Alchimie Forever Daily Defense Cream SPF 23 is an antioxidant rich moisturizer that hydrates and protects the skin against premature aging. The texture rich and emollient, and feels a bit more like an anti-aging cream than one that includes a sunscreen. Skin is left soft, supple, moisturized and protected. I find that it also makes an excellent base for makeup, and leaves behind no white cast.

This daily defense contains filters to help defend against damaging UV rays. It helps protect skin to keep it looking younger. Alchimie Forever's signature ingredient, the blueberry, in synergy with vitamins C and E and edelweiss, fights free radical damage to minimize the appearance of signs of premature aging. Formulated in Switzerland. DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Smooth over cleansed face and neck every morning for hydration, protection against UV, and anti-aging effects. Perfect under makeup. Suitable for all skin types including sensitive or sensitized skin. Non comedogenic.

Overall assessment: A lovely antioxidant rich anti-aging daily face cream that protects as it treats the skin. However, you must remember to reapply it every couple of hours to maintain the sun protection. When I know that I will be outdoors for longer stretches of time I tend to wear a tinted moisturizer on top of this cream that has an SPF of 30 or higher. Alchimie Forever Daily Defense Cream SPF 23 also pairs very nicely with their Gentle Refining Scrub (reviewed here).

Alchimie Forever Gentle Refining Scrub not only brightens and evens out skin tone, but it does so while simultaneously nourishing and softening the skin. This gentle scrub is formulated for all skin types, but addresses the specific needs of "sensitive or sensitized skin."  It is the dual action of the physical and enzyme exfoliants that make this such a highly effective scrub. The physical exfoliating particles lift dead skin cells while the enzymes dissolve them. I like to apply the scrub to slightly damp skin and allow it to sit for a few minutes like a mask in order for it loosen and dissolve some of the excess dead skin before I employ the physical exfoliants by gently massaging it on my face. The end result is gloriously soft, smooth, exfoliated skin that glows. It is so gentle and effective that I can use it twice a week without traumatizing my skin in any way.

Overall assessment: This is an amazingly effective scrub! It is so gentle and effective, and unlike most scrubs it leaves your skin nourished and moisturized rather than stripped! The dual action that combines physical and enzyme exfoliants is utterly brilliant. I love this scrub! A+
