Rahua Color Full Hair Mask ($62.00 for 7 oz. from Rahua, Bloomingdale's, Space NK, Nordstrom, Sephora, Net-A-Porter, Dermstore, Barneys New York, b-glowing, Cult Beauty, Follain, Harrods and The Detox Market): This is an ultra-luxe hydrating mask that is rich, emollient and nourishing for dry, color-treated hair. Rahua recommends leaving it in for 10-15 minutes, but I tend to leave it my hair for about 30 minutes, and the results are amazing. Hair is left soft, silky-smooth, hydrated and shiny. It has a warm, and delectable, herbal aroma that is incredibly pleasant.

I have dry and naturally curly that is color-treated, and therefore non-stripping shampoos and conditioners that are very hydrating are an absolute necessity for me. In fact, many so-called hydrating shampoos and conditioners leave my hair frizzy, stripped and dry, or greasy and weighed down. Therefore, my discovery Rahua Hydration Shampoo and Hydration Conditioner, which are both intensely hydrating, ranks among my greatest recent haircare finds.

Additionally, Rahua's products are cruelty-free, vegan, gluten-free, safe for color-treated hair and filled with safe and healthy clean and green ingredients.

Rahua Hydration Shampoo ($34.00 for 9.5 oz. from Rahua, Dermstore and The Detox Market): Many shampoos claim to be moisturizing, but seldom do they deliver on such promises without leaving behind an unpleasant greasy residue that weighs hair down. Rahua, on the other hand, has in this wondrous shampoo created a delectable cleanser that has a rich and creamy lather that hydrates, rather than strips dry hair, and it never weighs it down. The first thing that you will undoubtedly note, aside from the incredible lather, is the delicious passion fruit and mango aroma– seriously, it smells so good that I often just open it up to have a sniff! The ultra-nourishing shampoo not only hydrates unruly tresses, but it also effectively fights frizz and leaves hair with a lovely shine. If you have straight hair, this is a bit easier to achieve, but if you have naturally curly hair it is a far greater challenge. If you have dry hair, frizzy hair or over-processed hair, then this is a really great shampoo choice for you.

Rahua Hydration Conditioner ($36.00 for 9.3 oz. from Rahua, Dermstore and The Detox Market): This deeply moisturizing conditioner is perfection for dry, frizzy, damaged hair. It delivers intense hydration without leaving behind a greasy residue, or weighing down hair, and it soothes the cuticle while fighting frizz. I love to apply it and then comb it though from roots to tips, and leave it in for the duration of my shower before rinsing it out. The delectable passion fruit and mango scent is such a treat to the senses, and it lingers in the hair for a little while– though I wish it would linger all day. The first time that I used it I was astonished by the extent to which this lovely conditioner tamed my frizz, deeply nourished and hydrated my hair, and left it with a glossy shine. It also makes my hair very manageable, and leaves my curls with the most lovely soft and glossy ringlets.

Overall Assessment: This mighty duo is absolutely perfect for my dry, curly and color-treated hair. If you have hair that is dry, over-processed, chemically-treated, prone to frizz, naturally curly or damaged– then I highly recommend trying these gems! A+

I have long been obsessed with Shu Uemura Art of Hair products because they are ultra-luxe, they boast serious efficacy and the textures are sublime. I have used their products for many years, and it is one of the best luxury brands in which I regularly luxuriate! Here are a few cleansing, treatment and styling products that I wanted to share with you– that are definitely worthy of your consideration.

Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil Shampoo Gentle Radiance Cleanser ($57.00 for 13.4 oz. from Shu Uemura The Art of Hair): This shampoo is so gentle and non-stripping that my hair is manageable before I even condition it.  It deeply and gently cleanses the hair and scalp, and it hydrates without overdoing it. Hair is never left greasy or feeling dirty, but instead feels nourished, moisturized, volumized, balanced and soothed. Furthermore, my hair is left soft, supple and shiny when I use this shampoo.

Hair is never left greasy or feeling dirty, but instead feels nourished, moisturized and soothed. Furthermore, my hair is left soft, supple and shiny when I use this shampoo. It is a perfect selection for people with dry hair and scalp– which makes it the perfect choice for my dry, curly hair.

Shu Uemura Essence Absolue Nourishing Taming Overnight Serum ($69.00 for 3.3 oz. from Shu Uemura The Art of Hair and Adore Beauty): This overnight treatment serum nourishes hair and makes it infinitely more manageable. It effectively fights frizz, soothes and smoothes hair and gives it  a lovely shine. It has an intoxicatingly beautiful fruity floral scent that is very comforting to fall asleep to.

It is neither greasy, nor flaky and it does not make the hair feel or look stiff and unnatural.

There is nothing that dulls color-treated hair faster than using the wrong shampoo and conditioner. I color treat my hair a couple of time a year, and given that I have naturally curly hair that has a tendency to be dry– I have to be very careful to select nourishing shampoos, conditioners and styling products.

DermOrganic Color Care Conditioner ($18.00 for 12 oz. from Ulta): If you seek a conditioner that is emollient and moisturizing enough to enable you to get a comb through unruly hair, then this is definitely a conditioner worthy of your attention. Not only is this a very nourishing and hydrating conditioner that fights frizz, makes hair manageable and detangled, but it also creates shiny, soft and supple hair. It enhances the longevity of color-treatments, but it is so gentle that it is the type of conditioner that I would use even when my hair isn't color treated. It has the same mild herbal/citrus aroma as its companion shampoo, and its scent also doesn't linger or interfere with any fragrances that you might wear.

DermOrganic Color Care 8-Way Thermal Spray ($18.00 for 4 oz. from Ulta): On the rare occasions that I blow dry my hair, I always make sure to use a thermal finishing spray for an added layer of protection between my hair and the hair dryer. Even when I don't use styling tools, I almost always use some sort of leave-in spray for added protection and moisture. DermOrganic Pure Argan Oil ($38.00 for 1.7 oz. from Ulta): Given my penchant for beauty oils, it should come as no surprise that I am particularly excited about this multi-purpose Argan Oil. I have used it from head to toe.

This is a lightweight and fast absorbing oil that deeply nourishes the skin– leaving it soft, supple, hydrated and with an unmistakable luminosity. I simply apply it to warm, slightly damp, freshly washed skin, and it does not leave behind any greasy residue.

This can be applied to damp or dry hair to condition the scalp, smooth and condition the hair and to eliminate frizz, to add shine and to leave hair soft and shiny. There is no detectable fragrance to this ultra-nourishing Argan Oil.

Overall Assessment: I am very impressed by the efficacy of the Color Care line and the Pure Argan Oil, and I like them so much that I will definitely purchase replacements as soon as I finish these up. If you have color treated hair, or are simple seeking gentle, non-stripping products– then these DermOrganic products are most definitely worth your consideration. A+
