As a major fan of all things Koh Gen Do, I have amassed a rather long list of their products that I covet. However, during this hot summer that we are having in Los Angeles, I am finding that there are three of their products that I am reaching for all of the time, and I thought that I would share them with you.
Koh Gen Do Cleansing Spa Water ($15.00-$56.00  for 3.38 oz.- 16.23 oz. from Koh Gen Do, Nordstrom, Barneys New York, Sephora, Dermstore, Revolve, Neiman Marcus, Spring and b-glowing): My eyes can be particularly sensitive when it comes to makeup and makeup removers, and I have even found many so-called gentle eye makeup removers to be very irritating for my eyes. Koh Gen Do's Cleansing Spa Water removes all traces of makeup and eye makeup without irritating sensitive eyes or skin, and it leaves the skin soft, clean and hydrated. On the nights that I am too tired to do my full skincare routine, I use this multi-tasker to clean my skin and remove all traces of makeup. Not only is it incredibly effective, but it neither strips the skin, nor does it leave behind an oily residue.

According to Koh Gen Do,

As gentle as removing makeup with pure water, Cleansing Spa Water relies on our signature blend of soothing thermal mineral water and conditioning botanical extracts to effectively dissolve even stubborn waterproof makeup with ease. Infused with six essential herbs including rosemary, sage and lavender to balance and nurture skin, this refreshing cleansing fluid also contains white birch sap to deeply replenish the complexion with brightening minerals. A makeup remover and gentle cleanser in one, this moisturizing formula leaves skin fresh and clean without any oily or tacky residue.

Features:
• Effectively removes makeup and purifies pores
• White birch sap, harvested for only three weeks in early spring, nourishes skin with minerals and xylitol
• Oil-free and alcohol-free
• No washing or rinsing required
• SPA Water moisturizes, protects and nurtures skin • For all skin types
• Not Tested on Animals
• Vegan (Manufactured where non-Vegan products are made)
• Formulated without Artificial Colors, Synthetic Fragrance, Mineral Oil derived from Petroleum

Directions: Apply on cotton pad. Place saturated cotton on area of makeup removal and hold for 3-5 seconds before wiping.

My preference has always been 100% cotton, and while I have tried a great many over the years, Koh Gen Do ranks as my very favorite. Their cotton pads are very thick, 100% Certified Organic cotton, and they are not chemically treated, bleached or subjected to fertilizers or pesticides. Furthermore, the Koh Gen Do 100% Pure Cotton Pads do not fall apart during use, they are soft against the skin, and they are an ultra- luxe pleasure to use.

Woven from 100% pure cotton that hasn’t been chemically treated, bleached or dyed, our extra-thick cotton pads provide the delicate care that sensitive skin requires. Made from cotton grown without chemical fertilizers and pesticides, these durable squares are extra soft. Use them to apply face moisturizer and makeup, wipe off cleansers, or saturate skin with our Oriental Plants Lotion as a cotton face mask.

Koh Gen Do Herbal Spa Mist ($45.00 for 3.38 oz. from Koh Gen Do, Nordstrom, Barneys New York, Neiman Marcus and b-glowing): This refreshing face misting spray is a wonderfully effective botanical blend that hydrates, calms and revitalizes the skin. It has an aroma that is informed by citrus, which is offset by Lavender, Eucalyptus and Rosemary, and this particular blend is a treat to the senses and the skin. It offers the skin a real pick-me-up during the warmer months of the year, and while I have been reaching for it daily this summer, it is undoubtedly something that I will enjoy using year round.

  1. When I saw Koh Gen Do at IMATS a long time ago I couldn't decide what to buy since everything seemed wonder. I did buy the Cleansing Spa Water which was around way before Micellar Water. You've got some great picks.
