Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil | Review

Press Sample (Affiliate Links)

Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil is an ultra-lightweight, fast absorbing antioxidant-rich face oil that is very hydrating and nourishing. It effectively plumps skin, softens the appearance of fine lines, it leaves skin soft and silky smooth, and it gives skin a gorgeous dewy glow. It has a very pleasant, and light, floral/herbal aroma that creates a lovely tactile and aromatic experience, and this aspect truly makes its use a considerable pleasure. I love adding a few drops of this beauty oil to my foundations and tinted moisturizers to add moisture and a dewy finish. This oil offers my normal/combination skin enough moisture that I can use it without an additional moisturizer during the warmer months.

According to Dermalogica,

This feather-light treatment oil rapidly absorbs to reinforce the skin’s protective barrier. Wear it alone or layered under foundation for all-day dewy skin. Next-generation formula takes a three-phase approach to replenishing protective lipids that are depleted by aging and environmental stress. First, phytoactives from Camellia and Tamanu oils help restore the skin’s natural barrier. Then, an essential lipid blend that includes Orchid Flower and Chia Seed Oil smoothes visible lines and locks in critical moisture. Finally, Sunflower, Rice Bran and Rosemary Extracts create a luminous antioxidant shield against free radical damage. Ideal for daily use on normal to dry skin.
Claims:
  • Strengthens the skin's natural barrier.
  • Hydrates to help smooth the appearance of fine lines.
  • Shields skin against free radical damage.
Directions: After cleansing, press 4-6 drops into skin. Hold bottle upside down for 2-3 seconds to initiate product flow. For show-stopping luminosity, apply 4-6 drops to a make-up sponge and blend it over your foundation.

  2. Dermalogica has some fabulous products and this one sounds like it's in that category. I haven't been using much in the way of facial oils lately and need to get back into it.
