It is a well-known fact that Zeus is a weirdo, even as weird felines go. It is also abundantly clear that this cat is very smart, and one might even argue that his intelligence eclipses that of many humans roaming the planet.
He sits and observes things, and often modifies his behavior when he sees that certain behaviors do not deliver the desired results. He is calculated, introspective and a shockingly brilliant problem solver.
If I had not actually seen his latest endeavor with my own two eyes, I simply would not have thought it possible. Imagine, if you will, a hard-to-open door knob to the exterior that takes even human hands a moment to open. Now, imagine a cat standing on his tippy-toes reaching for said door knob and leveraging his weight and using his nimble front paws to turn this knob and open the door. Zeus, who is an indoor cat, is very proud of his considerable accomplishment. He doesn't quite know what to do with himself once he gets into the backyard, but he is, nonetheless, thrilled by his precocious new skill set. We are less-than-thrilled, and frankly worried because there are coyotes that have been visiting our neighborhood seeking food on a regular basis.
Our only line of defense is to make sure that the deadbolt is securely fastened, but even then I wonder if this Kitty Einstein will find a way to unlock it. We have been talking about building a catio in our backyard, and these recent shenanigans seem to be proof positive that it should happen sooner, rather than later!

If you love the aroma of lavender in your body products, as do I, then you really must try L'Occitane's lavender soaps, creams and lotions. I realize that lavender seldom elicits a neutral response– people either tend to love it or dislike it. For me, high quality scented body care products tend to transport me to Provence upon first inhale, and make me supremely happy. I have used many L'Occitane body products over the years, and their lavender gems rank among my very favorite on the market. They are high quality, a pleasure to use, and they are affordable and infinitely accessible!
L'Occitane Shea Butter Extra-Gentle Lavender Soap ($12.00 for 8.8 oz. from L'Occitane, Nordstrom, Sephora and QVC): This delectably scented lavender soap has a creamy, non-drying lather that is gentle, non-stripping and nourishing. Furthermore, it thoroughly cleanses without leaving a greasy film, and one bar lasts a very long time. I love using it in the shower, and have even used it in lieu of a shave cream to save my legs and underarms, and it does an fantastic job in this capacity. If you love lavender, then this is a soap that you will likely covet.

Rich in softening and protective shea butter, this soap's foamy lather gently cleanses the skin, while preserving its natural moisture balance. The 100 percent vegetable base is ultra-gentle and suitable for everyday use.
L'Occitane Lavender Hand Cream ($12.00 for 1 oz. $ $22.00 for 2.6 oz. from L'Occitane, Sephora, Nordstrom, QVC and Essential): This light-medium weight hand cream is utterly luxurious in its smooth and creamy texture, and its delightful lavender scent. The formula is fast absorbing and fast-acting– it immediately renders hands soft, supple and ultra-hydrated. The lavender aroma is neither cloying, nor in the least bit pungent. Instead, it leaves a thin veil of scent close to the skin, and it fades away altogether after a couple of hours. I have a tube this in my work bag, and in my purse, and I delight in using it every single day!

Enriched with shea butter and lavender essential oil from Haute-Provence, this smooth, light-textured cream gently helps to nourish the hands leaving them softly perfumed.

Overall Assessment: I love this lip pencil, and at this price point I will definitely be purchasing more shades.

My skin is normal/combination, and I only get occasional pimples or breakouts. When I do get pimples, the cause tends to be of the monthly hormonal variety, or breakouts brought on by a reaction to skincare products. The former doesn't happen every month, and neither does the latter, but the latter is a byproduct of testing so many different skincare products.
