According to TATCHA,
This mask combines a proprietary red algae blend with our HADASEI-3™ Bioactive Complex. The silken serum infuses skin with powerful moisture-enriching actives resulting in smoother, more luminous skin in minutes.
The unique coconut-derived biocellulose mask, developed originally to speed healing for burn victims, forms an occlusive layer on the skin that enables 53% deeper penetration vs. paper masks. Ideal for dry and combination skin.
How to use:
Begin with clean, dry skin. Unfold mask and pull tab to peel away one layer of mesh backing. Place mask gel-side down on face and adjust to fit comfortably around eyes, nose, and mouth. Peel away remaining backing so that only the gel layer is left, and smooth mask to skin. Leave on for 15 minutes and enjoy the cooling and gentle tingling sensation of the mask at work. Peel mask off, massage remaining serum into the skin and follow immediately with TATCHA Moisture Rich Silk Cream to seal in the long-lasting moisture. Skin will feel lifted and cool from the intense hydration.
Toward the end of the 15 minutes I massaged the remaining serum into my skin while the mask was still on. I then wrung out the last bits of serum from the mask, discarded the mask itself, and then massaged it into my neck and décolletage. Not only was my skin indescribably luminous, but it was likewise more even-toned, and all of my fine lines were literally eliminated. It plumped up my skin and left it so soft and supple that I could have easily been carded at the grocery store! I kid you not, the effects are that noticeable-- I know that there is no such thing as a real fountain of youth, but TATCHA has gotten about as close to it as one could ever hope to get! Use this mask before any special event, or whenever you want to see your skin at its very best. I am truly astounded by the results. That said, this product is not recommended for anyone who is either sensitive or allergic to coconut. I have one packet left, and am coveting it for my next special event, but I will definitely be buying a 4 pack soon!
FORMULATED WITHOUT: Parabens, Mineral Oil, Synthetic fragrances, Sulfate Detergents, Urea, DEA, TEA or Phthalates.

this sounds like a positively orgasmic experience and would leave one's skin looking the same ;)ReplyDelete
i have to say that i am a bit baffled by these newish european and asian masks that are indeed real cloth masks infused with serum, rather than a product applied by a tube. maybe it is just that i feel as if i look even goofier with them on and my loving husband has no difficulty in teasing me when i do. (the family will refer to me as 'mummy' instead of 'mommy', thus negating much of the 'relaxation' part of the event.) i have yet to find one that i really like.
this product has a lot of ingredients that would definitely help plump the skin, but i have to say that alcohol in the top five ingredients is not a good sign for any skin type. there is a chance, however, that the ingredient list is not specific as there are 'good' alcohols and bad ones.
It is a truly remarkable mask with unbelievable results. I wouldn't have believed it had I not experienced myself!
LOL-- mummy! That's hilarious! The physical serum drenched mask seems to be a great delivery system for the serum itself. I think that it is probably similar in principle to applying a deeply penetrating hair mask and then wrapping your hair in a shower cap and towel.
It is unbelievably moisturizing-- so I am not seeing any negative impact from the alcohol. You make a good point about them not distinguishing between the good or bad types of alcohol-- I suspect that it is the former though.
Tatcha's mask is rapidly becoming a red carpet cult favorite much like the one by SKII. They're an extravagance, but when a bit of special pampering is in order prior to an important event, they're well worth the price. When I use the Tatcha mask, I leave it on for 20-25 minutes. I lie down in a quite, darkened room, close my eyes, and enjoy some light classical music and, if I doze off a bit, so much the better :-). When I remove the mask, I stroke in the rest of the serum from the mask and use it as a treat for my neck and décolletage. I wouldn't want to waste even a single drop of this sublimely hydrating serum.ReplyDelete
I definitely agree that this mask has become a cult favorite, Eileen! I love the way that you use it! I am going to follow your lead the next time that I use this amazing mask! I definitely agree that they are worth every single penny-- I would pay even more given the astounding results! It is a sublimely hydrating serum, and most definitely best in class!!!!! Have a lovely weekend!Delete
