Advanced Mineral Makeup continues to impress me by the sheer quality of their healthy products coupled with their affordability. Therefore, it was no surprise when I fell in love with their pink blush, lip liner and lip gloss, and they were too good not to share them with you.
Annie Mayo, a Film and TV makeup artist, who created Advanced Mineral Makeup in 2009, sought to create healthy high definition makeup that would flawlessly create "close up" camera ready coverage. Her products are cruelty-free, vegan and free of harmful chemicals and toxins. I have tried three of per products so far, and am quite pleased with the results.
AMM Blush in Pink Candy ($29.50 for 4.5g from Advanced Mineral Makeup): Pink Candy is an ultra-finely milled powder blush that has a creamy, velvety texture, and it has a beautiful natural finish. It offers buildable coverage, but I prefer using a light hand for a natural flush of color. Pink Candy is a lovely mid-tone pink that is very flattering on the skin.

Advanced Mineral Makeup Liquid Mineral Foundation ($45.00 for 1 oz. fromAdvanced Mineral Makeup and Amazon): Available in 7 shades, I selected Crème Brûlée since it seemed to be the closest match to my skin tone. While it is decidedly warmer than my skin in the swatch below, I note that it is a good match once blended into the skin. The formula is lightweight, it offers buildable coverage while looking natural, and it neither settles into pores, nor does it settle into fine lines. It has a creamy consistency, a natural finish that is neither matte, nor too dewy, and it boasts serious longevity. Furthermore, there is no detectable fragrance and the color stays true all day without oxidizing.

Boasting medium to full coverage, this concealer does an enviable job concealing dark circles, scars and blemishes. The lightweight formula glides across the skin effortlessly, deposits crease-proof pigmentation effortlessly, and it neither settles into fine lines, nor does it migrate. Furthermore, this concealer is lightly hydrating without being too emollient, and it has wonderful light reflective properties that gives the skin a slightly luminescent quality.
