I am a big fan of Derma-E, and have had nothing but success with their products that I have used over the years. Their products are safe, effective, cruelty-free, easily accessible, and surprisingly affordable. My latest loves from them, the Derma-E Essentials Nourishing Rose Cleansing Oil and Derma-E Essentials Microdermabrasion Scrub, are perfectly paired for soft and smooth skin, and I simply couldn't be happier with them.
Derma-E Essentials Nourishing Rose Cleansing Oil ($15.99-$17.99 for 2 oz. from Derma-E, Ulta, Derma-E Amazon Store, Dermstore and Skin Care RX): First I must preface what's to come by stating that this cleansing oil has the most delectable rose aroma that smells good enough to wear as a perfume– it is utterly glorious, and it transforms the act of cleansing one's skin from the ordinary to the extraordinary. That said, if you either dislike the smell of roses, or avoid aromatic skincare products, then this cleansing oil might not be the best fit for you.

I simply apply a small amount to my dry face and neck, massage it in for a few seconds and then either rinse it off, or remove it with a warm, damp, plush wash cloth. Unlike many of my cleansing oils, this one does not emulsify when it comes into contact with water. What I find remarkable is the extent to which this cleansing oil thoroughly cleans the skin and leaves it incredibly soft, smooth, supple and hydrated.

According to Derma-E,

This essence of rose cleansing oil dissolves away long-lasting makeup and impurities, while nourishing skin with beautifying oils.

Argan Oil delivers a concentrated boost of intense antioxidant-rich moisture to lock in essential hydrating for a healthy tone, renewed texture and exceptional suppleness. Jojoba Oil provides moisture to dry skin while helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by promoting healthy cell renewal. Cleansing oils are great for all skin types, especially oily skin because they help to maintain skin's natural balance, removing skin of bad oils and leaving good natural oils. Your skin will be left feeling healthy, nourished and soft.

Directions: Gently massage a dime sized amount onto dry face and neck. Using a warm damp cloth, wipe the oil from your skin. Use in the morning and evening.

Ingredients: Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (Plant Derived), Organic Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Organic Argania Spinosa (Argan) Kernel Oil*, Polyglyceryl-2 Caprate, Polyglyceryl-2 Sesquioleate, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Natural Fragrance Oils.
Derma-E Essentials Microdermabrasion Scrub ($32.50 for 2 oz. from Derma-E, Ulta, Amazon, Dermstore, TargetWalgreens and Skin Care RX): This exfoliator suspends tiny, and densely populated, exfoliating particles in a creamy base that has enough grit to sweep away dead skin cells effortlessly. The formula is gentle, effective, and non-stripping. Skin is left soft, silky smooth, supple and refreshed. It is a very concentrated formula– therefore this 2 oz. jar should last a very long time unless you are using it on your face and body. It can also be used on your hands, elbows, heels knees– or anywhere you need to exfoliate rough skin. It has a very light aroma with a slight hint of citrus, but it isn't in the least bit cloying or long-lasting.

According to Derma-E,

This fine-textured crystal blend buffs away dullness and smooths the look of fine lines, wrinkles, roughness and acne scars for a healthier, more youthful radiance. This salon-perfect formula uses an exclusive crystal blend including Dead Sea Salt to help buff away dull surface cells, help to diminish the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and acne scars, and absorb excess skin oils. Enriched with natural astringents Lime and Lemon Peel plus antioxidants Grape seed and Vitamin E, this pro-grade treatment re-textures skin, leaving it soft, smooth and younger-looking. May also be used on your hands, elbows, knees, heels or any part of the body to promote soft, smooth and healthy skin. Ideal if you're looking for immediate results from a salon-perfect treatment in the privacy of your own home.  Please note: The crystal blend used in this product is a large molecular structure and is therefore not bio-available to the body, so there is no possibility of absorption through the skin.

Directions: Use twice a week. Apply to wet skin. Gently scrub desired areas in circular motion for up to 1 minute. For sensitive skin, less pressure is recommended. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Pat dry.

Ingredients: Purified Water, Aluminum Oxide, Stearyl Alcohol (Plant Derived), Stearic Acid (Vegetable Derived), Glyceryl Stearate Citrate (Vegetable Derived), Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Oil, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Carrageenan (Seaweed Derived), Kaolin (Clay), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Organic Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Pumice, Maris Sal (Dead Sea Salt), Glycerin (Vegetable Derived), Glyceryl Stearate SE, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Xanthan Gum, Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin.
Overall Assessment: If you have not yet tried Derma-E products, I highly recommend giving them a try. If you are seeking a high quality and affordable cleansing oil or face scrub, these two are definitely worthy of your attention.

  3. I love these two products and Derma E, all around. I'm busily using up a couple of firming creams that cost a pile of money so that I can buy myself a new jar of the Derma E. Yeah... It's better, in my opinion than firming creams that cost two hundred dollars.

  5. While I won't use the Rose Cleansing Oil I'd use the microderm in a second. Lisa absolutely loves it and she doesn't rave about exfoliating items often.
