Mario Badescu Peptide Renewal Serum Review

I am a huge fan of Mario Badescu products because they are easy and pleasant to use, and because this is a company the always makes good on product claims. If anything, Mario Badescu understates the efficacy of their products-- and for this reason there is always a very pleasant surprise when you realize that their products always exceed expectations. If you weren't already aware, be advised that their serums stand up to the best of them on the market!

Mario Badescu Peptide Renewal Serum was formulated to:

Target very dry and mature skin with this soothing blend of youth-boosting peptides and botanicals. This blend of Peptides and Sorghum Bicolor Stalk Juice work together to help encourage a smoother, more lifted and toned appearance while White Willow Bark keeps dull, lackluster skin at bay—all contributing to a clear, radiant and youthful complexion. Chamomile Extract, Yarrow Extract and Aloe Vera are also included to help soothe even the most sensitive skin types while Green Tea acts as a powerful antioxidant.

It is no secret that Peptides are all the buzz in the realm of anti-aging skincare, and Mario Badescu explains is in clear and concise terms.

MIMICKING YOUNGER SKIN WITH PEPTIDE SKIN CARE PRODUCTS:

What is it that makes young skin appear so firm, taut and smooth? The answer is Collagen, the structural protein found in the connective tissues of the body. Collagen, which makes up 75% of the skin, is crucial for the appearance of youthfulness; this naturally-occurring substance makes the skin strong, plump and smooth.

Peptides are amino acids that make up the proteins in the skin. They become proteins when they form a long chain of amino acids. However, when peptides are in a short chain of amino acids, they have the ability to penetrate the upper layer of the skin and signal the cells to tell them how to function. In battling the signs of aging, it’s important to incorporate peptide creams and peptide serums in order to help encourage the skin to rebuild lost Collagen.

The Peptide Renewal Serum is an advanced concentrate of peptides and botanicals (Aloe Vera, Chamomile, Green Tea, Nori Extract and Sage just to name a few). Call it a luxe cocktail, if you will, that serves to help firm and repair the complexion. Not only will it enhance any moisturizer applied afterwards, but will also instantly hydrate, smooth and eventually help lift the complexion.

Two of the best peptides for skin care are Palmitoyl Oligopeptide and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7.

Palmitoyl Oligopeptide is known for considerably stimulating the collagen production in cells that provide structure to connective tissues. These results are seen when this particular peptide is used for a significant amount of time, encouraging firmer skin.

Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 boosts anti-aging skin care regimens by helping reduce the inflammatory response in the skin. It is also thought to reduce the damage inflicted by exposure to pollution, ultraviolet light and other factors that are known to stress the skin.

These peptides help prevent the visible effects of collagen loss and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by working synergistically in serums and creams.

HOW TO USE: Before moisturizing, add 1-2 drops to the face, neck and décolletage. For best results, use both day and night.
While the Mario Badescu Peptide Renewal Serum was, in large part, formulated to target very dry and mature skin, and I have combination skin that neither leans dry nor mature- I found an instant friend in this serum! I find that it deeply hydrates, smooths and lifts the skin on my face and décolleté. I do have some sun damage on my décolleté that appears infinitely less damaged since I began slathering this serum on the damaged area. Overall I find that my skin is more radiant, firm, even-toned, and that it boasts a greater clarity.  The serum feels wonderful, silky smooth and comforting on the skin, and it sinks in quickly and gets right to work. This lovely serum will most definitely be a staple to get me though the colder winter months when my skin needs added hydration and moisture! I have even employed rather unorthodox means of using this serum by adding a couple of drops to my foundation or tinted moisturizer, and the result is even more luminous healthy skin. This serum is just amazing!

It is also filled with anti-oxidants that work hard to scavenge free-radicals that damage and age the skin. Perhaps one of the greatest surprises is that this serum does what so many other serums only claim to do, and it does so at a fraction of the price.
