Tom Ford Cheek Color: Frantic Pink+Wicked=Passionate Pink

 Purchased by me
I am a huge proponent of mixing colors because the results can yield unexpected delights, and more often than not I end up with a color not otherwise found in my stash. Such was the case when I decided to mix Tom Ford's Frantic Pink and Wicked.
Frantic Pink (left) (discussed here and here) is a pinky peach shade with warm multicolor pearl, and Wicked (right) (reviewed here) is a mid-tone cool leaning blue-based raspberry pink with multicolor pearl. It is interesting that in the face of the cool-toned Wicked that Frantic Pink ostensibly morphs into Frantic Peach on me!
Left to right: Frantic Pink, Wicked, and the Frantic Pink/Wicked Private Blend (to use the Tom Ford vernacular).
The end result of their union is a breathtakingly gorgeous pink.
The blended shade tempers the boldness of Wicked and the warmth of Frantic Pink.
I love each of the shades individually, but together they create the perfect pink.
This combination definitely hits my pink blush sweet spot!

  1. Reason #37 Lola and BooBooNinja are sisters from another mother. Both girlies enjoy mixing/layering colours.

The new blush is beautiful. It floats my boat. (*groan* I did not wake up this morning thinking I'd comment on a blog using both a goofy phrase and a nerdy idiom.)

    1. Hi!! I started out with Wicked, then added frantic pink, and then a touch more Wicked and blended it until I achieved the color that I was looking for. Of course you could vary the intensity depending on what color you wanted, but I was really happy with this combination. :-)

  4. What a great idea to mix them! We mix foundations and creams and layer lipsticks, so why not layer blush. Cool!

  6. This is a gorgeous mix!! Like kissandmakeup says - we mix foundation & lip products why not blush. I've layered a powdered blush over a cream one if I know it's going to be a really long day but hadn't thought abt mixing powdered ones to come up with a new combo! Will have to see what I can mix up tomorrow!

I'm always happy when my daily Bloglovin' says there's a new post up!!

You should try it with some of our beloved Burberry blushes-- they mix beautifully! I mix everything- because it really is a lot of fun! Once you get started it is hard to stop imagining what new colors you can come up with! :-)
