Boxwalla October Box: Dream a Little Dream of Me (Cost: $49.95. Retail Value: $180.00 for 1.7 oz.): This is a full-sized African Botanics Le Masque Hydralift Intense in the October box.
According to African Botanics,

An innovative serum-strength intensive mask that is specifically designed to instantly increase moisture levels, replenish, lift, restructure, firm, smooth and energize the skin while providing mitochondrion protection and epidermal regeneration.

Promotes intensive hydration with dynamic concentrations of advanced ingredients: micro and mini Hyaluronic Acids, South African Aloe Ferox, fermented Yeast, Saccharides, Resurrection Plant and Mallow. Together with African adaptogenic plants, this mask draws multi-level hydration, helps fortify the skin’s barrier while feeding the skin at a deeper level. Instant or overnight use. Designed for all skin types. Can be used everyday or occasionally to help lift, plump, soothe and revitalize.

Powered by a unique combination of highly advanced and active marine glycobiology with oligo-elements, water-binding Red Seaweed, micronutrient-rich Microalga Glucans, Laminaria Algae and Chlorella Sorokiniana. The ground-breaking complex of Kappaphycus alvarezii (Algae) and Caesalpinia Spinosa (thorny shrub) is obtained without the use of any chemicals, it creates a mesh-like “second skin”, that acts as a non-occlusive barrier against pollutants, irritants and allergens while preserving the natural barrier function of the skin. Applied to the skin, Le Masque Hydralift Intense imparts instant lifting, firming, contouring, smoothing the skin’s surface and reducing the appearance of pores, lines and wrinkles. It also works to preserve the natural barrier function of the skin, ensuring that trans-epidermal water loss (TEWL) is reduced so that skin maintains its moisture levels.
Key Benefits:
- Driven by advanced Marine biochemistry and African adaptogenic medicinal plants.
- Provides optimized hydration and improves moisture retention.
- Helps contour, lift, plump and firm.
- Helps restore lost moisture.
- Antioxidant protection and anti-pollution benefits.
- Brightens with stabilized Vitamin C and Niacinamide.

Skin Type: Designed for dry, dehydrated, dull, tired, thirsty, sun damaged and stressed-out skin.
Formulation: fluid hydrogel-serum texture.

I have made no secret about my devotion for African Botanics skincare– it remains my very favorite, and most-coveted, skincare brand. If I had to choose a single skincare brand, and forsake all others, there would be no hesitation in my choice. Therefore the pairing of my favorite skincare brand with my favorite green beauty box is nothing short of the perfect collaboration.

African Botanics Le Masque Hydralift Intense, which is one of their newest launches, is a revelation in face masks. It is formulated to lift, plump, soften the appearance of pores, fine lines and wrinkles, maintain moisture levels, prevent Trans-Epidermal Water Loss, and scavenge free-radicals. Furthermore, it leaves skin baby soft, supple, unbelievably smooth, and with a pronounced radiance and clarity seldom achieved in a single product. It can be used as a rinse off mask with great results, but if you really want to see what it is capable of, then use it as an overnight sleeping mask. Trust me, you won't ever want to use another sleeping mask again!

This nourishing gel-like serum is emollient and lightweight, with a glorious velvety texture, and it melts into the skin in the most luxurious way imaginable. This is eco-luxe, and cruelty-free, beauty at its finest, and African Botanics is the gold standard against which all other green beauty brands should be measured. Additionally, it has the most sumptuous aroma informed by the Rosa Centifolia– therefore if you love the smell of roses you will be utterly enchanted by this aromatic delight.
Directions: After cleansing and toning, apply a thick layer to clean dry or moist face and neck with fingertips or a brush. Massage in and allow the mask to infuse skin for 15-20 minutes then rinse. For best results may also be left on overnight. Use as a thin layer mixed with a few drops of oil for extra nourishment. Mild pilling is to be expected as some of the ingredients create a non-occlusive “second-skin” barrier.

  1. Is there a way to purchase just the October box? $50 for an effective mask that sells for $180 is a terrific deal.

    1. Yes, if you go to their website you will see a tab at the top that says, "The Boxes" where it offers subscription boxes and "One-Time Boxes." This isn't up there yet because priority is given to subscriptions, but it is very easy to cancel (see the bottom of this post). I imagine that this lovely mask will appear in the One-Time Boxes category– unless it sells out first.

    1. It definitely is an ultra-luxe eco brand, but the products are revolutionary, and worth it. Their products tend to be quite concentrated, and last a very long time.

  5. If I'm not swimming in skincare products, I would've checked them out
