I have normal/combination skin, and have always gravitated toward cleansers that lather or foam, but this is so effective and gentle that it is now part of my regular skincare routine. Votary Radiance Reveal Mask ($78.00 for 1.7 oz Retail value): I have collected quite a few of Votary's wonderful products, and this is unquestionably one of my very favorite brands. This wonderful exfoliating mask, which is composed of an effective paring of Mandelic Acid and Lactic Acid, removes dead skin cells to reveal smooth and luminous skin. Over time, it evens and fades hyperpigmentation and it immediately leaves skin soft, smooth, supple, beautifully radiant, and with a pronounced clarity. It has neither dried out my skin, nor caused it to flake and peel. It contains no fragrance and it such a pleasure to use.

The Radiance Reveal Mask is a highly active resurfacing mask with a powerhouse duo of mandelic acid and lactic acid. Known for their ability to exfoliate skin evenly, these AHA acids work beautifully together to reveal your very best skin.

Directions: Smooth into face and neck, taking care to avoid the eye area. Leave on for 5-15 minutes then remove with a damp face cloth. Use twice a week, or as needed. Some tingling may be experienced and is normal. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Retail value): This is the first time that I have tried Arcana skincare products, and I am elated by the quality, efficacy and the joy I experience when I use their products. This delectable hydrating serum, which is used before their lovely face oil, has a light and milky appearance and a gel-like consistency that melts into the skin in the most satisfying way. It leaves behind no residue and immediately offers extraordinary hydration. Additionally, this glorious serum softens the appearance of fine lines, helps increase collagen synthesis, and it leaves skin soft and smooth. It has a wonderful light quasi fruity-floral aroma that is a treat to the senses.

A next-generation hydrating serum, Glasswing quickly replenishes parched skin and strengthens the lipid barrier without leaving any residue. Hyaluronic acid and Tremella mushroom jelly bind water to the skin’s surface while a 5% ceramide complex prevents moisture loss and restores the skin’s lipid barrier. Arcana Nine Herbs Charm Clarifying Face Oil ($45.00 for 15ml. Retail value): That I am obsessed with luxury face oils is rather obvious at this point, and I have become quite picky about them over the years. I have a penchant for highly effective oils with gorgeous textures and a sublime tactile experience, and this emerald jewel satisfies all of my requirements. Based upon a medieval recipe to draw out poison and toxins, this brilliant oil is a treat to the skin and senses. It boasts anti-inflammatory properties that calm irritated skin, soften the appearance of scars and helps prevent breakouts. It has an intoxicating herbal aroma that is a wonderful treat to the senses. This pairs perfectly with Arcana Galsswing Immersive Ceramide Milk, and is a perfect way to treat the skin after using Votary's Radiance Reveal Mask.

The Nine Herbs Charm is medieval recipe for drawing out poison and toxins, composed of nine herbs and an incantation to be performed while making the charm. The velvety texture is utterly sublime, and it really is a cocooning treatment as Votary asserts! It is formulated to rejuvenate, hydrate and brighten the skin as you sleep, and it also soothes and heals. Additionally, it helps to fade hyperpigmentation, and it softens the appearance of fine lines while deeply hydrating parched skin. While it is an overnight mask, it can also be used as a day moisturizer as well.

Votary Brightening Hyaluronic Serum (Full size, $118.00 value): This antioxidant-rich water-based serum is lightweight, fast absorbing and just heavenly. It is hard to believe that 2020 came to an end, and given the inherent stress associated with just about everything that happened in 2020, I think that it is safe to say that 2021 is quite welcome! One of the joys I had was testing out some new, or new-to-me, face oils. I narrowed it down to the Top 5 in 2020, and without question have determined that the number 1 beauty oil of 2020 is Aftelier Perfumes Vetiver & Frankincense Face Elixir. I included two affordable picks that were just too good not to include, and two face oils from Votary that are astonishing in their efficacy.

I perpetually extol the virtues of Mandy Aftel's handmade Face Elixirs, and with each new addition to her perfectly articulated and curated collection she showcases the extent to which a boundless creative imagination and unmitigated brilliance can do what no one else can do. Aftelier Perfumes Vetiver & Frankincense Face Elixir ($70.00 for 10ml and $7.00 for 1 ml from Aftelier Perfumes) is the most unexpected, sophisticated, refined and intoxicatingly beautiful permutation of Vetiver and Frankincense that could only have been imagined by Mandy. Her erudition is felt in the way in which her alchemical mastery pairs unexpected aromatic juxtapositions, and this new elixir perfectly underscores this point.

Mandy's brilliance is, in part, a function of this very ability to unite disparate elements into a singular unified heavenly elixir that is unprecedented in the vast sea of face oils. This Vitamin A derived retinol oil is lightweight, fast absorbing, and it has the lovely light aroma informed by the Rosehip Seed Oil. This oil gently exfoliates dead skin cells, softens the appearance of fine lines, helps fade hyperpigmentation, and deeply moisturizes the skin. Skin is left soft, smooth, supple and luminous. This product is vegan and cruelty-free.
