The CHANEL MIROIR DOUBLE FACETTES Mirror Duo is another one of the lovely birthday gifts that my beloved sister gave me this year. It is a really beautiful double mirror compact that is perfect for my makeup bag. The sturdy compact is 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" and comes with its own felt pouch that prevents scratching. The compact looks precisely like their eyeshadow and blush compacts, but it is more slim. It is a dense and solid plastic with the CHANEL double C logo on the front and nothing on the back. One side boasts a regular mirror and the other is a magnifying mirror. It is truly everything that I could possibly need in a mirror for my makeup bag.

CHANEL LE VOLUME DE CHANEL Mascara is yet another amazing CHANEL gift from my sister, and as someone who rarely wears mascara, it isn't often that I wax poetic about them, but this is one seriously lovely mascara! It makes my lashes full and voluminous without looking overdone, and it offers rich and deep color. I am able to separate my lashes because the brush bristles are able to separate lashes without unsightly clumping. Furthermore, this mascara doesn't flake, smudge or transfer on me. It stays put until I remove it at the end of the day.

Overall Assessment: For a person who often skips mascara, this is one that I reach for all of the time.

Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long Lasting Eyeliner in Noir Intense 88 is a very long-wearing waterproof and smudge-proof eyeliner that is able to create definition and crisp lines. The texture is creamy enough not to tug on the delicate eye area, and yet firm enough not to smudge and transfer. Years ago I wore this eyeliner in Espresso every single day, and had forgotten all about it until my sister gave me a Chanel makeup bag filled with all sorts of Chanel goodies for my birthday. The second that I applied this eyeliner in Noir Intense 88, I remembered precisely why I wore this eyeliner in Espresso for so long. Noir Intense isn't such a stark black that it is too severe for daily use, and it frames my hazel eyes so beautifully that I am thoroughly in love with this eyeliner. Thanks to my very generous and thoughtful sister, I now can enjoy this lovely eyeliner again.
