Who is this made for: All skin types, including skin exposed to urban stress, pollution, harsh, dry climates, sun damage and is recommended for hormonal, inflamed, mature, unbalanced and sensitive skin.
I have used African Botanics Fleurs d’Afrique Intensive Recovery Oil twice daily for about 6 weeks, and I have noticed a remarkable shift in the quality and overall appearance of my complexion. Truth be told, I knew it was a very special facial oil after my first use, but the length of time that I have used this is phenomenal oil is proof positive that this is, indeed, no ordinary face oil.
I simply apply a few drops to my freshly washed skin, that is still warm and slightly damp, and gently press in and release the oil into my face, neck and décolletage, as recommended. Skin is immediately left with a gorgeous, pronounced luminosity and an ethereal glow. As previously noted, African Botanics Fleurs d’Afrique Intensive Recovery Oil sinks in immediately, but it neither leaves behind a greasy film, nor does it require a long wait before finishing up the skincare routine or applying makeup.
My skin is notably different in that the overall texture is more even in tone and the small areas of light hyperpigmentation have noticeably faded. My fine lines are softened and my skin appears more taut and lifted. Furthermore, it effectively encourages skin cell-turnover to eliminate dull and dry dead skin cells in order to reveal luminous fresh skin.
This oil balances skin, and has regulated my active T-zone while simultaneously fighting redness and inflammation during my monthly hormonal cycle. I also found it remarkable that it healed a hormonal breakout overnight because of its ability to regulate hormonal skin and radically reduce inflammation.
While I do not have particularly enlarged pores, I have noted that mine are now far less noticeable. Additionally, the pores that have always been prone to clogging on my nose and chin no longer appear congested.
African Botanics claims that African Botanics Fleurs d’Afrique Intensive Recovery Oil will leave skin, "luminous, more youthful with increased firmness, elasticity and clarity" and I can attest to the veracity of this statement. This lovely oil leaves skin soft, supple, hydrated and luminous unlike anything else that I have tried.

Ehh, I think my comment disappeared :-( Meh. Anyway, this sounds rrrrreally amazing! I'm itching to try it.ReplyDelete
It is my very favorite oil. They are making sample sized for sale so it will be very easy for people to try before committing to buying the full size bottle!Delete
I need another beauty oil like I need a hole in my head, but this one does sound enticing.ReplyDelete
Oils are so concentrated and can be quite troublesome depending on what is in them and what types of allergies and sensitivities a person has. Even the so-called "all natural" products can have some very harsh results. What is soothing on one person might cause another person's complexion to turn fire engine red, etc. So, it is very nice when a smaller size is offered--especially at a $250 an ounce price point.
I'll definitely give the smaller size of Fleurs d'Afrique a go when it becomes available. I don't mind spending the big bucks on a beauty oil if I love using it and it actually has a positive effect on my skin, but I do like to try it for a few days before I commit. Beauty oils like Sisley Black Rose, Tatcha Camelia, and Rodin Olio Lusso are staples in my skincare arsenal. As you can tell, I'm not adverse to fragrance in my oils and consider it part of the sybaretic experience. Who knows? Perhaps Fleurs d'Afrique will join my luxury beauty oil lineup.
Sorry for the slow response. It was the last week of classes, and I was on campus teaching and holding office hours more than I was at home.
I know what you mean about needing another beauty oil!!!!! This one, however, is quite extraordinary. As you know, I love and use the Sisley Black Rose, TATCHA Camellia and Rodin Olio Lusso, and they are staples in my arsenal as well. African Botanics new oil is a bit different than these for a number of reasons, but one of the key features is that they utilize oil soluble actives to make this antioxidant-rich anti-aging oil especially potent.
Of course it is true that each person's skin reacts differently to any products that they use, and natural ingredients are often harsh and cause reactions in sensitive skin just as do the chemicals used in many skincare products.
I am thrilled that African Botanics created a sample size for this magical elixir because $250.00 is a significant purchase, and it's far better to try before you buy, than to buy the full size product if you really want to experience it before committing to a luxury purchase like this. African Botanics told me that the sample size is now available for sale for $12.00, and one simply has to select the sample on the product page menu. Given that we love the same 3 oils as staples, I suspect that you will likely feel similarly about the lovely Fleurs d'Afrique! :-)
Ordering now! I'm really looking forward to trying this one as it sounds heavenly. 0:-)Delete
I absolutely cannot wait to hear what you think! I imagine that you will get it in no time since they are in Santa Monica, and it's only a few miles from you in TO! Let me know what you think once you get it! :-)Delete
Darn, I was about to order the sample size and then realized I'm at a hotel with an unsecured network. Better wait......ReplyDelete
I would definitely order it, but certainly wait for a secured network!Delete
