B. Kamins BB Cream- Review & Swatches

I must preface my review of the B. Kamins BB Cream by stating that I have had limited experience using BB Creams before trying this one, therefore a comparison is of little use. Prior to using this B. Kamins BB Cream, I tried a sample packet of a drugstore BB cream, and a sample tube of another by Estee Lauder- and neither worked well for me. Therefore, my impressions and assessment of this product are being evaluated in isolation rather than comparatively.

According to B. Kamins,

The BB Cream is an 8-in-1 multitasking cream that will instantly lift your look. This beauty balm is packed with anti-oxidants, vitamins and peptides.

Antioxidants vitamin C and green tea extract will fight damage caused by UV, stress and aging. Peptides and hyaluronic acid correct inconsistencies in skin texture, targeting sagging, dullness and wrinkles.

The BB Cream will provide sheer, luminous coverage with its light tint (suitable for all skin tones) moisturizing agents and light-reflecting particles. Get up and go with BB Cream!

B. Kamins asserts their BB. Cream is, "A multi-purpose skin primer/protector, with extensive age control benefits providing sheer luminous coverage that evens out skin tone."

Benefits: a) Transparent colour-correcting formula revitalizes skin’s appearance, b) Ideal for all skin types and skin tones, and c) Helps to firm the skin and smooth wrinkles with hexapeptide and hyaluronic acid.

My experience: BB Cream has a very nice thick and creamy consistency. It feels much more like a tinted moisturizer than a foundations, as one might expect. Unlike a tinted moisturizer, this BB Cream feels more emollient and more like a treatment product than like a traditional tinted moisturizer.  It has a very nice consistency, and it provides sheer luminous coverage, and is moisturizing and hydrating. It leaves my skin with a sheer dewy finish, and provides continuous hydration throughout the day. Initially I thought that it might be too rich for my combination skin, but I was delighted that it did not cause me to break out in the least bit. The coverage itself is light and breathable as one expects from tinted moisturizers, but with added skincare benefits. The formula and coverage are perfect for me since I prefer tinted moisturizers to foundations, and I prefer light to medium coverage that enhances the skin rather than obscures it. If you prefer full coverage foundations, then you will likely desire greater coverage. That said, this BB Cream will make a fantastic primer for those who prefer full coverage foundations.  The shade is quite light, but the coverage is so sheer that it will likely work across a variety of skin tones.

Overall assessment: I really love this BB Cream and have been reaching for it on a daily basis. I love the light luminous coverage, and am thrilled that it keeps my skin beautifully hydrated. If you prefer a more full coverage foundation, then I recommend this lovely product as a lightly tinted primer.
