer Weis Eye Shadow in Wisdom is an ultra-luxe eyeshadow that can either be purchased in a gorgeous metal compact or in a refill pan, and while I was tempted to purchase the gorgeous compact I opted instead to buy the refill since I have depotted most of my shadows. Additionally, purchasing the refill saves a lot of money.

Filled with organic ingredients, instead of multi-syllabic chemicals, this luxurious  cruelty-free eyeshadow boasts a very finely milled texture that results in a silky-smooth powder that glides across the skin effortlessly and deposits color evenly, and that offers buildable coverage. Wisdom is described as a "mix of gray, brown and purple"and Kjael Weis suggests that this "taupe is a quietly complex hue that really brings out all eye colors." It really is a gorgeous and complex taupe that is a  is especially lovely when it captures the natural sunlight. I get all-day wear without creasing, but I do not have oily eyelids, and I seldom use a primer. If you have oily eyelids you will probably want to use a primer.

Wisdom: Mix of gray, brown and purple, this taupe is a quietly complex hue that really brings out all eye colors. Great for adding richness and depth to a smokey eye or for accentuating a natural look.

Directions: For best results, apply with a brush. For deeper definition, mist the brush slightly with water, intensifying the application of the shadow. To create the effect of a soft eyeliner, dampen an eyeliner brush with water and apply along the lash line.

Overall Assessment: I am very happy with Wisdom, and am thinking about purchasing another color. If you love taupe eyeshadows, this is definitely one worth having.
