René Furterer Astera Fresh Soothing Freshness Serum Review

Purchased (Affiliate Links)

René Furterer Astera Fresh Soothing Freshness Serum is a product that I purchased during the summer because I noticed that my scalp was a little irritated after long days outdoors– either from wearing a hat, or from exposure to the elements when I wasn't wearing a hat. There was no flaking, but just a little itch, and when I saw this product on the René Furterer website, I decided to pick up a tube during one of their fantastic sales.

The first thing that I noticed was how refreshing, cooling and calming the Peppermint and Eucalyptus essential oils were on my scalp, and that was immediate. It is an ultra-lightweight serum that sinks in immediately and gets right to work. I only needed to use it a couple of times a week for a couple of weeks, and it did exactly what I needed it to do. The irritation and itching went away, and my scalp felt normal again. I still have nearly a full tube, and I will continue to reach for it should my scalp feel irritated or itchy again. It does what it says, and it's incredibly pleasant and refreshing to use.

According to René Furterer,

This lightweight leave-in treatment features Asteraceae extract, Peppermint and Eucalyptus essential oils, Cimentrio Complex and vitamins to instantly soothe and cool irritated, itchy scalps while helping to reduce inflammation.

  1. Oh, I didn't know that Furterer had fantastic sales! I will keep an eye out. I've been reading so much about scalp health lately that it makes sense to use a scalp serum from time to time.
