I looked long and hard to find some bedding that I really liked and that would look great in my room and on my new mattress and platform bed. I was also far too busy at work to spend time going from store to store in search of what I was looking for. Therefore, I shopped online and purchased what I liked sight unseen. While this doesn't always work out well, I can say that in this case, it really did. I happened to check Macy's, since I have had some luck with their bedding, and because we had just purchased the Saatva Loom & Leaf 12" Relaxed Firm Mattress (Reviewed HERE) from them. Additionally, everything that I wanted was on sale, and therefore I couldn't resist making these purchases.
Madison Park Linnette 3-Pc. King/California King Coverlet Set (Regularly $170.00. Sale $84.99. Extra 30% off $59.49 Use code: VIP. Sale ends 9/22/19): I love the way that this coverlet set looks and feels. It has enough weight to keep you warm, but it is slim enough that it tucks in without making the platform bed look bulky.

According to Macy's,

Simple and elegant, the Madison Park Linnette 3 Piece Coverlet Set offers a luxuriously comfortable update to your bedroom. This Cream quilted coverlet and matching shams feature two distinct quilting patterns that create an alluring textural look. A geometric design alternates with a circlet ogee pattern for added dimension and charm, while the prewashed fabric providing incredible softness and comfort.

Madison Park Liquid Cotton King Blanket (Regularly $140.00. Sale $97.99. Extra 30% off $68.59 Use code: VIP. Sale ends 9/22/19): I have to confess that the "liquid cotton" designation had me quite intrigued. It is a very high quality 100% cotton blanket that is very soft against the skin. Between this, the sheet and the coverlet we are plenty warm at night, but I suspect that we will need another blanket once the weather cools down.

According to Macy's,

Cozy up in one of the softest cotton blankets on the market. We take the highest quality cotton and spin it into a very smooth and soft material that we call Liquid Cotton. This blanket's cotton material virtually eliminates pilling and snagging to give you a lasting blanket that you will not have to replace year after year. Our Liquid Cotton blanket has reduced shrinkage compared to other cotton blankets. Cotton naturally wicks away moisture and is breathable which helps regulate your temperature at night, giving you year round comfort.

- Dimensions: 108" x 90"
- Eliminates pilling, snagging and shrinkage
- Durable and long-lasting
- Use it alone or layer it on a comforter for extra warmth
- All cotton

Westport Solid Organic 4-Pc. King Sheet Set, 500 Thread Count GOTS Certified Cotton (Regularly $170.00. Sale $99.99. Extra 30% off  $69.99. Use code: VIP. Sale ends 9/22/19): I would say that these sheets were the biggest gamble since we were purchasing them sight unseen. That the thread count is 500 and the cotton is 100% certified organic gave me the incentive that I needed to try them out.  I am glad that I did, and am going to buy a second set. The cotton is soft and very comfortable against the skin. I have washed them numerous times, and they are holding up very well.

According to Macy's, "Cozy up to the soft feel of this 500-thread count solid king sheet set, crafted of organic cotton."

- Fabric: 100% Organic Cotton, Thread Count: 500
- Set includes: king flat sheet (108" x 102"), king fitted sheet (78" x 80" x 15") and two king pillowcases (20" x 40")

  1. That cotton blanket looks so soft & comfy! We love cotton blankets for under our comforter.

    1. It is a really wonderful blanket, and perfect under a comforter. I highly recommend it– especially since it is on sale!

  2. My favorite sheets are ones I bought from Macy's when I got my new mattress. I need a duvet cover because of the shedding and drooling from my "little" 100 pound dog and they don't make a matching one. I love your coverlet set, that would match my bedroom perfectly. I wonder if I can throw it in the washing machine.

    1. Macy's has some really wonderful bedding, and I am not at all surprised that your favorite sheets for your new Avocado mattress came from them! Ah yes, a duvet is a great idea to deal with your shedding tiny dog :-). This coverlet set is AWESOME. It is so nice that I smile just about every time that I look at it. Yes, you can throw it in the washing machine. I washed mine before I used it, and it held up perfectly without incident. It would also be an easier dog hair fix than a duvet (since you won't have to remove it from your comforter ever single time that you need to wash it!

  3. I love cotton bedding! I need stuff that breathes in Florida as it gets hot here.

    1. I completely agree with you, and while we don't generally have the type of humidity that you have it does get quite hot in LA as well. Cotton bedding is definitely the way to go!

  4. This looks sooo cozy!!! I also really like grey bedding. for some reason it's dreamy to me

    1. It is super cozy, Miranda! I love grey bedding too, I think that it is dreamy too!
