Dr. Brandt PoreDermabrasion Pore Perfecting Exfoliator ($58.00 for 2 oz. from Dr. Brandt Skincare, Sephora, Ulta, Macy's and Birchbox): While I do not have what I would describe as enlarged pores, I do love a very effective exfoliant, and I am utterly transfixed by the efficacy and visible results from Dr. Brandt PoreDermabrasion Pore Perfecting Exfoliator.

Dr. Brandt PoreDermabrasion is an ultra-fine grit physical and chemical exfoliant that features uniformly shaped tiny exfoliating particles that gentle on the skin. Because of their uniformity they neither scratch, nor tear the skin, and therefore skin isn't in the least bit traumatized as is often the case after using assertive exfoliants. This exfoliator is so effective that one only needs to use a featherlight touch when massaging it on the skin. The first thing that I notice is that my skin feels soft, smooth and supple, but not in the least bit stripped. What I immediately noticed, even after my first use, was that my congested pores were visibly cleared, and that my skin looked soft, supple, radiant and was silky smooth to the touch. While my pores aren't large, they definitely were less noticeable.

I have a real soft-spot for facial masks, and always have. In part, my love of masking has to do with the pampering ritual, and slowing down indulging in home-spa activities is always a great antidote to a very busy life. You simply brush a small amount on the areas that you seek to fill or plump, and the Hyaluronic Acid Peptides and proprietary Adipofill'in plump up that area, and the effects last on me for about 3-4 days before I need to repeat the process. I don't have deep lines or wrinkles, but I do have fine expression lines that definitely appear smaller and smoother. There is a slight tingle when you first apply it, but it is neither unpleasant, nor is it long-lasting.

Dr. Brandt Skincare has so many innovative and cutting-edge formulas in their product arsenal that it is hard for me to select a favorite from my collection. I am a longtime proponent of micellar water, and this fragrance-free version effectively removes makeup, including waterproof eye makeup, and it does so without irritating my sensitive eyes. Dr. Brandt XYY Xtend Your Youth Face Cream is a lightweight and fast-absorbing antioxidant rich anti-aging cream that offers skin long-lasting antioxidant protection and moisture. What is immediately evident is that my skin appears and feels ultra-hydrated, soft, smooth, supple and with an obvious luminosity when I use this cream. Furthermore, I note that my fine lines appear softened and lifted, and the overall texture of my skin appears enhanced.

The texture of the cream is luxurious and emollient, and feels utterly delightful against the skin, and it leaves behind no greasy residue.  It is free of synthetic fragrance, but it has a very faint scent from the Rosa Damascena Flower Oil and Rose Extract, but it is barely detectable, and it fades immediately. That I am obsessed with high quality skincare barely warrants mention, but I try so many products that I sometimes feel a touch jaded because it isn't as easy to wow me as it once was. Throughout the years I have tried several dr. brandt skincare products and have always really liked the line, but lately have tested numerous products from the line that have really wowed me.

While I don't have what I would describe as enlarged pores, I have found myself utterly transfixed by the efficacy and visible results from dr. brandt PoreDermabrasion pore perfecting exfoliator and dr. brandt pores no more pore refiner primer.

dr. brandt PoreDermabrasion Pore Perfecting Exfoliator is an ultra-fine grit physical and chemical exfoliant that features uniformly shaped tiny exfoliating particles that gentle on the skin. Because of their uniformity they neither scratch, nor tear the skin, and therefore skin isn't in the least bit traumatized as is often the case after using assertive exfoliants. This exfoliator is so effective that one only needs to use a featherlight touch when massaging it into the skin. Since PoreDermabrasion pore perfecting exfoliator features physical and chemical exfoliators, it is a true dual action exfoliator. The physical exfoliating particles loosen and lift dead skin cells while the chemical exfoliants deeply cleanse congested pores. In order to take advantage of both types of exfoliants, I apply a small amount to damp skin and gently massage it in a circular motion for about a minute. I move it around my face without overdoing it in any one spot, and I always err on the side of caution to avoid over-exfoliation. Once I have finished this step I leave it on my face for a couple of minutes to allow the chemical exfoliants to deeply cleanse my pores, and then I rinse my skin very well to remove every trace of this potent exfoliant. The first thing that I notice is that my skin feels soft, smooth and supple, but not in the least bit stripped. What I immediately noticed, even after my first use, was that my congested pores were visibly cleared, and that my skin looked soft, supple, radiant and was silky smooth to the touch. While my pores aren't large, they definitely were less noticeable.

dr. brandt pores no more pore refiner primer is a lightly tinted primer that minimizes the appearance of pores by diffusing light and blurring imperfections and fine lines. It has a velvety smooth texture that glides across the skin effortlessly, and it melts into the skin leaving it even in tone and utterly perfected. While it is lightly tinted, it imparts no tangible color, but when worn alone there is a noticeable difference in the evening and perfecting of skin tone. It can be used alone or under your favorite foundations, tinted moisturizers and BB and CC creams, and the results are always impressive. Additionally, it does an exemplary job extending the life of your finishing products, and for me I enjoy full day wear without fading. Furthermore, I found it mildly moisturizing, rather than drying even though it claims to be mattifying. On my skin it offers a more natural finish rather than one that is truly matte.

Overall Assessment: A mighty duo, indeed! PoreDermabrasion pore perfecting exfoliator is unquestionably one of the most effective exfoliators that I have used, and I have definitely become quite obsessed with it.

While I do not use a primer on a daily basis, I really like the way that pores no more pore refiner primer makes my skin look and feel, and as a result I have used it every single day since having received it. If you haven't tried anything from dr. brandt, I highly recommend becoming acquainted with this fantastic line. If you are looking to try a new exfoliator or primer, then these are definitely worth your consideration.
