Overall assessment: The January box offered a nice selection of products that perfectly addressed the needs of winter skin begging for renewal and nourishment. It was definitely worth the $12.00 price tag, and the bonus mirror was a nice addition.

the epic blend lip balm intrigues me but ordering from them makes it less cost effective since they're shipping from canada. how do you feel like it compares with some of the other more accessible brands such as alba or burt's bees? i've been looking for a more natural alternative to my HG elizabeth arden 8hr but so far nothing has come close
ReplyDeleteThe Epic balm is really nice-- it's very emollient and comfortable on the lips. I haven't had a burt's bees lip balm in so long that I can't remember how it felt well enough. Of the natural and more accessible brands that I have used recently-- Weleda is the only one that comes to mind. Weleda is comparatively thicker with less glide. If Epic has prohibitively expensive shipping costs then I would wait until they are more accessible. I love the Weleda Balm as well. Also for a more natural balm Osmia Organics makes one of the best that I have tried! It's so good, in fact-- that you may not even miss your HG 8 Hour Cream! :-)
