Cleopatra's Choice- 100% Organic Argan Oil from Morocco REVIEW

I have long been a proponent of nourishing oils for the face, body and hair-- and have used various combinations for many years. Argan oil has been among my favorites for a very long time. Therefore, I was delighted to try the Argan Oil from Cleopatra's Choice.
According to Cleopatra's Choice: This all-natural oil comes from the Argan tree and has been praised for the health benefits it can offer to moisturize dry skin and hair. Many individuals are surprised to discover just how many benefits there are while using this product.

From conditioning dry hair and reducing frizzy hair to treating skin blemishes and blotches on the face, it has lovingly been called the Tree of Life.

You can safely use this product to help prevent stretch marks and help add elasticity to the skin. The Argan trees are located in Morocco where individuals have realized the multiple benefits that this oil can provide for many different ailments.

Because it is organic, you can safely use it to moisturize and hydrate your skin and nails. It works wonders for the skin and hair as it softens and conditions very quickly. Because this oil can offer so many health benefits, it remains a much sought after product, even today.

Some benefits of this product include:
Improves condition of hair, reducing frizziness
Great for skin around the nails
Safely and effectively moisturizes dry skin
Safe for all skin types

One of the things that I particularly like about this Argan oil is the fact that it doesn't have an overpowering or pungent smell- which can be a deal breaker when applying it to the face or hair- where one would remain more aware of a lingering scent. In fact it is quite faint in color- so despite my best efforts to photograph it is my hand-- all I really ended up with was a moist looking palm.

I have used Cleopatra's Choice Argan Oil in the following ways:

1) I applied a small amount to the palm of my hands- rubbed my hands together vigorously to warm up the oil and then apply it to my nearly dry clean hair. This works like a dream on my naturally curly hair, and not only does it tame frizzies and fly-aways, but it also moisturizes my hair and gives it a gorgeous shine. For those of you with naturally curly hair-- you know that it isn't the easiest task to achieve shiny locks unless you are using lots of silicone- based products. Therefore this is a lovely treat.

2) I have applied it sparingly at night to my face and neck. Once again warming a small amount in my hands before massaging it into my skin. The following morning my skin looks gorgeous and glowing. I have combination skin, and I have not broken out- in fact it has helped heal any breakouts.

3) I have mixed some in with my regular daily moisturizer, and it really softens and moisturizes my skin.

4) I put some in a small bottle and mixed in a few drops of natural fragrant oils and used it as a homemade nourishing scented body oil. This is such a great delivery system for customizing your own fragrances, and it's healthy.

5) I have been applying it daily to my dry bit-- my elbows and feet particularly, and it is a very very effective moisturizer.
Overall assessment: This is high quality 100% organic Argan oil, and the price is quite good-- particularly since you get a full 4 oz. bottle. I don't know how long the sale will last, but if you are in the market for Argan Oil-- this one is worth your consideration. I'm so pleased with this product that I want to further investigate Cleopatra's Choice to see what other fabulous goodies they have!

Reg. $44.00 4 oz. bottle on sale for $29.95 from Cleopatra's Choice

  3. Aw I'm so envious of you. I LOVE the idea of using oils on my face--but unfortunately, most oils don't love me back. I tried a deluxe sample of Josie Maran's argan oil and it broke me out badly :/ I was so disappointed--I so wanted it to work out

    1. You know, there is a fabulous natural oil that is formulated for oily skin types-- I used it for years-- and I have combination skin. Take a look at Suki Pure Facial Moisture Balancing-- it is formulated for acne prone skin, combination to oily skin and sensitive skin-- and it is recommended for nighttime use. It is vegan and cruelty free, and you can get it at many Whole Foods Markets.

  4. I use almond oil in conjunction with my daily moisturizer. Do you find that argan oil is more effective than almond oil?

    1. Hi Kathysue!! I have never used almond oil alone-- only mixed into some marvelous concoction of other oils that my mom mixed up (evening primrose, jojoba, argan etc.). So I really can't give you a good assessment of how argan oil compares to almond oil alone. It might be worth doing a side to side comparison to see which yields better results. I am a huge fan of argan oil though. Have a lovely weekend!

    1. Thank you!! I think that you will find that this is good for so many things-- it's also great on cuticles and feet. It is amazing on the hair, though. I'm so surprised that your hair is difficult-- in every picture that I have ever seen of you your hair looks perfect. Mine, on the other hand-- is naturally curly prone to frizzies and fly-aways!! Mine definitely requires taming!!

  6. I love argan oil. I've been using Purelement Naturals' argan oil for 2 years and my skin has never looked better. You can always give it an extra boost by adding organic essential oils. I have thick, unruly hair and I don't like putting anything with chemicals in it, so I put argan oil on my hair and it controls the frizziness and makes it shine like no other.

    1. Hi Gia! I agree with you completely. Argan oil is amazing! I try to use as few chemicals in my hair as possible-- well, I could use even fewer than I do. I agree with you about the merits of using argan oil in the hair. I have naturally curly hair that can be quite unruly at times, and argan oil works wonders for smoothing my hair and giving it a lovely shine. It definitely controls my frizziness as well-- which alone is enough reason to love it!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
