Hi Beautiful You Lash Perfecting Mascara is a vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free and paraben-free mascara, that that has what is called a a "custom-engineered Lash Finder Brush™" that "finds lashes you didn't know you had."
The smudge-proof formula dries quickly, is buildable and it doesn't flake. It is formulated to prime, lengthen and define lashes in a single coat. My sensitive eyes are not in the least bit irritated by either the Magic Black or Magic Brown shades, and they both stay put until I remove my makeup in the evening. This formula makes my lashes appear so full without looking fake and overdone. For more drama, I select the black shade and for a softer look, I select the brown shade. However, my lashes are naturally a black/brown, and therefore I tend to reach for the black mascara more often.
According to the Hi Beautiful You founder, Richard Anderson,
While HBY Cult Favorite Lash Perfecting Mascara in Magic Black is perfect for a bold, more glam look, If you prefer a more natural look, Magic Brown is perfect for YOU!
It's a true glossy brown. It works on all lashes from blonde to black and perfect for anyone seeking a softer, more natural; daytime look. MAGIC BROWN enhances your natural eye color and more flattering on mature eyes then the stark contrast of black mascara, which can emphasize fine lines.
Trust me, it's worth having both Magic Black and Magic Brown at your fingertips depending on YOU or your mood! Enjoy!
Directions: Use the custom engineered Lash Finder Brush™ to simply wiggle, wiggle, build!
TIP: LASH EXTENSION FRIENDLY. Lash Perfecting Mascara is a gel-based, oil-free, and fiber-free formula that won't weaken the lash extension bonds or cause them to fall out prematurely. The mascara's water-resistant, quick-drying formula is designed to glide on and define lashes without clumps, letting you build a look from natural to glam! Some mascaras contain fibers that can be heavy and lead to clumping on extensions, making them look messy and potentially causing damage. This mascara is fiber-free, which helps keep your extensions looking clean and natural. NO LUMPS, NO CLUMPS, NO SMUDGES, NO JOKE!

I had to stop using my lash serum as it was contributing to my dry eye syndrome. I need to find one that doesn't have prostaglandins in it. So, I definitely need a mascara that defines my lashes without making them all spidery! I had some Lancome Hypnose that is usually a winner, but it got very clumpy right away. I will have to try this when I'm done with the Tarte mascara I just opened. Thanks for the review!

Hi Marsha, This mascara definitely doesn't make spider lashes– though I suppose you could add a lot for that effect! I don't find that this one clumps, but I also apply very little. I like slight enhancement, rather than obviously wearing lots of mascara. It's interesting that your lash serum contributed to your dry eye serum, but it's good you realized that the serum was part of the problem!
