I recently discovered an amazing eco-friendly way to remove makeup that has replaced my makeup wipes. I still tend to use a separate eye makeup remover, but it is not necessary, and not everyone who uses these Juno & Co. Cleansing Cookies does. When paired with a cleansing balm, makeup melts off of the skin, and this cotton Cleansing Cookie feels soft, plush and luxurious. It removes everything, and is the perfect first step in a double cleanse routine. This wonderful tool is reusable, eco-friendly and machine washable.

Directions: Pair with June & Co. Clean 10 Cleansing Balm, or your preferred cleansing balm, for the ultimate cleanse.

HOW TO USE:

Wet cleansing cookie liberally with warm water.

-Apply a scoop of our Clean 10 Cleansing Balm to clean hands to melt the balm, then emulsify on your face.

-Working in sections, gently massage the makeup remover pad onto your skin in small circular motions.

-Repeat until all makeup residue is gone.

-Follow with your favorite facial cleanser.

HOW TO USE:

For eye makeup removal, gently rub cleansing cookie on closed eyes.

-Keep dry when not in use.

Overall Assessment: The June & Co. Cleansing Cookie is effective, easy to use and eco friendly. I stopped using disposable cotton pads and cotton balls a while ago, in favor of reusable and washable cotton rounds, and now I am also using this wonderful Cleansing Cookie as well.

Vichy Summer Skin Saviors

I have rounded up three of my all-time favorite, and most coveted, Vichy products that I have used for years, and that I have been using all summer long. They are the perfect skin saviors for this hot weather!

I am a huge fan of thermal water sprays, and Vichy Mineralizing Thermal Water is sourced directly from French volcanoes. This soothing and refreshing spray feels amazing against the skin, and I often spritz it on right after I apply my favorite beauty oil to help speed up absorption, and because it allows me to use less oil. This can be used any time of the day, but I do like to spritz my face before going to bed for a little extra hydration. However, in the warm and hot weather, I keep this in the refrigerator and use it whenever I need to cool down and feel refreshed, and since the weather has been very hot in LA, I have been reaching for this with great frequency! Furthermore, it can be used to moisten makeup sponges, used to help set makeup.

Overall Assessment: I use these all of the time, and will continue to buy them over and over and over again! They are perfect all year round, but they are utter perfection during the summer!

Derma E has so many impressive and affordable cruelty-free products, and as I have said repeatedly– I use their products all of the time. I love using face wipes, and Derma E Vitamin C Brightening Micellar Wipes are really worth having on hand. They are biodegradable premoistened wipes that are very soft, plush and gentle against the skin. They effectively remove makeup, dirt, impurities and excess oils, and skin is left soft and clean. A Few Winter Beauty Favorites to Pamper Yourself

This winter I have been reaching for a lot of products to pamper myself from head to toe because the cold air has wrought so much havoc on my skin and hair. I thought that I would feature a few products that I have been using a lot this season, and that you might be interested in trying.

SUN BUM Sun Screen Lip Balm ($3.99 from Ulta): One thing that I never leave home without is lip balm with a sunscreen, and even though it is cold outside doesn't mean that we don't need sun protection. I wear them alone and under my favorite lipsticks or lip glosses, and I leave them in my jacket pockets, purses, work bags, desk drawers and car– essentially anywhere that I will be in need of both moisture and sun protection. SUN BUM also has wonderful Tinted Lip Balms with an SPF 15 and CocoBalm versions that contain no sunscreen.

7th Heaven Masks ($1.99 each from 7th Heaven and Ulta): are fun, affordable, cruelty-free and effective. They draw out impurities and leave skin soft and smooth. They apply as a gel but when they dry they transform into a rubbery mask that you peel off in sheets. They are so fun to use– especially when you get to peel them off!

Mustela (Available from Mustela, Nordstrom, buybuybaby, Target, Walgreens, Amazon, Dermstore, Bed, Bath & Beyond, CVS and Walmart) is a wonderful skincare brand for babies and mothers, but you neither have to be a baby, nor the mother of a baby to love their nourishing products. Their wipes are very gentle on even the most sensitive skin, and they leave it soft, smooth hydrated and pampered, and I use them for a multitude of uses from cleaning my hands, to removing swatches and makeup. Many of their products have light pleasant aromas, but others are fragrance-free. Furthermore, their lotions are emollient, hydrating and perfect for the cold weather.

Mustela Must-Have Wipes

Cleansing wipes are one of the greatest inventions because they are handy, packed conveniently in user-friendly packaging, they are easy to use, and you can carry them with you on the go. Admittedly, it was removing swatches and excessive product that made cleansing wipes an absolutely indispensable part of my routine, but they are useful for so much more. I keep them in my car to clean my hands and to clean up any smeared makeup in extreme heat. My latest most reached for cleansing wipes are from Mustela, and while they are a favorite to use on babies, they have become incredibly popular for adult use as well.

They are gentle, effective and compact. They do have added fragrance, a very pleasant hard-to-describe scent, that leaves skin feeling and smelling fresh. If you are sensitive to fragrance you will prefer their unscented wipes, and if you have sensitive eyes you will want to avoid the fragrant variety to remove your makeup.
