Exuviance Gentle Cleansing Creme | Review

Press Sample Provided by the Exuviance Brandbacker Campaign (Affiliate Links)

If you love good multipurpose facial cleansers that effectively remove every trace of makeup, oil and debris, and that also deeply and gently cleans the skin– then Exuviance Gentle Cleansing Cream is well worth your consideration. It is formulated for all skin types, and it is gently enough for even the most sensitive and delicate skin. It is, without question, the most soothing and calming cleanser in my collection. I have found that it is my most reached for cleanser during the cold winter weather that we have been experiencing lately because it is soothing and moisturizing, but it also calms irritated skin.

Exuviance Gentle Cleansing Creme is a very gentle, non-foaming and soap-free cream cleanser that is very rich, hydrating and emollient. It is neither in the least bit stripping, nor is it at all greasy. Instead, it thoroughly removes makeup, excess oils and dirt, and leaves the skin completely cleansed, soft, supple and hydrated.

Exuviance utilizes a special and unique Poly-Hydroxy Acid formula that leaves skin unbelievably silky smooth. Poly-Hydroxy Acid, or PHA as it is called, is a noted anti-aging ingredient that was chosen for its ability to improve the texture of the skin. Cucumber Fruit Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice and Chamomile Flower Extract soothe, comfort and hydrate the skin with great efficacy. The thoughtfully selected combination of ingredients was conceived and created by dermatologists, and the formula is Dye-Free, Paba-Free and allergy tested.

Incidentally, if you like using cleansing oils or balms before your regular cleanser, you can achieve with this one products what you do with those two products. I simply apply a little more than a dime size amount to my face, neck and décolleté and massage it upward in a circular motion. After about a minute, I rinse my face with warm water, and my skin is left notably soft and thoroughly cleansed. As previously noted, there is never a greasy film left– only velvety soft and hydrated skin. I prefer to remove this cleanser with warm water and then towel dry my face, but you can also tissue it off instead.

Directions: Use twice daily AM/PM Moisten hands and face. Dispense product onto fingertips and massage onto face and neck using an upward circular motion. Tissue off or rinse thoroughly with warm water, and pat dry.

Overall Assessment: I am not only impressed by this cleanser, but I have been reaching for it at least once a day since I began using it. This may not seem like much, but I have always been a lathering or foaming cleanser kind of girl– therefore a cream cleanser has to be exceptional for me to use it every day!

    1. Hi Melissa,

It really is! I am actually surprised how much I love this since I tend to prefer lathering cleansers! It's definitely well-worth trying! :-)

    1. It really is, Courtney! Not to mention that it will calm and soothe your skin if you have a Rosacea flare-up. I am really pleased with this cleanser, and I definitely tend to prefer lathering cleansers, and yet this is the one that I have been reaching for lately!

  3. Mine just arrived, but I haven't had a chance to try it yet. It sounds somewhat similar in terms of benefits to the NUDE Perfect Cleanse that I've been using. I love a cleanser that doesn't strip my skin and that also removes my makeup. You've got me excited to try mine out! Great review!

    1. I actually thought of you when i first tried this, Allison! I think that your dry skin will be in heaven, and the texture is so creamy and delicious! I haven't tried that NUDE Cleanser, but this one definitely won't strip your skin, and it will definitely remove your makeup.

  5. This sounds really great! Can it be used on the eyes as well? I really love cleansing balms and oils to remove my makeup because I can do it all at once - face and eyes. Either way, I'm sure this is fabulous!

    1. Hi Julie,

It definitely is a really nice cleanser. I tend to remove my eye makeup first with an eye makeup remover because I am not too find of having my mascara and eyeliner smear all over my face while I am cleansing it. I did, however, test it and was able to remove my eye makeup without having it irritate my sensitive eyes. I just prefer using my dual-phase eye makeup remover first, and then removing everything else with this.

  6. This sounds like a cleanser I think I would like. I have tried only a small handful of products from Exuviance and most of them work good with my sensitive skin. I think I'll check this one out too.

    1. I don't either, and frankly, as one who prefers lathering cleansers, I was surprised that I loved this one so much! I think part of the reason is that it is so effective, but it doesn't leave a greasy film behind like so many cream cleansers so on me.
