As you are well aware, the extent to which I love African Botanics cannot be sufficiently underscored. Their carefully curated skincare/wellness line is made from the finest ingredients available, and they spare no expense and cut no corners in bringing the finest quality natural products to the marketplace. Each and every single one of their products is held to the very highest standards, and they effectively merge luxury skincare with healthy, natural ingredients. The end result is an ultra luxe line that features exceedingly effective products with the finest textures and aromas imaginable.
African Botanics Marula Detoxifying Salt & Sugar Body Scrub is an antioxidant-rich body scrub that gently and effectively eliminates dead skin cells while it increases blood flow– which accelerates the removal of toxins.

The exfoliating particles, which are comprised of raw cane sugar and mineral-rich pink Himalayan crystal salt,  densely populate the oil-infused formula, and they do an exemplary job removing dead skin cells. These particles are not jagged, and therefore do not damage or traumatize the skin, and they naturally dissolve against the skin– unlike scrubs with synthetic particles that pollute the waterways. The warm, Neroli and Grapefruit aroma is delectable and calming– while the formula is itself ultra-nourishing. Once the sugar and salt dissolve, a thin veil of nourishing oils coat the skin and offer it deep moisture, and stunning luminosity. Unlike many oil-based body scrubs, African Botanics Marula Detoxifying Salt & Sugar Body Scrub thankfully does not leave an oil-slick on the shower floor. Without fail, once I emerge from the shower, my skin is left ultra soft, silky-smooth, supple, hydrated and luminous. I immediately follow by applying one of my favorite body oils and body creams for unbelievably dewy, luminous skin. The formula is so gently and soothing that it is suitable for all types of skin.

Directions: "Apply to damp skin to exfoliate by massaging with upward circular motions 1-3 per week concentrating on areas including hands, feet, knees and elbows. May also be used before getting into a warm bath or as a foot soak for the ultimate experience in well-being. Follow up with your favorite body oil or cream."
According to African Botanics,

This dual phase gentle formula contains brightening and exfoliating raw cane sugar and mineral-rich pink Himalayan crystal salt, which facilitates the body’s natural detoxification process by increasing blood and lymphatic flow. These ingredients gently scrub and eliminate dead skin cells and rough patches. A powerful combination of antioxidant-rich African Marula, Pinotage Grape seed, Baobab and Kalahari melon seed oils, replenish, renew and hydrate the skin.

  3. You had me at the word "scrub." I'm a huge fan of scrubs. I have to force myself NOT to use scrubs 3-4 times a day :)

  4. I like that this is both sugar and salt. A salt scrub is usually too strong for my skin but the combination would make it friendlier.
