I am not entirely sure why June was such a slow month with respect to Empties, but for some reason I
really did not finish many products compared to previous months. I did, however, manage to finish up several full size products. Here is what I used up:
Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask ($5.99-$9.99 for 6 oz. from Neutrogena, Drugstore.com, Amazon, Walgreens and Target. Reviewed here): This mask offers dry or over-processed hair intense moisture without leaving it heavy or limp. Whether you have naturally curly hair, colored hair, or hair that you subject to flat irons, blow dryers or curling irons, then this is a great rescue mask to help those traumatized tresses recover.
Neutrogena recommends that you use it weekly, or as often as needed, and you only need to leave it in for about 5 minutes. I will say, however, that I have left it in for up to an hour, and it leaves my hair silky soft, frizz-free, shiny and remarkably moisturized. It has a light, yet pleasant, scent that seems to fade very quickly. I am picking up another jar on my next trip to the drugstore!
PediSpa Intensive Moisturizing Foot Mask ($9.99 for two pairs from Target. Reviewed here): is an ultra-hydrating foot mask that noticeably softens and moisturizes parched feet, and aids in the repair of cracked and calloused skin. Used in conjunction with the PediSpa Exfoliating Foot Mask, this mighty duo makes feet pedicure and sandal-ready in no-time.
PediSpa Exfoliating Foot Mask ($9.99 for 1 pair from Target. Reviewed here): is a gentle foot exfoliant in the form of two treatment-filled booties that are worn like socks for the duration of the treatment cycle. This foot mask eliminates calluses and visibly removes dead skin cells within two weeks of use.
Within a few days of use, skin begins to peel away revealing soft and supple skin. This is a more gentle formula than some exfoliating foot masks, but you can amplify the results by soaking your clean feet in warm water for a few minutes to soften up the skin before applying the foot mask to your feet. Furthermore, using the PediSpa Intensive Moisturizing Foot Mask less than a week after the PediSpa Exfoliating Foot Mask helps to accelerate the peel by delivering serious hydration to your feet.
L'Occitane Peony Shower Gel ($20.00 for 8.4 oz. from L'OCCITANE. Reviewed here): The scent of the fresh Peonies is neither too sweet, nor is it overpowering, instead it is light, pleasant and refreshing. The Peony Shower Gel is delectably scented and uplifting lathering gel that delights the senses. The formula moisturizes the skin, while gently cleansing, and it leaves it soft and supple. The scent sits close to the skin, but fills that bathroom with an enchanting light floral scent.

Lifetherapy Escape Hand & Body Wash ($24.00 for 12 oz. from Lifetherapy and Open Sky. Reviewed here): This non-stripping hand and body wash leaves skin moisturized, soft, and supple. The fragrance fills the shower and thankfully lingers in the air for a while so that the enjoyment doesn't end when you finish showering. This also works beautifully for shaving legs and underarms!
The scent is a delectable fresh scent that I cannot get enough of!

Kate Somerville Exfolikate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment ($85.00-$175.00 from Nordstrom, Sephora, Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus. Reviewed here): Kate Somerville's Exfolikate is a seriously powerful exfoliating treatment, it is so effective (and potent) that you only need to leave it on your face for 30 seconds and voilà your skin is smooth and bright, and your pores are deeply cleaned. It is like getting a super effective 30 second facial. I like to apply mine in the shower about 2 times a week to keep my skin in tip top shape. If you have very sensitive skin then this is likely to be too strong, if not irritating, for you. For those with sensitive skin try Exfolikate Gentle instead- you will find it far more gentle. I have tried both and prefer the strength of Exfolikate. This definitely tingles and you may find that your face becomes a bit red after use, but that usually subsides after a few minutes. However, if you find it unpleasant or uncomfortable that is a good indication that the formula is too active for your skin. I already have a replacement tube, it's that good!
RADICAL Skincare Peptide Infused Antioxidant Serum ($190.00 for 1 oz. Available from Radical Skincare, SpaceNK US, SpaceNK UK (£125.00), Barneys New York, Sephora, Dermstore, Beauty Bar, Net-a-Porter, Bloomingdale's & Harrod's £125.00. Reviewed here): It is a very potent antioxidant rich anti-aging serum that not only protects the skin, but also moisturizes and imparts an unmistakable ethereal glow. The richly packed peptides increase collagen production and the antioxidants work overtime protecting the skin against the damaging effects of free radicals. The Trylacel suspension technology maintains maximum potency of the antioxidants, and that makes Radical Skincare products exceedingly effective.
RADICAL Skincare Youth Infusion Serum ($170.00 for 1 oz. from Radical Skincare, Sephora, Barneys New York, Space NK, Bloomingdale's,Saks Fifth Avenue, Dermstore, Harrods, Skin Store, QVC, Beauty Expert (UK) and Look Fantastic (US & CA). Reviewed here): This is, without question, one of my most reached for serums because it delivers noticeable results. Conceived to rejuvenate aging skin, this serum, which features plant based stem cells, promotes skin cell turnover without drying the skin, and it simultaneously reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Additionally, Algae extract, which boosts collagen production, helps to tighten and lift that has started to become slack. Hyaluronic Acid hydrates the skin and plumps fine lines, while Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice soothes irritated and inflamed skin. The result is ultra-hydrated skin with vastly improved moisture retention, with overall improved skin tone, noticeably lifted skin, and the diminishment in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Furthermore, I noted that my skin was far more radiant, soft and supple.

Having used Hair La Vie's Revive Deep Conditioning Mask (Reviewed here) with great success, I was thrilled to test out Hair La Vie Revitalize Shampoo and Restore Conditioner. This mighty duo thoroughly cleanses, without stripping, and leaves hair soft, silky and hydrated. After only a couple of uses, I noticed a radical reduction in frizz and fly-aways, an increase in manageability, and a lustrous shine. I neither have damaged, nor thinning hair, and therefore cannot speak to its efficacy in this regard, but I am quite impressed by what this par has done for my hair. Stowaway Effortless Eyeliner in Spice ($10.00 for .005 from Stowaway Cosmetics): This tiny eyeliner is absolutely the perfect size for carrying in a makeup bag, and it is such a joy to use. Not only does its diminutive size allow for greater control, and a more precise application, but applies effortlessly without any tugging. It glides across the skin with great ease, it deposits color evenly without skipping, and it sets in about 30 seconds– which gives you ample time to work before it sets. I don't have oily eyelids, but once it set it neither migrated, nor did it smudge. Spice is a wonderful brown shade that isn't too red, as are many brown liners, but if you prefer a black liner it is also available in Jet.

Stowaway Cosmetics Extreme Lash Mascara ($12.00 from Stowaway Cosmetics): This mascara, which is only available in black, defines and lengthens lashes without any smudging or flaking. The brush effectively separates lashes, and it neither clumps nor does t smear. Furthermore, it contains no irritating fragrance, which often makes my eyes itch, and therefore I can wear it all day long without incident.

PRO TIPS: Start from the base of your lash line and shimmy the brush back and forth along your lashes. Try waiting 15 seconds before applying a second coat for more impact.

RIMMEL LONDON remains one of my all-time favorite drugstore lines, and I am such a fan of their products that I often reach for their affordable gems over their luxury department store counterparts. I have put together a collection of some of my favorite RIMMEL LONDON products for the summer season. Whether or not you are new to RIMMEL LONDON, I urge you to take a closer look at this high-quality, high-style line that boasts so many innovative formulas.
RIMMEL LONDON Lasting Finish Primer ($7.99 for 1 oz. from Ulta): If you seek an excellent primer at drugstore prices, then you this is definitely a great choice. It leaves skin so smooth, minimizes the appearance of pores and does an excellent job blurring imperfections. Furthermore, my skin does appear brightened, as RIMMEL suggests. It transforms from white to completely clear once it warms up against the skin. I find that it is quite concentrated, and that only a very small amount is needed for the best results. It really extends the wear-time of my foundation, and even when the weather is warm I can forgo makeup touchups.

It brightens, smoothes out the overall appearance of the skin and mattifies. It also effectively prolongs the wear time of foundation.

NEW RIMMEL LONDON Match Perfection Foundation in 302 Golden Honey ($5.99 for 1 oz.): This foundation, which has an SPF 20, is formulated to provide invisible coverage and visibly perfected skin. It provides a soft focus to blur imperfections, and it leaves skin smooth and hydrated. Golden Honey is a bi too warm and dark for me– therefore I need to test a closer match in order to evaluate the longevity. I will say that it feels wonderful and utterly weightless on the skin.

RIMMEL LONDON Brow This Way Brow Gel ($4.49 each for 0.17 oz. fromUlta): This lightweight brow gel keeps brows in place, adds a definition and fills in brows. I never find that it flakes, but I do find that a lighter hand renders the best results– otherwise it can end up looking artificial.

RIMMEL LONDON Scandaleyes Eye Shadow Stick ($4.49 from Ulta and Walgreens): Rimmel London ScandalEyes Eyeshadow Sticks are waterproof and budge-proof eyeshadow sticks that are gorgeous, long-wearing, and come in a beautiful array of richly saturated hues.
According to RIMMEL, the jumbo applicator, "creates a dramatic look in just one stroke." It can be used as both an eye shadow or an eyeliner, and the creamy application effortlessly glides across the skin depositing color evenly. The ultra creamy formula blends effortlessly and boasts a gorgeous long wearing and fade-proof luminous finish. I get all day wear without smudging, creasing or fading, but I do not have oily eyelids. I wear it without a primer, but if you have particularly oily eyelids you will definitely increase your wear time with a primer. I did not test their 24HR wear claims because I never sleep with makeup on, but I definitely found that the formula was waterproof and smudge-proof. This formula can be used an eyeshadow or eyeliner.

The kohl eyeliner and shadow are very pigmented and long-wearing. Furthermore, they are waterproof, transfer-proof and crease-proof.

RIMMEL LONDON Super Curler 24 Mascara ($5.99 from Ulta): I am very inconsistent in my use of an eyelash curler, and I was pretty surprised to see that it actually lifted my lashes. On me, it offered a slight curl that I would more apply describe as a lift the widened and opened the appearance of my eyes. It also gave me full and voluminous lashes in one coat without clumping.

RIMMEL LONDON Lift Me Up Eye-Widening Volume & Lift Mascara ($8.49 from Ulta, Drugstore.com and Target): The first things that I noticed about this mascara was the light cucumber scent and the fantastic hourglass shaped brush. The formula is enriched with Argan Oil to condition the lashes, and it feels lightweight on the lashes. I neither experienced clumping, nor did I experience any flaking.

The dual impact brush captures lashes, and removes excess mascara to prevent the formation of clumps. I tend to avoid extreme lashes, but I definitely love the length and volume that I am able to achieve in a couple of passes without getting spider lashes.

RIMMEL LONDON Kate Nudes Lipstick in #045 Rose Nude ($5.79-$9.50 each exclusively at Walmart, Walgreens, Target and ASOS): Rimmel London claims that you will get 8 hours of wear out of these lipsticks, but as an avid water and coffee drinker I don't experience that level of longevity. There is also a sheen to these pretty lipsticks that means that there is more transfer to my cup as I sip my water and coffee throughout the day. I will say that the formula feels fantastic and hydrating on my lips, and it boasts excellent pigmentation in a single pass.
These lipsticks have the same fruity scent that Rimmel London Lipsticks are known for, and while I don't find it overpowering– people who prefer fragrance-free lipsticks may want to smell them first to see if it is too much for them.
