Winter Exfoliation and Hydration for Perfectly Radiant Skin

Exfoliating is among my favorite type of skincare treatment in which to indulge. However, exfoliating the skin can be very drying, and therefore more problematic when exacerbated by the cold winter weather. While I exfoliate a little less during the colder months, I do not stop altogether. However, I do like to follow up with a more nourishing and hydrating sheet mask, and a high SPF sunscreen to protect my skin. I am featuring two products that I have been testing, and I found that they work amazingly well together. The result is beautifully exfoliated skin that is ultra-hydrated and luminous. Beyond Glow Smoothing Peeling Gel and INNA ORGANIC Green Tea Rose Soothing Hydrasol Mask are a mighty duo, indeed.

Beyond Glow Smoothing Peeling Gel ($37.00 for 3.38 oz. from Chi and Amazon): This gentle exfoliant is such a pleasure to use. You simply apply it to clean, dry skin and gently massage your face. Dead skin pills effortlessly, and washes away, revealing seriously soft and supple skin. It is as effective as it is fun to use, and it has a barely-there aroma that is so faint that it should pose no problem to sensitive skin and noses.

Beyond Glow Moisture Eye Cream is formulated to deliver intense moisture to the delicate eye area while diminishing the appearance of dark circles and fine lines, and improving elasticity. It is mid-weight, fast absorbing and leaves behind no greasy residue. Furthermore, It offers all-day moisture and it leaves skin soft, smooth and luminous. It is wonderful to use morning and night, and isn't so rich that it gives me any milia. While it lists fragrance among its ingredients, it is not fragrant. It has a faint, barely-there pleasant whisper of a scent, but it poses no problem for my sensitive eyes.

Overall Assessment: I have largely been using this eye cream with my FOREO IRIS, and I am thrilled with the results. However, it is very effective without the need for any sort of device.

Beyond Glow Botanical Skin Care Moisture Balancing Toner is a lovely new addition to my skincare routine, and while do not always use a toner this one is certainly worthy of regular use. It eliminates any soap residue or missed makeup after cleansing and it leaves skin soft, smooth and balanced. I have normal/combination skin that leans more normal than combination, and this toner did not leave my skin in the least bit stripped, dry or taut. In fact, my skin feels lightly hydrated and refreshed after use. It has a faint and pleasant fruity aroma, but it isn't in the least bit cloying or overpowering.

Beyond Glow is a brand that I recently discovered, and so far I must say that I really like what I have tried, a lot. My journey began with their cleanser (Reviewed HERE) and then with their Cleansing Oil, and I am quite satisfied with the results.

Beyond Glow Skin Care Cleansing Oil is a 2-in-1 cleanser that can be used alone or as the first step in a double cleansing routine. It should gently be massaged into dry skin and as soon as it comes into contact with water it emulsifies into the most delectable milky oil with a very pleasant fruity aroma. It effectively removes makeup and thoroughly cleans the skin without stripping it in the least bit. Skin is left soft, smooth and supple.

According to Beyond Glow,

2-in-1 pre-cleansing solution removes makeup and cleanses oil-based impurities in one step without stripping skin of natural oils. Gentle pre-cleansing solution thoroughly removes makeup and cleanses oil-based impurities in one step. I am always delighted to try out new skincare products, and as logic would dictate, I tend to try a brand's cleanser first to get a sense of how their products might work for my skin. Beyond Glow Botanical Skin Care Foam Cleanser is the first product that I have tried from this brand, and I am delighted to report that it is very effective, and quite satisfying to use. I really do prefer a luscious creamy lather when I wash my face, but the caveat is that it must neither strip the skin, nor be in the least bit drying. While I have largely normal/combination skin, I do not like my skin to get too squeaky clean since that tends to strip it, and cause excess oil production. 

This cleanser has the distinction of a very rich and creamy lather, that is oh-so-satisfying to use, and it thoroughly cleans without leaving my skin dry, stripped or taut. It has a light and fresh fruity aroma, but it is neither overpowering, nor long lasting. It is very concentrated, therefore be advised that only the tiniest amount is needed for excellent results. This cleanser is formulated for all types of skin.
