Mad Hippie MicroDERMABRASION Facial Review

Press Sample (Unaffiliated Links)

It has been a while since I have tried something new from Mad Hippie, and when I learned about their brand new MicroDERMABRASION Facial, I was quite excited to try it. Their products are effective, cruelty-free, a pleasure to use and affordable.

Mad Hippie MicroDERMABRASION Facial is a seriously effective, and easy to use, exfoliant that utilizes a blend of physical exfoliants, from bamboo and volcanic ash, in concert with 6 different alpha-hydroxy acids and probiotics, to exfoliate dead skin cells. The physical exfoliating particles, which are gentle against the skin, dislodge dead skin cells while the AHAs help to dissolve them. The end result is clean, soft, smooth, glowing skin that is neither irritated, nor stripped.

According to Mad Hippie,

Micro-exfoliants join forces with 6 alpha hydroxy acids plus probiotics to brighten, soften & smooth.  Physical exfoliants, bamboo & volcanic ash, gently buff away dry, dull skin, while half a dozen AHAs, including glycolic & mandelic acid, offer a gentle chemical exfoliation that leaves you glowing! Probiotics to soothe and nourish. A true dermabrasion treatment that can be used up to 2x weekly for an at-home spa experience!  This dual action resurfacing treatment combines physical micro-exfoliants with alpha hydroxy acids for brighter, smoother skin.

The MicroDermabrasion Facial utilizes a blend of six different AHAs, plus probiotics, volcanic ash, and bamboo extract which provides two types of exfoliation. The physical exfoliants gently buff away dead skin cells while the AHA blend, including glycolic acid, provides a deeper level of exfoliation. Unlike the Polishing Mask, it is not a dry formula and does not need to be mixed with water as it is a ready-to-use product. We recommend massaging into clean, damp skin in a circular, buffing motion, leaving on for three minutes, and then rinsing with lukewarm water. It can be followed with a moisturizer. This is an advanced treatment that we recommend for use once or twice a week max.

Directions: Massage into clean, damp skin in a circular, buffing motion. Leave on 3 mins, then rinse. Follow with moisturizer. Use up to 2x weekly.

  3. That's a nice texture! Since I started tretinoin I probably wouldn't be able to use it on my face, but I bet it can work wonders on neck and chest!

    1. It really does have a wonderful texture! I really love this brand, and this exfoliant is definitely worth trying out. I definitely would avoid it on your face if you are using Tretinoin, but it is excellent for your neck and chest!
