As you all know, I am a big fan of exfoliation, and body scrubs are a regular part of my shower routine. I only tend to exfoliate my body once a week, and one of the key benefits of removing excess dead skin cells is that it allows your moisturizers and serums to sink in more easily and you can use less product. I personally use it with my body washes since I think that their scrubs effectively exfoliate my skin, and the mitt simply isn't necessary. This mitt, which is two-sided (micro-fiber on one side and the exfoliating fiber side on the other), is highly effective in its ability to clean and exfoliate the skin.

I am a big fan of body scrubs and exfoliating body washes that invigorate the skin and the senses. However, I like to have luxury and drugstore items from which to choose, and here are my top two picks that are definitely worthy of your consideration!

The warm weather is here, and one of my favorite things to do is to exfoliate to remove dead skin cells and to reveal silky smooth skin. Here are my Top 5 Luxury Body Scrubs for the season.

SALT By Hendrix Magical Rose Sugar Soufflé ($35.00 for 7 oz. from SALT By Hendrix): is yet another reason to fall madly in love with this stupendous Australian brand. As you already know, I am thoroughly smitten with the SALT by Hendrix Coco-Salt Body Buff (Reviewed HERE), but I actually might just love their Magical Rose Sugar Soufflé even more. As the name rightly suggests, it really is a magical scrub. This sugar-based exfoliator has a light and fluffy soufflé texture that is neither too dry, nor too oily. It contains a lovely symphony of oils that hydrate and nourish the skin while the sugar particles exfoliate dead skin cells–revealing soft, smooth, supple and moisturized skin. It has a light rose aromatic veil that is very soft and feminine. This lovely scrub is cruelty-free and free of toxic ingredients, and the sugar melts completely, and therefore will not clog your drain (and is safe for the environment).

It effectively and gently removes dead skin cells to reveal soft, supple and hydrated skin. The sugar crystals dissolve while the Shea Butter melts into the skin providing superior moisture. Unlike many body scrubs that are suspended in oils or butters, this remarkable scrub washes clean leaving behind no greasy residue.

I immediately follow by applying one of my favorite body oils and body creams for unbelievably dewy, luminous skin. The formula is so gently and soothing that it is suitable for all types of skin.

Directions: "Apply to damp skin to exfoliate by massaging with upward circular motions 1-3 per week concentrating on areas including hands, feet, knees and elbows. NaturaBrasil, which is Brasil's number 1 beauty brand, works with communities in the Amazon to, "to develop the best natural ingredients for skin and hair – and to help keep the Amazon forest standing for generations to come." I have been using some of their bath & body, skincare and haircare products, which range from $9.00-$54.00, and their textures, aromas and efficacy make them such a joy to use. I absolutely love their Cacau Body Scrub ($25.00), and am currently on my second or third jar.

Cacau Body Scrub has a delectable aroma and leaves skin unbelievably soft, smooth and hydrated. This cruelty-free, and vegan, sugar scrub gently removed dead skin cells, and the lovely oils and shea butter leave skin soft and hydrated. The sugar particles dissolve on the skin, after it exfoliates, and the particles don't irritate my sometimes sensitive skin.

SALT By Hendrix Magical Rose Sugar Soufflé is yet another reason to fall madly in love with this stupendous Australian brand. As you already know, I am thoroughly smitten with the SALT by Hendrix Coco-Salt Body Buff (Reviewed HERE), but I actually might just love their Magical Rose Sugar Soufflé even more. As the name rightly suggests, it really is a magical scrub. This sugar-based exfoliator has a light and fluffy soufflé texture that is neither too dry, nor too oily. It contains a lovely symphony of oils that hydrate and nourish the skin while the sugar particles exfoliate dead skin cells–revealing soft, smooth, supple and moisturized skin. It has a light rose aromatic veil that is very soft and feminine. This lovely scrub is cruelty-free and free of toxic ingredients, and the sugar melts completely, and therefore will not clog your drain (and is safe for the environment).

Directions: Take a generous scoop and gently buff into damp skin.

Overall Assessment: I am in love with this scrub, it is the embodiment of the perfect body exfoliator! A+

SALT By Hendrix Coco-Salt Body Buff | Review

I absolutely LOVE using high quality body scrubs, and do I ever have one to share with you! SALT By Hendrix Coco-Salt Body Buff is a delectable ultra-luxe natural exfoliant, from Australia, that is vegan, cruelty-free and such a treat to use. You simply add a little water to about half a tablespoon of the SALT By Hendrix Coco-Salt Body Buff, and mix it in your hand and gently buff the skin. It effectively exfoliates dead skin cells leaving the skin silky smooth, incredibly soft and supple. It has a very light milky lavender aroma that is calming, and not in the least bit pungent. Furthermore, it rinses clean and doesn't leave the skin, or the bottom of the shower, covered in an oily residue.

According to SALT by Hendrix,

Buff your way to smooth skin with our coconut based body scrub. Full of organic ingredients, this body treatment will leave your skin feeling moisturized and soft.

Directions: Use every third or fourth day. Apply one tablespoon of Coco-Salt Body Buff to 1/2 tablespoon of water. Blend in the palm of your hand, then gently buff the skin. Repeat as required for a more intense treatment. Remove with warm water.

Overall Assessment: This is a really uplifting and incredibly satisfying body scrub to use, and I definitely recommend it if you love using high quality natural salt scrubs.
