LORAC Color Source Buildable Blush in Tinge and Spectra | Review

I love finely milled powder blushes that are soft and creamy in texture, and that glide across the skin effortlessly, and deposit color evenly. While I certainly don't need to collect any more blushes, I simply cannot resist the temptation of high quality and luxuriously smooth pinks and peachy shades, and this is precisely what I experienced from the moment I opened LORAC Color Source Buildable Blush in Tinge and Spectra. From the very first swatch I was exceedingly impressed by the ultra-finely milled texture that was soft and creamy to the touch. While these blushes are matte, they are neither flat, nor chalky. Instead, they impart a natural finish and the appearance of a youthful flush of color. While both shades are soft and natural when sheered out, they are buildable. That said, Tinge, which is a pale peachy nude can only build so far because it is a very light shade. Tinge and Spectra both spread across the skin with ease, deposit color evenly, and they neither settle into fine lines, nor do they emphasize pores.

Tinge is described as a matte nude shade, but I would characterize it as a beautiful, pale peachy nude.
Spectra is described as a matte pink, and I would only add that it is a slightly cool, mid-toned shade.
According to LORAC,

Instantly bring color and life to your cheeks with LORAC Color Source Buildable Blush. These silky-smooth matte and satin blushes are paraben-free and infused with anti-aging antioxidants such as pomegranate, acai and vitamins A, C & E. In a wide spectrum of complexion-enhancing hues, these buildable blushes can be worn sheer for a natural flush of color or layered for a dramatic effect. Become a beautiful, sensual source of color with LORAC.
Apply Color Source Buildable Blush onto the apples of cheeks for a natural flush of color. Build for a more dramatic effect.

  2. I'm a big Lorac fan, and these two shades are fabulous. I love that they are not too dark and don't need to be applied with a fan or stippling brush. So pretty for spring!

  6. Very pretty colors! I didn't expect that beautiful color payoff to come from the light peach color, but it looks great for fair skinned ladies. I like the Spectra for my medium skin tone.
