Waxelene Detoxifying Mud Mask Review

Press Sample (Affiliate Links)

There really is nothing quite like a good mud mask to draw out oil and dirt trapped in the pores, and for me they are especially effective in the warmer weather when I spend a lot of time outdoors. Waxelene Detoxifying Mud Mask is a dry clay mask that you mix with water, and it couldn't be easier to use. Each 3 oz jar contains 36+ mud masks in a glass jar, and you only scoop out and mix the amount that you need per use. This mask only contains four ingredients– Bentonite (Bentonite Clay), Kaolinite (Dead Sea Clay), Charcoal Powder (Activate Carbon), Mixed Tocopherol Powder (Natural Vitamin E Powder)– and it is gentle enough for use by people with sensitive skin. After mixing the dry mask with water, simply apply the desired amount to clean skin and leave it on for anywhere between 5-15 minutes. I let the mask dry thoroughly, and then I rinse it off with warm water and an ultra gentle cleanser to remove any last bits of the mask. The result is clean skin and pores and a beautiful luminosity. It is effective and gentle, and does not dry out or irritate my normal/combination skin (that can be sensitive at times). Waxelene is a cruelty-free brand.

According to Waxelene,

Say goodbye to oily, dirty skin. The Detoxifying Mud Mask is specially formulated to remove toxin build-up on the skin and leave a glowing complexion.

The Detoxifying Mud Mask is a dry blend of exotic clays with activated charcoal for a deep pore cleansing ritual!

This natural mud mask is chemical free and hypoallergenic. It is safe for all skin types including sensitive, eczema and psoriasis-prone skin.

The Detoxifying Mud Mask is made of just four natural ingredients that provide a balanced facial treatment. The minerals revitalize skin cells while the negatively charged ions bind to toxins, oils, and dirt, then pull them from deep skin pores. The result? Fresh, clean, soft, glowing skin.

Our mud masks are free of chemical preservatives, irradiation and essential oils. That means they are safe for all skin types including sensitive, eczema and psoriasis-prone skin.

Ingredients: Bentonite (Bentonite Clay), Kaolinite (Dead Sea Clay), Charcoal Powder (Activate Carbon), Mixed Tocopherol Powder (Natural Vitamin E Powder).

Directions: Mixing Instructions: In a separate bowl or jar, add 2 spoonfuls of water to 1 spoonful of Mask Powder. Stir thoroughly and add tiny amounts of water or powder to reach your desired consistency.

Application instructions: Apply the wet mixture to your face or any other part of the body, avoiding the eyes, nose, and mouth. Let dry for 5-15 minutes. Rinse off with a gentle facial cleanser and fresh warm water.

Overall Assessment: I am a huge fan of excellent quality mud masks, but many can be harsh and can strip the skin. This one, on the other hand, is effective, gentle and non-stripping.
