RITUALS is a surprisingly affordable luxury skincare line that makes some of my all-time favorite body products. Their beautifully fragrant and nourishing treasures delight the senses and the skin, and they make perfect gifts during the holiday season. One of my very favorite bathing products is the Rituals Zensation Foaming Shower Gel Sensation Organic Rice Milk and Cherry Blossom. This is yet another masterpiece from Rituals, and this is not an exaggeration. Their Foaming Shower Gels are decadent things of beauty, and once you try them you will be hooked. The gel formula turns into a dense and rich foam upon contact with water. It is highly concentrated so a little goes a very long way, and it not only cleanses skin effectively, but it leaves skin soft, supple and moisturized. Furthermore, it doubles as one of the most effective and emollient shaving creams that effortlessly facilitates a very close shave. The scent is a gorgeous fusion of Indian Rose and Sweet Almond Oil, and this exotic blend not only leaves the skin with a sensual veil of fragrance, but it also leaves the bathroom smelling delectable.

RITUALS Fortune Oil Sweet Orange & Cedar Wood from the Laughing Buddha Collection is a wonderfully moisturizing shower oil for the body that functions in precisely the same way as the many facial cleansing oils that have recently flooded the market.

You simply apply a small amount of Fortune Oil Sweet Orange & Cedar Wood to your skin and as soon as it has contact with water it emulsifies and turns from an oil consistency to a thin milky emulsion that effectively cleans the skin, and leaves it delectably soft smooth and moisturized. The scent is a warm amalgam of Sweet Orange & Cedar Wood, and it is neither too sweet, nor too woodsy. While the scent is lovely it does not linger since it is, for the most part, washed away. How to use: Use Rinse the bath or shower well after use to avoid slipping. Rinse thoroughly if it comes into contact with the eyes.

It is really important to pay attention to their warning that one needs to rinse the shower or bathtub after use because the oil does leave an oily residue that could cause one to slip and fall.

If you are looking for a color safe volumizing shampoo that gives hair lots of shine, then look no further. Hair is thoroughly cleansed, but never stripped, and the refreshing scent of Eucalyptus is uplifting, but not overpowering. A lovely shampoo, indeed!

This is an absolutely decadent body cream. It is rich and creamy, but remarkably fast absorbing. It leaves skin very hydrated, silky soft, smooth and delightfully scented. The scent is a delectable blend of Sweet Orange and Cedar, but it is neither too sharp, nor too woodsy.

The lightweight whipped texture is exceedingly emollient and hydrating, but surprisingly fast absorbing. Skin is immediately left soft, supple and ultra-hydrated. RITUALS aptly describes the scent as one that is "wonderfully sweet and creamy." It is neither too sweet, nor too assertive, and once it settles into the skin it becomes a barely-there aromatic veil.

RITUALS Himalaya Scrub Sweet Almond Oil & Indian Rose Salt Scrub ($29.00 for 15.8 oz. from RITUALS and Barneys New York and John Lewis £19.50):

Given my unmitigated love for everything that Rituals makes, it should come as no surprise that I would effusively gush over their Rituals Himalaya Scrub Sweet Almond Oil & Indian Rose, and trust me when I say that the scent alone will make you deliriously happy. The scent is an amalgam of Rose with a hint of the Mentha Piperita Oil quietly asserting itself. The end result is a delectable rose peppered with a touch of mint, and the overall composition is otherworldly.

As a proponent of regular exfoliation, I routinely seek new scrubs to remove dead skin cells and leave skin baby soft, velvety smooth and utterly supple, but often times skin is left stripped and dehydrated. However, this scrumptious scrub is suspended in glorious moisturizing oils that leave skin unbelievably moisturized, and it would be a understatement to state theta it fulfills my desire to be left with skin that is baby soft, velvety smooth and utterly supple. This is an A+ scrub any way that you do the math!

Rituals is one of my favorite luxury brands, and their face, body and home products are remarkably affordable without sacrificing any of the luxury. They offer a wide variety of beautiful products from which to choose, and if you are seeking holiday gifts, hostess gifts or stocking stuffers– then Rituals is well worth your consideration. I have reviewed many of their covet-worthy products over the years, and wanted to introduce you to a few of my current favorites.

Rituals Hammam Secret Fresh Eucalyptus & Rosemary Home Fragrance Sticks ($39.00 from Rituals and Barneys New York): I have been enjoying reed diffusers from the time that I first noticed them enter the marketplace, but I am so excited that Rituals added them to their collection. Not only is the the glass vessel an exercise in modern minimalism, but the aroma is heavenly. It reads as a warm Rosemary that is both calming and restorative, and each time that I walk into my bathroom the scent gives me a sense of wellbeing.

According to Rituals,

Arrange the elegant, natural sticks in the perfume-filled bottle. This is a formula in which it is not necessary to turn the sticks. If you want to have an extra perfume experience turn the sticks as needed, after this wash your hands with water and soap. Note: if you turn the sticks a lot it is possible that they last shorter than 3 months.

Caution: Highly inflammable. Keep away from sources of ignition. do not smoke. Keep out of reach of children. Use only in well-ventilated areas. Rituals Indian Rose Scented Candle ($35.00 from Rituals): The moment that I opened the box and smelled this gorgeous candle, it was true love. I love rose scented candles, and this one is really special. The aroma features the pairing of Indian Rose and Sweet Almond Oil, and it is warm, sweet, but not too sweet, and perhaps one of the most lovely roses imagined.

Rituals Samurai Bath Luxurious Bath Foam ($19.00 for 16.9 oz. from Rituals): If you love to take bubble baths, or if someone on your holiday gift list does, then this bath foam is sure to delight. It has a clean, fresh aroma that is very pleasant, while the Organic Bamboo and Wakame soften the skin. Furthermore, this formula is enriched with natural extracts that gently clean the skin without stripping it.

Directions: pour in a little Samurai Bath as you fill your bath with hot water. Lie back and enjoy the sensation of being engulfed in this rich, creamy foam.

It is unisex, with an ever so slightly masculine aroma, and will be a favorite for men prone to ingrown hairs, but is perfect for anyone looking for a highly effective, gentle exfoliating cleanser that does not sacrifice efficacy.

One of my favorite recent ways to pamper myself is by using wonderful and calming body care products at night that facilitate a restful night of sleep. When I am particularly busy at work– which I always am during the spring quarter– I often work very long hours and do not get nearly enough sleep. Therefore, calming body products and bed mists work wonders in their ability to help me drift off into a deep and restful sleep (along with Sleepytime Tea). RITUALS has three amazing products that I use all of the time for this very reason, and they are such a tremendous delight to the senses. Here are my picks, and why I love them:

RITUALS Fortune Oil Sweet Orange & Cedar Wood Caring Shower Oil ($15.00 from RITUALS and Spring): RITUALS Fortune Oil Sweet Orange & Cedar Wood from the Laughing Buddha Collection is a wonderfully moisturizing shower oil for the body that functions in precisely the same way as the many facial cleansing oils that have recently flooded the market.

You simply apply a small amount of Fortune Oil Sweet Orange & Cedar Wood to your skin and as soon as it has contact with water it emulsifies and turns from an oil consistency to a thin milky emulsion that effectively cleans the skin, and leaves it delectably soft smooth and moisturized. The scent is a warm amalgam of Sweet Orange & Cedar Wood, and it is neither too sweet, nor too woodsy. While the scent is lovely it does not linger since it is, for the most part, washed away.

RITUALS The Ritual of Dao Bed & Body Mist ($25.00 for oz. from RITUALS and Amazon): Oh how I love this spray! While it is quite lovely on the skin, I tend to use it to spray my pillows and bedding, and what a wonder it is! The wonderful aroma is a calming light scent that defies a precise description. It is soothing and warm punctuated by the White Lotus, and its delicate aroma promotes relaxation, and makes the bedroom smell heavenly.

Enriched with calming ingredients Yi Yi Ren and White Lotus, promotes restful sleep and meditation. 
Cosmetic formula contains no alcohol and is therefore ideal for use on (sensitive) skin.

RITUALS The Ritual of Dao Soothing Night Balm ($17.00 for oz. from RITUALS and Spring): This is a delectable balm that is rich, ultra-luxe and deeply nourishing. It quickly softens and moisturizes dry hands and cuticles, and leaves skin silky smooth. It is very concentrated, therefore only a small amount is needed for both hands. It also works beautifully on dry feet, and when used under soft, fluffy socks the results are amazing. It has the same wonderful aroma as The Ritual of Dao Bed & Body Mist that is punctuated by White Lotus.

The Night Balm combines the mild aroma of White Lotus with the skin-soothing qualities of Yi Yi Ren, used in traditional Chinese medicine.

Delectable Fragrant Body Products for Summer | #Rituals #MoltonBrown #SenteursdOrient

As soon as the weather heats up I love switch fragrances, and I routinely add new fragrant body care products into my daily pampering routine this time of the year. Among my very favorite brands are Molton Brown, Rituals and SENTEURS D'ORIENT, and I therefore decided to select some of my current favorites to share with you. Part of my summertime routine is to reboot my shower by filling it with luxurious scents in which to luxuriate, and therefore I primarily selected an array of cleansers and soaps, but I did include one Eau de Toilette that I have been applying right out of the shower lately.

Molton Brown Heavenly Gingerlily Eau de Toilette ($65.00 for oz. from Molton Brown, Saks Fifth Avenue, John Lewis £39.00 and Selfridges): Described as, "Exotic. Alluring. Escapist," this warm and rich spicy floral is an intoxicating scent punctuated by Tuberose, Lily and Jasmine commingled with spicy top notes of Cardamom, Ginger and Clove. It sits close to the skin, and when it dries down it becomes an exotic and light fruity floral. It is a perfect fragrance for the summer, and I find myself reaching for it all of the time.

According to Molton Brown,

Exotic flora. Black sands. Fragrant spices perfuming the breeze. Escape to Tahitian shores with the enticing aromas of paradise.

This alluring eau de toilette fragrance captures the floral character of tuberose and lily from the body collection. These notes are further enhanced with ginger and real rose oil in the top and middle notes, whilst cardamom balances the fragrance. Cedarwood and noble musks in the base notes ensures the aroma lasts. 

Top notes: Cardamom, Ginger and Clove.
Heart notes: Tuberose, Tagetes, Lily and Jasmine.
Base notes: Cedarwood, Sandalwood and Musk.

Rituals remains one of my all-time favorite bath and body brands, and not only are their products luxurious and delectable smelling, but they are also very affordable.

Rituals The Ritual of Dao Silence 3 in 1 Hand Scrub ($19.00 for 6.7 oz. from Rituals): I am utterly obsessed with this effective cleansing hand scrub– it is gentle enough to use every single day, and yet it has the perfect amount of grit to effectively remove dead skin cells to reveal soft, smooth and supple skin. It has a wonderful White Lotus aroma that is a delight to the senses, but it does not linger very long after rinsing.

Overall assessment: I'm deliriously happy with Rituals Zensation Foaming Shower Gel Sensation Organic Rice Milk and Cherry Blossom, and now need to further investigate everything else that Rituals makes! There is something magical about their take on a shower gel, and one can only imagine how they approach the rest of their products!

Given my unmitigated love for everything that Rituals makes, it should come as no surprise that I would effusively gush over their Rituals Himalaya Scrub Sweet Almond Oil & Indian Rose, and trust me when I say that the scent alone will make you deliriously happy. The scent is an amalgam of Rose with a hint of the Mentha Piperita Oil quietly asserting itself. The end result is a delectable rose peppered with a touch of mint, and the overall composition is otherworldly.

As a proponent of regular exfoliation, I routinely seek new scrubs to remove dead skin cells and leave skin baby soft, velvety smooth and utterly supple, but often times skin is left stripped and dehydrated. However, this scrumptious scrub is suspended in glorious moisturizing oils that leave skin unbelievably moisturized, and it would be a understatement to state theta it fulfills my desire to be left with skin that is baby soft, velvety smooth and utterly supple. This is an A+ scrub any way that you do the math!

Directions: Scoop a generous dollop of balm and dispense it into the palm of the hand. Lovinah Dragon-C Vitamin C and Bio-Retinol Brightening Elixir: This antioxidant-rich Vitamin C based facial oil is my current favorite luxury face oil, and for me that is a significant claim– given my longstanding love of luxury face oils. This brightening elixir, which is composed in a base of Dragon Fruit Oil, also includes Kakadu Plum Oil, Goji Berry Oil, Lingonberry Oil, Raspberry Oil , Mongongo Nut Oil, Mongongon Nut Oil– to name a few of its nourishing oils.

Unlike many Vitamin C based products that quickly oxidize, Lovinah Dragon-C Vitamin C and Bio-Retinol Brightening Elixir contains a very stable form of Vitamin C, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, selected because it is a highly absorptive form of oil-soluble Vitamin C. Furthermore, Kakadu Plum, Dragon Fruit and Goji Berry were selected since they are very rich in Vitamin C. 

The texture of this oil is like crushed velvet, and the scent has a heavenly natural fruity sensibility that defies description.
