Le Couvent des Minimes 3 in 1 Micellar Water: A Rose Revelation! Review

 Press Sample (Affiliate Links)

I love the versatility of Micellar Water, and in my opinion this is one of the greatest beauty discoveries in decades! I tend to use them at night to remove makeup, or to cleanse my skin when I am too tired to do my face washing routine. I also love to use them to refresh the skin after exercising or for a little pick-me-up when the weather is warm.  My new favorite Micellar Water is Le Couvent des Minimes 3 in 1 Micellar Water-- in fact I would go so far as to say that I am utterly obsessed with this product! It has the intoxicating scent of the most lovely roses imaginable. It removes everything, and does so gently and effectively. However, the biggest surprise was seeing and feeling how soft, supple and moisturized it left my skin. Additionally, it also serves as a fantastic alcohol-free toner that can be used in conjunction with one's regular skincare routine, and I find myself reaching for it in this capacity on a daily basis.

According to Le Couvent des Minimes, their 3 in 1 Micellar Water is recommended for those looking for a gentle skincare product with multiple benefits.

Features:
  • Removes make-up from the face, lips and eyes
  • Cleanses the face, lips and eyes
  • Tones the skin
  • Alcohol-free and soap-free formula.
  • Damascena Rose Floral Water refreshes and softens
  • Centifolia Rose Absolute Essence tones.
  • Wild Rose Berry Polyphenol protects against free radicals and restores radiance
  • No rinsing required
  • Perfumed with Rose absolute essence
You can use it alone for its 3-in-1 action, or to complement the Gentle Cleansing Milk or Rinse-off Cleansing Cream as a toner. It provides an immediate sensation of freshness and leaves the skin delicately scented. The skin is left soft and clear while the complexion is fresh and luminous. You can also use it solely as a toner after cleansing and removing makeup from the skin.

Apply with a cotton pad to remove make-up and cleanse the face, lips and eyes. Reapply until the cotton pad comes away clean. Gently dry.

Radical Skincare Peptide Infused Antioxidant Serum Review

Press Sample (Affiliate Links)

If you are a longtime reader of this blog, then you already know that I am madly in love with Radical Skincare. Radical is one of those rare lines that really and truly resonates with my skin, and the products are so extraordinary that I cannot help but effusively gush over these beautifully crafted products. I have written about the company and their products extensively (click here to see my many reviews), but to learn more about the Radical Skincare story and their philosophy read here and here.

Their potent ingredients coupled with their use of cutting edge proprietary technology means that they create products of the highest quality and efficacy. When I first began using the line I was quite shocked not only by how well the products worked, but frankly by how each one of them exceeded both my expectations and their claims. I have been using their Peptide Infused Antioxidant Serum for more than four months, and have to say that I can't imagine life without it.

According to Radical their Skincare Peptide Infused Antioxidant Serum is a,

...powerhouse anti-wrinkle serum that shields against the free radicals responsible for skin aging. The ingredients have been shown to increase collagen and elasticity in weeks.

Radical Skincare Peptide Infused Antioxidant Serum Benefits:
  • Peptide ingredients increase collagen production
  • Creates an instant healthy glow
  • Berry bronze serum reflects the natural antioxidant power
  • Antioxidants are the best defense against free radical damage and aging.
  • The strongest antioxidants are found in nature’s dark night shade fruits like resveratrol, coffee berry, acai, grapeseed, red wine extract, pomegranate, and cranberry to name a few.
  • Multiple antioxidants are required to fight the numerous types of free radicals. Using one or two antioxidants is simply not enough.
Furthermore, Radical developed a proprietary technology that markedly increases the efficacy of their products:

Trylacel Technology: Antioxidants are the best defense against free radical damage and aging. The strongest antioxidants are found in nature’s dark night shade fruits like resveratrol, coffee berry, acai, grapeseed, red wine extract, pomegranate, and cranberry to name a few. Multiple antioxidants are required to fight the numerous types of free radicals. Using one or two antioxidants is simply not enough.

Trylacel™ a radical breakthrough in suspension technology, keeps the antioxidant potency and performance in the cream to deliver maximum benefits and results quickly. By combining and encapsulating maximum levels of powerful antioxidants, clinically proven reparative and soothing agents in a bi-lipid membrane.

When antioxidants are combined with reparative ingredients in a cream they break down and lose their power, rendering them ineffective to protect your skin from this free radical assault and therefore daily deterioration continues aging your skin. Until now.

My experience: Other than when I am testing out other products for review, I use Radical Skincare Peptide Infused Antioxidant Serum day and night over whatever luxury face oil that I am using at the time. I let my oil sink in and then immediately apply this delectable serum. It sinks in instantaneously and leaves my skin deliriously hydrated, soft, supple, plumped and glowing. N.B. I have tried it many times without a face oil to make sure that I was actually getting the luminous glow from this serum, and the results are unmistakable. Furthermore, my skin has a pronounced clarity and luminosity that is further enhanced by a remarkably smooth texture. It is a very potent antioxidant rich anti-aging serum that not only protects the skin, but also moisturizes and imparts an unmistakable ethereal glow. The richly packed peptides increase collagen production and the antioxidants work overtime protecting the skin against the damaging effects of free radicals. My skin looks and feels amazing because of this serum, and the result is always younger looking healthy skin. The Trylacel suspension technology maintains maximum potency of the antioxidants, and that makes Radical Skincare products more effective than anything else that I have tried. I am a huge proponent of anti-aging serums, but this one is unlike anything else that I have ever tried. Liz and Rachel Edlich are true visionaries, and their products reflect their innovative approach and the resultant trail-blazing products remain radically different from everything else on the market.
Radical selected the following active ingredients for their special proven properties:

Green Coffee: "The hydroxyl radical is an extremely reactive free radical formed in biological systems and has been implicated as a highly damaging species in free radicals pathology, capable of damaging almost every molecule found in living cells. This radical has the capacity to conjugate with nucleotides in DNA and cause strand breakage, having far reaching implications leading ultimately to carcinogenesis, mutagenesis and cytotoxicity. Green Coffee is a good scavenger of active oxygen species, and a very strong antioxidant."

Sodium Hyaluronate: "Is the key water maintaining substances in human skin. Bad living environment and aging can cause the decrease of HA content in skin, and as a result the water maintaining ability of the skin is weakened and the skin looks dry and rough. Sodium Hyaluronate has high moisturizing and water content reguating function and its solution has high viscoelasticity and lubricity. When HA solution is applied on the surface of skin, it can form an air permeable layer and keep the skin moist and smooth. As a result, it plays a role of wrinkle removing, look improving and health protecting. Hylasome- Delivery system for water and a free radical scavenger. It is highly moisturizing, slow delivery of water, safe and more effective than HA (hyaluronic acid). Has 5 times the water binding capacity of hyaluronic acid."

Resveratrol: "A potent antioxidant has been shown in numerous scientific studies by prestigous organizations such as Harvard University, and many other medical schools and researchers to increase the rest phase of cell division. This is the phase during which DNA repair takes place. Resveratrol also activates other metabolic and biological pathways and processes which induce DNA repair and destroy damaged or abberant cells. These antioxidants fight the free radicals that cause oxidative stress damage to the skin."

Green Tea: "The outcome of the several experimental studies suggests that green tea posses anti-inflammatory and anticarcinogenic potential, which can be exploited against a variety of skin disorders."

Tripeptides: "Tripeptide has become an increasingly important ingredient in recent years and proving to be the ingredient of choice for anti-aging products. A Tripeptide belongs to the peptide family of amino acids and is basically a specialized molecule and a synthetic peptide containing three amino acid residues joined by peptide bonds. Tripeptides help improve skin condition as well as giving it a smoother appearance and specifically target skin cell renewal through the regeneration of collagen."

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Caprylic / Capric Triglyceride, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Fruit Extract, Glycerin, Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Leaf / Seed Extract, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Ceteareth-20, Dimethicone, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Extract, Propylene Glycol, Quercetin, Leuconostoc / Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Tripeptide-10 Citrulline, Tripeptide-1, Phenoxyethanol, Pseudoalteromonas Ferment Extract, Ethoxydiglycol, Pentylene Glycol, Sodium Pca, Urea, Triethanolamine, Allantoin, Hydrolyzed Elastin, Soluble Collagen, Carbomer, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate / Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Xanthan Gum, Hydrolyzed Wheat Extract, Parfum (Fragrance), Squalane, Hydrolyzed Soy Extract, Tetrasodium Edta, Ethylhexylglycerin, Trehalose, Polyquaternium-51, Tocopheryl Acetate, Potassium Sorbate, Polysorbate 60, Sodium Hyaluronate, Caprylyl Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Benzoate, Lecithin, Camellia Sinensis Leaf, Ascorbic Acid, Sorbitan Isostearate, Benzyl Salicylate, Butylphenyl Methylpropionate, Hexyl Cinnamal, Hydroxycitronellal, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Limonene, Linalool.
Overall assessment: Truly as good as it gets! I simply cannot wait to try the new Radical Multi Brightening Serum (read about it here), their soon to be released Skin Perfecting Screen SPF 30 (read about it here), and their Youth Infusion Serum (read about it here). I'm utterly smitten with Radical Skincare, and applaud the Edlich sisters for their visionary thinking and radically different approach to skincare! Bravo!

Essence Cosmetics: Gorgeous Quality Products at Very Affordable Prices! Swatches & Reviews

Press Sample (Affiliate Links)

In the last couple of weeks I have received an unprecedented number of emails from loyal readers in college who specifically asked for high quality makeup recommendations at drugstore prices because they love makeup but have serious budgetary restrictions. Therefore, I decided to do a mega-post featuring Essence Cosmetics since the quality is fantastic and the line offers exemplary budget-friendly choices.
1) All in One Bronzing Highlighter (Brunettes. Sun Glow) ($4.49 at Ulta): "Summer all year round! All in one: as a bronzer and a highlighter united in one Essence product, the all-in-one bronzing highlighter creates either gorgeous shimmer effects or a subtly tanned finish on your face and neckline - depending on the look you're going for. And it can even be used as eyeshadow! Several bronzing and highlighting shades are perfectly aligned to suit the skin tone of blondes and brunettes. The soft powder texture with a 3d embossment ensures a fresh summer complexion, even in the fall and wintertime!"

This is a fantastic multitasking product that can be used on the face, eyes and body! It is finely milled with a soft and silky consistency that effortlessly glides across the skin. It is a steal of a deal for the price, and you don't sacrifice a bit of quality. It is intended for brunettes and those with darker skin tones, but I think that it will appeal to a much larger range of skin tones than that.

Ingredients: Talc, Mica, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Magnesium Stearate, Bis-Diglycerylpolyacyladipate-1, Caprylyl Glycol, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Hexylene Glycol, Tin Oxide, Phenoxyethanol, Parfum (Fragrance), Coumarin, May Contain: Ci 19140 (Yellow 5), Ci 77491, Ci 77492, Ci 77499 (Iron Oxides), Ci 75470 (Carmine), Ci 77891 (Titanium Dioxide).

2) Metal Glam Eyeshadow in Frosted Apple (03), Coffee to Glow (02) and Jewel up the Ocean (01)($2.99 each at Ulta): "Metal meets glam from Essence Cosmetics! Metallic and shimmering effects on your eyes are the ultimate trend! The especially soft texture with extremely high coverage and metallic results creates expressive eye make-up guaranteed to be eye-catching! The range of colors is huge and sure to make every beauty's heart beat faster!"

The Metal Glam Eyeshadows are finely milled creamy dreamy shadows that have lovely pigmentation. The glittery surface, while an overspray, quickly reveals the glimmering shadows beneath. Each shade that I tried glides across the lids effortlessly, and they all offer buildable coverage. It will comes as no shock to you that my favorite is Coffee to Glow because it is a gorgeous creamy taupe, and trust me when I tell you that I will be hitting the pan on this beauty!

3) Stays No Matter What Eye Pencil & Shadow in Whipped White Frosting (07) and Gorgeous Grey (04) ($2.99 each at Ulta): "The soft, waterproof and extremely long-lasting texture lasts up to 16 hours and can be used as an eyeliner pencil and as an eyeshadow. The jumbo eye pencil & shadow is accurate, easy to apply and won't smudge. Available in six stays no matter what colors."

These beautiful and versatile two-in-one eye pencil/ eye shadows are creamy and buildable, but once they set they are utterly budge proof! They offer gorgeous saturation and buildable opacity with the precision of an eye pencil and the coverage of an eyeshadow! These are just wonderful!

4) Crystal Eyeliner in Twinkly Starlight (01) and Gold Rush (03) ($2.99 each at Ulta): "Sparkling moments, the long-lasting, gel-based texture of the crystal eyeliner from Essence with a high pigmentation creates amazing and luxurious glittering eyeliner styles! Extra tip: If you're going for amazing wow-highlights, the eyeliner can be used as a topping on your lashes, too! The brush applicator guarantees an accurate application. Available in a cool clubbing packaging."

While these sparkling glittery eyeliners are hardly office appropriate, they are most definitely party-ready! They are lots of fun to wear, and can turn the ordinary into the festive with a mere flick of the wrist! Makeup should be fun, and these are definitely a blast to play with!

5) Lash Mania Reload False Lash Mascara ($4.99 at Ulta): "Lashes with star appeal! The innovative elastomer brush by Essence with a star-shaped arrangement of blades accurately grips your lashes to give them a push-up effect. The result: lashes with extreme volume and a dramatic false-lash look. Secret tip: the LASH mania reloaded mascara offers perfect separation and can therefore also be used as a mascara topper. Lash Mania gives lashes serious volume with no effort at all. This is definitely a great alternative to false-lashes, and the look can be achieved in a fraction of the time!

Softsoap Liquid Hand Soap Décor Collection in Peony & Plum, Wild Basil & Lime and Orchid Petals & Mint Water Review

     Press Sample (Affiliate Links)

I have previously alluded to my obsession with lovely smelling liquid hand soaps that leave skin soft, cleansed, and with a light scent that lingers for a few minutes. I'm a fan of transforming ordinary events such as washing the hands or taking a shower into a lovely sensory experience rather than one that is mundane and infinitely forgettable. For me, lovely smells and silky soft textures are always a way of awakening the senses and delighting the spirit.

Therefore with this in mind, I long ago set out to replace all of my unscented and nondescript hand soaps with those that boasted intoxicating scents that transformed something as ordinary as hand washing into a pleasant aromatic experience.

I probably couldn't even begin to calculate how many bottles of Softsoap Liquid Hand Soap that I have used over the years, but what I can tell you is that none of them were as amazing as the scents that they created for their new Décor Collection. Peony & Plum, Wild Basil & Lime and Orchid Petals & Mint Water are inspiring scents that smell delicious and leave the skin soft and smooth. Each scent combines an interesting commingling of fragrances that are beautifully unexpected, and so very pleasant to use.

    According to Softsoap,

Treat yourself to an indulgent hand washing experience, with the enticing scents of Peony & Plum, Orchid Petals & Mint Water, and Wild Basil & Lime in a package you are proud to display. Collect all three exquisite fragrances to beautify every sink in your home starting February 2014.
Overall assessment: Softsoap Liquid Hand Soap Décor Collection in Peony & Plum, Wild Basil & Lime and Orchid Petals & Mint Water are a fabulous find at an affordable price. These are definitely worth trying if you love fabulous smelling hand soaps. These are definitely worth picking up next time you need to stock up on hand soaps!

Suggested Retail Price: $2.49 (10fl oz). Available at Target, Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid and large retailers. (Affiliate Links).

    Feline Friday

I have what is arguably the ugliest kitty condo (actually two side-by-side) in my at-home office. I cringe each time I look at this monolithic monstrosity-- not only because it is inherently ugly, but because my savage feline friends continually modify its appearance by breaking it one bit at a time. You will note that the little landing upon which Maximus is lounging is now tethered to a bracket on the wall because the savages have nearly broken that perch as well. I should also mention that said bracket supports one end of a 7 foot long shelf that I placed over the 6 foot span French doors so that the savages could have a high perch from which to survey their kingdom. Yet, I can't get rid of this piece of feline furniture because it is so beloved by my furry friends. It is placed in front of the French doors that lead to the backyard, and the beasts attentively watch the ravens and squirrels as they routinely hold court on the back patio in order to taunt them. Aside from my desire to generally keep these babies happy my motivation for keeping this massive kitty meeting hall is to make my desk a less desirable piece of real estate because in the war of the wills I tend not to be the victor, in part because I am clearly outnumbered.
You will recall this photo of Oliver to illustrate my point. His eyes are dilated and his feet are poised on my laptop, and there need be little doubt that he's willing to do anything necessary to remain precisely where he is. Despite the fact that I have little chance of winning this particular battle-- that ugly condo does allow me to sneak in moments of unobstructed work space, and for this I am eternally grateful.

Empties Post Volume XX: April 2014 Edition

April ended up being a vigorous month for the production of Empties. Honestly, I didn't consciously set out to use up so many products-- and in fact would go so far as to say that I didn't give it much thought. Yet somehow I managed to use up lots and lots of things that were full-size, deluxe samples, regular samples, and sample packets. I was so busy with work that I didn't give much thought to what was getting close to empty, or the fact that traveling with sample packets was going to result in lots of Empties. I also didn't spend any time looking at the growing pile of empty products in the bag on my closet floor to realize that I was actually doing a pretty good job of using things up this month!

Skin Within Purify Cleanse + Foaming Cleanser: This was a half-used hand-me-down from my sister when she was purging stuff before she moved. I finished it up in the shower, and thought that it was a really nice cleanser. It cleaned my skin beautifully without any stripping whatsoever.

Wen Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner (reviewed here): I really loved this shampoo, and will probably eventually buy another one. However, at this point I am swimming in shampoos and conditioners so won't be buying any until I have used up a few in my current rotation. I do find that I have to rotate the Wen shampoos with others, otherwise it does tend to build up over time.

Caress Emerald Rush Body Wash (reviewed here): This is one yummy smelling gardenia and white tea scented body wash. It makes the shower, and the bathroom for that matter, smell delectable. I didn't use an entire bottle in less than a month, as you will note that my review was posted on April 9th, but instead an over-zealous shipping company tossed it on my porch making all of the bottles leak everywhere. I managed to salvage some, but thankfully the kind people at Caress sent me a new box of goodies. I will definitely pick more of these body washes up once I use up what I have.

Crest 3D White Strips Glamorous White: This did a great job removing coffee and tea stains from my teeth, and I will definitely repurchase them because I have no intention to stop drinking coffee or tea!

Bodycology Exfoliating Sugar Scrub in Enchanted Forest (reviewed here): This was a very effective and modestly priced body exfoliator that left my skin ridiculously soft, and didn't leave a oil slick on the bottom of my shower.

Rare Elements Pure Shampoo: This is a lovely shampoo that is free of sulfates, silicones, parabens and synthetic fragrances. I loved how nice my hair felt after using it, and I found it kind and gentle on my naturally curly hair.

Trader Joe's Face and Body SPF 30: This is a good staple to have on hand. I always left this bottle on a shelf near the back door as a reminder to use it, and I did!

Sponge Ladi Avokanto (reviewed here): I still love this lovely face oil! It sinks in nicely-- especially when warmed up between the hands and applied to warm damp skin-- and it leaves behind a lovely glow! I just opened another bottle!

Sunday Riley Start Over Eye Cream (reviewed here): This eye cream is very effective at eliminating under eye puffiness, but if your eyes are sensitive you will probably want to try out a sample packet first. It makes the eyes sting a bit and then they water for a while, but once that is over the puffiness is quite diminished. Some people find the stinging and watering to be too much for them, while others do not. Therefore, you might want to try it before you buy it. It is a very lightweight eye cream, and won't provide enough moisture for many people, but if you have a chronically puffy under eye area and don't need a rich eye cream-- then you might really love this one.
Of the samples shown above, I only have the Organic Pharmacy Purifying Seaweed Clay Mask (review forthcoming) and the Rituals Zensation Organic Rice Milk & Cherry Blossom Foaming Shower Gel Sensation (review forthcoming) in full sizes. Both are quite lovely, and I imagine that I will continue to use them for some time to come. Shannon's Soaps Cocoa Butter Love (reviewed here) is a delicious smelling and amazingly moisturizing thick and rich cream that is just scrumptious! I also have to note that the Serge Normant Meta Velour Conditioner was quite lovely, and that it's definitely on my list of future hair product purchases. It left my hair soft and manageable without weighing it down at all!
I'm actually rather shocked that I used up a staggering 70 sample packets-- I had to count a few times to make sure that the number was correct, and it is! I was able to achieve this feat because I used sample packets while traveling in April, and in some cases I used lotion and cream packets intended for the face on my hands and body instead. Single packets don't generally provide enough product to determine whether or not it will be a good fit because you can't use it long enough to see whether or not your skin will react adversely, or thrive. Thus unless I have many packets of a particular product, I tend not to use those intended for the face on my face. The many TATCHA products were used during my travels, and in many cases there were enough duplicates that I used them on my face with great results. I did have a few packets of their new Indigo line, and have to say that I am quite impressed by it.

Of the packets shown, I only have full sized versions of:

Radical Skincare Age Defying Exfoliating Pads (reviewed here): This is an ingenious product, and so highly effective. The pads themselves boast two different textures: one side boasts large raised concentric circles that offer added abrasion while the other side is smooth. This allows for an enhanced level of exfoliation-- it's a bit like a gentle version of coarse grit and fine grit sandpaper. It is a kind and gentle exfoliator loaded with anti-aging properties. I love this product!

Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peel Extra Strength (discussed here): This two part peel is a fantastic maintenance program between professional peels, but also is highly effective if you never seek out professional peels. I am very impressed by the efficacy of this product, but the Alpha Beta Peel Extra Strength will not be suitable for sensitive skin. They also offer the Alpha Beta Original Formula which is a far more gentle variant.

TATCHA Polished Classic Rice Enzyme Powder (reviewed here): This powder cleanser leaves skin indescribably soft and supple. It cleans without stripping, and I'm pretty well convinced that it contains magical fairy dust because it's hard to believe that a cleanser could ever leave skin that soft! It comes in three different formulas: Classic (normal to combination skin), Gentle (sensitive skin) and Deep (oily skin).

TATCHA Pure One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil (reviewed here): An amazing cleansing oil that can be used to pre-cleanse or as a cleanser by itself. It effectively removes every trace of makeup!

Aesop Damascan Rose Facial Treatment (review forthcoming, but shown here): I fell so in love with this luxury face oil after using up a few sample packets that I knew almost immediately that I had to have it. While it is supposed to be for drier skin types, I have found that it does an outstanding job with my decidedly combination skin.

NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer (reviewed here): I have been reaching for this tinted moisturizer with greater frequency these days because the weather has been heating up here in LA. I love the light to medium buildable coverage and the lovely natural effect. I imagine that I will be reaching for this very often during the summer months.
What did you finish, toss, return, or give away in April?

FutureDerm Vitamin CE Eye Cream 10.0 Review

     Press Sample (Unaffiliated Links)

FutureDerm has considerably expanded their range of products since I reviewed their fantastic Time Release Retinol 0.50 last year, and I can say without hesitation that their Vitamin CE Eye Cream 10.0  is every bit as impressive as was their first foray into the realm of high quality skincare.
According to FutureDerm, their Vitamin CE Eye Cream 10.0 is designed to be the best:

It accomplishes a heretofore impossible feat — delivering 10% vitamin C (as L-ascorbic acid) and 1% vitamin E to the eye area without irritating most skin types. The creamy, hydrating formula treats undereye wrinkles, creases, and dark circles in as few as 10 days. For daytime and/or nighttime use.

Vitamin C has been clinically proven in independent research to brighten skin, alleviate the appearance of dark circles and age spots, and even skin tone with regular use over time. The undereye area is no exception, particularly in dark circles that are caused by hyperpigmentation (rather than, say, blood pooling in the area).

However, it is difficult to deliver 10% vitamin C as L-ascorbic acid + 1% vitamin E to the eye area without running the risk of irritation — until now. FutureDerm CE Eye Cream 10.0 is a creamy, hydrating formula that will not irritate most skin types. It is designed for the undereye area. Results in as little as 10 days. For daytime and/or nighttime use.

FutureDerm products are tested for safety and efficacy, and are physician-approved. Our ingredients are safe in the concentrations used in each of our products, even with typical repeated use over time. As with any product, please reserve for external use only. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes. For best results, use with a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily.

FutureDerm answered the 10 most commonly asked questions about their Vitamin CE Eye Cream here, and I highly recommend reading it, if you are interested in learning even more about this fantastic eye cream.

Ingredients: Ascorbic Acid (antioxidant), Dimethicone, Bis Vinyl Dimethicone/ Dimethicone Copolymer (slip agent), Cyclomethicone, Dimethicone Crosspolymer-3 (slip agent), Aluminum Starch, Octenylsuccinate (emulsifier), Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil (fatty acid), Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil (antioxidant), Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides (hydrator), Hydroxypropyl Bispalmitamide MEA (preservative), Tocopherol Acetate (antioxidant), Fragrance (needed, trust us).

My experience: One of the very first things that I noted after I used FutureDerm Vitamin C Eye Cream  for a few days was an unmistakable brightening and tightening of my under eye area. My skin quickly became brighter and more luminous with a pronounced clarity. My delicate eye area is left very soft, smooth, and taut each time that I use it-- and this combination of textural differences is very obvious both at a distance and close-up.  The high concentration of Vitamin C is responsible for the fantastic brightening effects, but fear not it did not irritate the skin in my delicate eye area.

The cream is light and smooth, and sinks in and gets right to work immediately. The silicones lend the cream a lovely velvety texture and the perfect amount of slip while the Vitamin E, Avocado and Grape Seed Oils deeply moisturize the delicate eye are. This antioxidant rich formula assures the user that the anti-aging benefits are real and tangible, and with prolonged use one will definitely see a reduction of fine lines and wrinkles. Furthermore, the brightening effects of Vitamin CE Eye Cream has radically lightened my dark circles. FutureDerm suggests that after two months of daily use that skin will, "appear brighter, dark circles due to hyperpigmentation/melanin production will be diminished, and the skin may feel firmer. It really, truly does work." I can attest to the veracity this claim, and I haven't even used it for two months yet!

The fabulous texture also serves as a wonderful base for under-eye concealer, feeling a bit like a high quality primer rather than a typical eye cream. I honestly can't think of anything that this eye cream doesn't do exceedingly well. I'm utterly thrilled by the results, and am thrilled to have discovered this eye cream that boast great efficacy, ease of use, and a fantastic tactile experience. In short, this is a fantastic eye cream all the way around!
Overall assessment: What a fantastic eye cream! It brightens, tightens, moisturizes, nourishes, reduces the appearance of dark circles, and is an antioxidant rich anti-aging powerhouse! Well done, FutureDerm, well done!
