BANILA CO Clean It Zero Original Cleansing Balm, from a wonderful K-Beauty brand, is a real pleasure to use. If you are anything like me, and love a good cleansing balm, then this is definitely one worth trying. Simply scoop out a small amount of this luscious balm and then gently massage it into the skin. As soon as you add water to this oil-based balm it transforms into a delectable creamy and milky emulsion. I massage it into the skin for a few more seconds and then rinse it off with warm water. Sometimes I double cleanse and follow with one of my lathering cleansers, but sometimes I just use this cleansing balm, and my skin is left remarkably soft, silky smooth and hydrated. It rinses clean without any sort of oily residue, and its light and pleasant aroma disappears altogether. It is such a pleasure to use this cleansing balm, and a little goes a very long way. Therefore, this jar should last a very long time– even with regular use.

TIRTIR Hydro Boost Enzyme Cleansing Balm is a really lovely cleansing balm in every way conceivable, in my humble opinion. I am a big fan of double cleansing, and therefore I routinely use cleansing oils and cleansing balms before I use my regular cleanser. This step removes all traces of makeup and dirt and it does not strip the skin. This cleansing balm is lightweight and very emollient, and it has no detectable scent whatsoever (and fragrance is not listed among its ingredients). Simply massage a small amount into dry skin (with dry hands), and then add a bit of warm water. It immediately transforms into a light, milky emulsion that cleans every bit of makeup, sunscreen and dirt. It rinses completely clean and leaves behind no oily residue. In fact, skin is left soft, smooth and lightly hydrated. It is just my type of cleansing balm because it does not leave behind a greasy residue that can sometimes require a triple cleanse to remove.

KIMTRUE Makeup Remover Meltway Cleansing Balm with Bilberry & Moringa Seed Extracts is a cleansing balm that effectively removes makeup and dirt, and it helps dislodge excess oils trapped in the pores. Simply massage a small amount into the skin and it melts away makeup and cleans skin without the need for double cleansing, but you still can double please if it is a part of your routine. The moisturizing ingredients leave skin nourished without leaving behind a greasy residue. I always remove my makeup with a biphase liquid makeup remover that is specifically formulated to remove eye makeup because I have sensitive eyes, and I always avoid removing my makeup with anything else.

This cleansing balm has a lightweight waxy texture that immediately transforms into an oil when it is massaged into warm skin. Once warm water is introduced, it transforms, yet again, into a milky emulsion. Simply rinse with warm water and skin is left clean, residue-free and hydrated. It has a very faint citrus aroma, when you first massage it into the skin, but I have found that it fades very quickly.

Clean 10 Cleansing Balm is an emollient, delectably citrus scented, cleansing balm that can be used alone, or with the Juno & Co.Cleansing Cookie (reviewed HERE), and can be followed with your favorite cleanser or with Juno & Co. Exfoliating Face Wash Powder (reviewed HERE), for an excellent double cleanse. This cleansing balm has a light, and yet richly emollient texture that removes absolutely every bit of makeup. While many people use their cleansing balms to remove their eye makeup, I always use a separate eye makeup remover to take off my eye makeup before I double cleanse. I simply prefer to use a gentle eye makeup remover, since I have sensitive eyes, but also because I don't like to have eye makeup smear all over my face when double cleanse.

I then follow with a cleanser, since I always double cleanse, and my skin is left clean, soft, smooth and ready for my serum, moisturizer, and sunscreen during the day.

[ comfort zone ] SACRED NATURE Cleansing Balm has got to be the best kept secret to the world of cleansing balms. This sacred balm, made in Italy by the Davines Skincare Division, has an oil-gel texture that transforms into a milky emulsion when introduced to water. You simply use the wooden spatula to remove a tiny amount of balm from the glass jar and then massage it into your skin and neck. After a minute, or so, add water to your fingers to emulsify the balm and then rinse with water, or remove it with a warm, wet towel. If you tend to double cleanse, then you can simply rinse your skin once and then use your second cleanser. This balm, which is Certified Organic, has such a gorgeous and satisfying texture, and it is fragrance-free. 

It effectively removes makeup, including eye makeup, and the organic buriti oil works wonders in its ability to break down and remove makeup. I have not tested it against waterproof mascaras, because I tend not to wear them, but it has removed my eyeliners and eyeshadows with ease. I try not to get it into my eyes since it is oily and milky and it can cloud your vision until it washes away, but it doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes. After cleansing, my skin is left feeling very comfortable, and never dry or irritated. Instead, it is left soft, smooth and supple and hydrated.
