Press Release (Affiliate Links)

Boxwalla enthusiasts know that their green beauty boxes are an extraordinary value, and that the products themselves are nothing short of spectacular. Their carefully curated beauty boxes are a tremendous value, with steep discounts, and they feature truly covet-worthy luxury organic beauty products.

I know that many of you have been waiting for my review of the Boxwalla's April Beauty Box, and are intrigued by its theme is: The Chronicles of a Plant Lab, and I have to say that it is a delight! This box includes two full size products from Twelve Beauty that are perfect for the season and that deliver a gorgeous  radiant complexion (Retail Value: $182.00).

Here are some details about the Twelve Beauty founder, Pedro Catala:

Pedro grew up in a rural village in Spain, where natural remedies were the norm for everything, from stomach ailments, headaches to even a broken heart. This complete reliance on the local flowers, seeds & leaves for everything, inspired Pedro to want to understand medicines, as well as the role of plants in them. To this end, he studied Pharmacy, followed by Botany. While working as a pharmacist at a private oncology clinic & interacting with the patients, he realized he wanted to apply his botanical knowledge to skincare that could help soothe & support stressed & sensitive skin. So he got a Masters in Cosmetic Science & eventually a PhD in Natural Skincare Formulation. Now, he blends in Spain, teaches at the University of Siena in Italy and lives in London.
This box includes two products created by Dr. Pedro Catala of Twelve Beauty:
1) Twelve Beauty London Mask (full size, $92.00)
2) Twelve Beauty Ideal Brightening Corrective Serum (full size, $90.00)
Twelve Beauty London Mask (full size, $92.00): This is a really beautiful face mask that is gentle enough for all skin types, and that nourishes and hydrates the skin while drawing out toxins and impurities. While it helps to clear out clogged pores, it does so without drying out the skin, or leaving it taut. It is unusual because most masks that include kaolin tend not to be moisturizing, but this one is, and it leaves the skin beautifully radiant, purified, hydrated, silky smooth and soft. It has a lovely creamy texture, with a very light natural aroma, and while it does dry down in never feels drying against the skin.

About The London Mask,

The London Mask is a tribute to the city he now calls home, London and was especially crafted to combat the damaging effects of pollution on the skin. Pedro hand blends this mask,  over three days to achieve the smooth luscious texture that ensures that all the nourishing, moisturizing ingredients stay on the outer surface of the emulsion and thereby in better contact with the skin. This mask contains kaolin clay to gently draw out impurities, olive derived squalane and organic rice starch to moisturize as well as plant extracts like mallow as well as the purest form of Vitamin B5. This mask is both hydrating and purifying.

Twelve Skincare’s The London Mask suits for people on post surgery care, people with stressed skin and lack of elasticity and hydration and those wishing more light and improve skin tone.

Directions: Apply to clean skin twice a week. Leave on for 10-15 minutes and rise off.
Note: Due to the manual blending of the ingredients, the color may vary in every batch.

  1. This box is such an amazing value! And the texture of the mask looks very intriguing. I have seen a few brands being able to pull off a hydrating mask with kaolin, but you are right, it's very rare. It's really the sign of a well balanced formula!
