I have been using Emile Cordon Cashmere-On Lip Pots (Reviewed HERE) for a couple of years, and their ultra-luxe lip balms remain among my very favorite lip products. Therefore, when they launched the Emile Cordon Miracle Lip Balms I could barely contain my excitement, and I was thrilled when I received 6 twinkling pots of these gorgeous gems. Each of these delectably fragrant luxurious lip balms nourish, hydrate and lightly plump the lips, and four of the six that I received are beautifully tinted in perfectly flattering buildable shades. Each of these Miracle Lip Balms impart the lips with a stunning glossy shine, and they have the perfect amount of cushion for comfortable wear. They nourish and moisturize the lips– leaving them soft, smooth, supple and lightly plumped.

The formula is very concentrated, therefore only a tiny amount is needed to coat the lips. However, the tinted balms offer buildable coverage, and therefore you may want to add a coat or two to achieve your desired level of opacity and color saturation.

Overall Assessment: If you love ultra-luxe lip balms, then Emile Cordon Miracle Lip Balms are sure to delight you. They are expensive, but they are incredibly concentrated. Therefore one beautiful glistening pot will last you a very very long time. I am thoroughly obsessed with all of Emile Cordon Lip Balms, and these are among my most-reached for lip products.

Overall Assessment: I'm obsessed with Emile Cordon Cashmere-On Lip Pots In N°1 Lisa and N°72 Coco, and need to try more of their fragrant blends. If you are looking for a new ultra-luxe balm, then look no further! These gems earn an unmitigated A+!

By Terry's iconic Baume de Rose (Reviewed HERE) has been one of my very favorite luxury lip balms since I first began using it years ago, and the new limited edition By Terry Impearlious Baume De Rose Set ($65.00 for five 0.08 oz. balms from Space NK, Space NK in Nordstrom and Space NK in Bloomingdale's) is the ultimate By Terry luxury lip set. Each 0.08 oz. (the full size features 0.238fl. oz) ultra-chic lip treatment boasts the effective lip-saving Baume de Rose formula, but 4 of the 5 shades are infused with subtle color and gorgeous luminous pearl. 

The creamy textured balms leave lips soft, supple, hydrated and silky smooth. The limited-edition pearlized shades offer a sheer wash of pearlized color, a gorgeous shine, and they are absolutely gorgeous on the lips. I do not have particularly pigmented lips, and therefore you can detect a definite difference in each of the shades. However, these are sheer-leaning balms, and if you have very pigmented lips you will likely detect very little difference between them– instead you will see sheer coverage with a hint of color and the beautiful pearlized luminescence. 

Baume de Rose has a rather thick consistency that thoroughly coats the lips without feeling heavy or uncomfortable. It is not sticky in the least bit, and has the perfect amount of cushion. It has the quintessential By Terry rose scent, which I find delightful, but may be problematic to those who avoid scented lip products.

The original Baume de Rose imparts a sheer milky pink hue, and it makes my lips appear more plump, and in addition to being sumptuous all by itself- it also makes a lovely base for lipstick.

All of the Baume de Rose balms in this set can be worn alone, or paired with your favorite lipsticks.

Nº 100 Frozen Queen: is described as, "evanescent, like a pearl of the South Seas." I would describe this shade as a sheer taupe-like hue with shimmering silver pearl.

Nº 200 Fresco Rose: is described as, "pink, delicate and refined, like a freshwater pearl." This is a stunning pink infused with silver pearl.

Nº 300 Frost Fire: is described as, "red baroque, fiery like an Oriental pearl." This is a gorgeous burnished copper with peach undertones and golden peach shimmer.

Overall Assessment: As a huge fan of By Terry Baume de Rose, I am utterly smitten with the By Terry Impearlious Baume De Rose Set. I find the formula, sheer wash of color, and pearlized luminescence absolute unmitigated perfection. If, however, you have particularly pigmented lips, and are seeking more opacity, then you need to be advised that this set is definitely more sheer than opaque.

It is no secret that I am obsessed with high quality lip balms, and I use them all of the time, but this time of year I use them with far greater frequency. The colder weather can wreak havoc on the lips leaving them dry, chapped and often peeling. While I have many beloved lip balms– from drugstore to luxury brands– I am always on the lookout for more that are covet-worthy. My latest lip balm obsession is the Rodial Glam Lip Balm, and from the moment that this wondrous rose scented balm touched my lips, I knew it was true love.  

Rodial Glam Balm Lip is a medium weight, ultra-hydrating lip balm that utilizes advanced stem cell technology to hydrate, soothe and calm dry, chapped and irritated lips. The Hyaluronic Acid filling spheres plump up and volumize fine lines and retain moisture– leaving lips soft, smooth and supple. Glam Balm Lip has a lovely light sheen– therefore I often use it in lieu of a lip gloss. Overall Assessment: I love this lip balm, and recommend it to anyone looking for a new ultra-hydrating balm that plumps fine lines, and leaves lips soft, supple and silky smooth. If you love the scent of roses, then this balm will be a feast to your senses.

ESPA Mandarin Lip Balm is a wonderful luxury balm that heals dry, chapped lips by providing intense moisture and hydration. This 100% natural formula includes ultra-nourishing, antioxidant-rich ingredients that protect, hydrate, soften and heal even the most chapped lips.

My lips have been particularly chapped this season, and this luxurious English Lip Balm has performed small miracles on them. After only a few days of use my lips were transformed from tight, red and chapped to soft, supple, hydrated and healed. The soft texture is waxy enough to cling to lips and provide longterm hydration, and it has the perfect amount of cushion. While the Mandarin taste is delectable, it is quite subtle, and the flavor fades after less than a minute.

The compact, in which the balm is housed, is luxe with a satisfying heft– yet it boasts a slim and unobtrusive profile. The underside of the lid features a useful mirror, and the lid closes with a very gratifying click.

Overall Assessment: There is no question that I have a serious penchant for luxury lip balms, and ESPA Mandarin Lip Balm now has pride of place among my favorites.
