Empties January 2020

Purchased and Press Samples (Affiliate Links)

It's hard to believe that January is almost over! I somehow thought that I had used up more products this month, but what I can say is that I really loved everything that I did use up!
RODIN Olio Lusso Geranium & Orange Blossom Face Oil ($170.00 for 1 oz. and $89.00 for .50 oz. from NordstromBarneys New YorkNeiman MarcusBeautyhabit Amazon StoreBergdorf Goodmanb-glowingCredo BeautyLiberty LondonRevolveSpringSaks Fifth AvenueCosBar and Shop Bazaar): This is a lightweight antioxidant-rich, remarkably fast absorbing and ultra nourishing oil. It immediately hydrates even the most parched and dehydrated skin– leaving it baby soft, smooth, supple and seriously luminous. It is effective for all types of skin, and has been an extraordinary treat for my normal/combination skin. The aroma is utterly enchanting. It is the perfect balance between the Geranium and the Orange Blossom, and it is neither too sweet, nor too citrusy. Instead, it is deep, rich and warm it reveals a touch of spice. It is hypnotic, delectable and truly divine. Purchase Again? I already have a fresh new bottle open!
L'Occitane Iris Bleu & Iris Blanc Perfumed Soap: This creamy and moisturizing soap smells utterly divine and it feels amazing on the skin. Purchase Again? I would in a second, but I think that it has been discontinued.

Farmhouse Fresh Moon Dip Back to Youth Ageless Body Mousse ($32.00 for an 8 oz. glass jar from Farmhouse Fresh): is a truly luscious and luxurious ultra-rich body mousse, with a light and fluffy texture, that is formulated to use from your neck to your toes. It is very emollient and deeply nourishing and moisturizing, and yet it melts into the skin effortlessly and leaves behind no greasy residue. Filled with ingredients such as retinol, peptides, aloe vera and jojoba seed oil, this mousse boasts an anti-aging formula that leaves skin deeply hydrated, baby soft, silky smooth and supple. It has a delicious aroma that Farmhouse Fresh calls a "light milk oat scent" that is sweet, creamy and milky. This is a body mousse to be savored, and it is a delight to use. Purchase Again? Absolutely!
SHU UEMURA Art of Hair Urban Moisture Hydro-Nourishing Double Serum ($38.00 for 3.3 oz. from Shu Uemura Art of Hair): This leave-in hair serum is a dual-phase formula that requires a vigorous shaking to integrate the ingredients for maximum efficacy. You simple spritz it on damp freshly washed hair, and towel-dried, hair and let it work its magic. I immediately noted that it moisturized my hair leaving it manageable, frizz-free and soothed. I also note that my hair is shiny, silky smooth and soft. Purchase Again? Yes!

SHU UEMURA Essence Absolue Nourishing Protective Oil Nourishing Protective Oil ($69.00 for 5 oz. from Shu Uemura Art of Hair): This is a fantastic hair oil that is infused with camellia oil to nourish, moisturize and smooth hair. It eradicates dry hair, fights frizz, and protects against UV damage. It feels silky smooth, adds shine, and smells utterly delectable! Purchase Again? Definitely!

Maple Holistics Silk18 Natural Hair Conditioner ($9.75-$16.75 for 8oz.-16oz. from Maple Holistics and Maple Holistics Amazon Store): is a lightweight, yet very nourishing conditioner that leaves hair manageable, hydrated, soft, frizz-free, smooth and shiny. It works exceedingly well for my dry curly hair, and the warm and creamy vanilla aroma is utterly delectable. Purchase Again? Definitely! This is my second bottle, and I am about to purchase another!
Overall Assessment: While I only used up 6 full-size products, they were all highly coveted winners for me! What did you use up, toss out, give away or return this month? Do tell!

  1. Using up 6 full size products is very admirable! I don’t think I used up that much in January coz I finished so much in December. I love the FHF Moon Dip body cream.

    1. Thanks, Allison! I always hope to finish more than I do, but I am really trying to use up things that I love before they begin to lose potency (or worse yet, they turn). The FHF Moon Dip Body Mousse really is incredible!

  2. You did a great job since they are all full size. I think the Silk 18 shampoo and conditioner are excellent. I haven't used any of the others.

    1. Thanks, Marcia! Their Silk 18 conditioner is fantastic. I don't have their shampoo from that collection, but have tried others from the brand.

  4. The FHF jar is recyclable/upcyclable. What do you with these nice looking jars like it?

    1. It is definitely a wonderful reusable glass jar. I tend to repurpose the nice ones, like this, but once I accumulate too many, I tend to recycle them.

  5. Well done, Lola, you finished so many beautiful things! I spy a few personal favorites there, namely the Moon Dip and Olio Lusso.
