June Empties for the Face, Body & Hair

Purchased & Press Sample (Affiliate Links)

In the month of June, I managed to finish 6 full-size products (2 for the hair, 2 for the face, 1 for the body and 1 from my makeup collection). Without question, I loved all of these products enough to finish every last bit, and I would happily use all of them again and again.
milk_shake Curl Passion Leave-In Spray: This leave-in is absolutely perfect for people with curly hair, like me! If you have curly or wavy hair then this may be a must-have for you, as it is for me. I have naturally curly hair, and it can be unruly at times, and therefore a reliable and effective leave-in spray is essential to keep my hair in great shape. It fights frizz, hydrates and leaves hair manageable. It doesn't weigh hair down, it doesn't flake, but instead it nourishes and it facilitates bouncy and perfected soft-to-the-touch curls. I always use leave-in treatments to make my hair manageable, and this one is definitely obsession-worthy. It also has a delectable fruity aroma that smells like summertime captured in a bottle!  milk_shake is a cruelty-free haircare brand that makes products for every type of hair, and after testing their Curl Passion range of products, I can emphatically state that this is a brand worth trying. Purchase Again? I just opened another bottle! ($28.00 for 10.1 oz. from milk_shake and Amazon)

Herbatint Permanent Haircolor Gel in Light Golden Chestnut 5D: For many years I used drugstore brand at-home hair dyes, but the last couple of times that I did I noticed that my scalp became dry and irritated. I decided to try something a little different, and I kept seeing Herbatint Permanent Hair Color Gel, and I decided to try it. This Italian brand, founded in 1970, is cruelty-free, vegan and it has a wide range of colors from which to choose. I have naturally curly dark brown hair that naturally lightens up in the summer, and therefore during the cooler months I tried their Light Chestnut 5N, and for the summer I tried their Light Golden Chestnut 5D, and both are stunning shades.

I mixed the hair color gel and the developer until it became a thick gel that was uniform in color. I carefully brushed it from roots to tips and then left it on for 40 minutes. This formula was tested on sensitive skin, and it definitely did not irritate, burn or tingle my scalp. I rinsed it out after 40 minutes and then applied their wonderful Royal Cream Conditioner– which comes with the hair color. This conditioner is lightweight and yet incredibly emollient and moisturizing. When I was done my hair was uniformly a gorgeous chestnut shade, but it was darker than on the box since my hair was quite dark to start with.

This formula neither dries out my scalp, nor my hair, and the color lasts for a few months before I need a touch up.

Herbatint encourages mixing shades to customize your hair color, and they also suggest that you can mix up just a small amount if you only need to do root-touch up. Whether you have any grey hair you seek to cover, or just roots that differ from the rest of your color, then just doing a root touch-up makes a lot of sense. I don't have much grey hair, but there are some strands here and there, and this does an excellent job of covering them. I simply use half the normal amount, as Herbatint suggests, and it works perfectly! Purchase Again? I already have! ($17.99 from AmazoniHerbWalmart)
The A Method Cleanse Silky Vitamin C (The A Method Amazon Store. I believe this was discontinued): This Antioxidant cleanser, with Vitamin C, leaves the skin clean, but not stripped, and it has a wonderful dense and creamy lather. I love the way that my skin feels after using this cleanser– hydrated and silky-smooth. Purchase Again? I found a new tube in my cabinet, but since I can't find it online, I suspect that it's either being reformulated, or that it was simply discontinued.

Dr. Althea 345 Relief Cream: This is an emollient gel cream, from this wonderful K-Beauty brand, that is ultra-lightweight and that immediately melts into the skin. It contains Niacinimide that reduces the appearance of dark spots and blemishes, but it is for all types of skin, not just people who are acne prone. It leaves skin soft, moisturized and radiant.

The Hyaluronic Acid provides deep and sustained hydration, and gently plumps fine lines. It is filled with soothing ingredients, such as Panthenol, that calm irritated skin– including breakouts. My skin isn't prone to acne, but it can get irritated, and this wonderful moisturizer really calms it down when my skin is reactive. I will also say that it is such a wonderful daily moisturizer during the summer since it is lightweight and thoroughly hydrating. Purchase Again? I would definitely buy this again, but I need to use up a lot of open tubes and jars of face cream first.
($27.00 for 1.69 oz. from Dr. AltheaiHerbStylevanaAmazon and YesStyle)
Trader Joe's Bergamot & Vetiver Scented Hand Soap: This was a limited-time hand soap, and it sold out. What an absolute delight this is, and I really hope that they bring it back. In fact, I went back to buy 3 more bottles before they sold out, and now have two left. This beautiful citrusy floral scent is such a treat to the senses, and rather than drying out my hands, they are left lightly moisturized. The last time that I went to the same Trader Joe's they didn't have any left, but I plan to try again to get a few more bottles before they are gone altogether. I hope that there is enough demand for this lovely liquid hand soap that Trader Joe's considers making it part of their regular collection of hand soaps! A+ Purchase Again? In a heartbeat! Fingers crossed that they bring it back! ($3.99 for 12 oz. from Trader Joe's)
Victoria Beckham Beauty Satin Kajal Liner in Cocoa: This brand makes my very favorite eyeliner pencils and their Bronze and Cocoa shades are my very favorite colors to wear daily. I think that the formula is absolutely superior to everything else on the market. They are creamy to the touch, ultra-pigmented, and once they set they do not budge. They are waterproof without being harsh, and they glide across the skin effortlessly, deposit color evenly and they do not bleed or feather. There is a sponge-tip applicator on each liner that allows you to smudge effortlessly, and you have enough time to smudge before the liners set. On me, these liners stay put until I remove them at the end of the day. Cocoa is aptly described as as, "a decadent rich matte brown"– and it is gorgeous!

Victoria Beckham Beauty is a cruelty-free brand, and these liners are infused with Vitamin E, hydrating pro-vitamin B5, and calming chamomile. They are quite kind and gentle to sensitive eyes like mine, and they can also be used on the waterline and for tight-lining. The colors are spectacularly beautiful independently, but they can also be blended to soften or intensify the lighter and darker shades, respectively. I like to wear several of them at the same time. For instance, I like to first line my upper and lower lids with a color such as Bronze, and then I smudge Black into my lash line to intensify the effect, but also to frame my eyes using a darker color in my lash line for a more stunning visual effect. is a decadent rich matte brown. Purchase Again? I already have! ($35.00 each from Victoria Beckham BeautybluemercuryNordstromNeiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman)
Overall Assessment: As I said, I would happily use all of these products again and again! What did you use up, toss out, give away, or return in June? Any amazing product discoveries? Any regrettable duds?

April 2025 Empties for the Face, Body & Hair

Purchased and Press Samples (Affiliate Links)

I think what perhaps surprised me the most in April was the fact that I was able to finish up both bottles of Renpure Body Wash! They were both in use for a little over a year, but I didn't expect to finish them up in the same month. Overall, I used more body products than anything else, and I would happily use all of these products again! I used up a total of 11 products, and only one of them was a travel size.

Renpure Coconut Milk & Vitamin E Moisturizing Body Wash ($7.48 for 24 oz. from Walmart): This body wash has such a warm and creamy aroma that is calming and delectable. It boasts a rich and satisfying lather that is so pleasing to the senses. In fact, when I am in the hot shower, and my nose starts to unclog, its creamy toasted coconut aroma is a visceral pleasure, and it is just so comforting. While I love this body wash all year round, it is perfection this time of year, and it has made my cold a bit more tolerable! Purchase Again? Without question! This is my all-time favorite body wash!

Renpure Pomegranate & Mango Exfoliating Body Wash ($7.48 for 24oz. From Walmart): This delectably aromatic body wash, which is a beautiful blend of pomegranate and mango, is uplifting and incredibly pleasant for the senses. It gently and thoroughly cleans and exfoliates the skin, but it does so without stripping or leaving it dry or uncomfortable. Purchase Again? Absolutely!

Dove White Beauty Bar ($4.89-$11.99 for 2-14 bar packs from TargetWalgreens): This gentle, creamy cleansing bar contains ¼ moisturizing cream that leaves skin soft smooth and very clean. I have used it for many years, and absolutely love it! Purchase Again? I already have!

MyKirei Onsen Therapy Soothing Mineral Soak ($15.00 for a 5 pack from MyKirei by Kai and Amazon): This is a very soothing mineral soak that is perfect after a vigorous workout, or a long day at work. It relieves muscle aches and pains and it relieves stress. The Japanese Hinoki fragrance boasts a calming woodsy aroma that is a delight to the senses, while the mineral-rich tablet relieves the tension in sore muscles. A soak before going to bed helps one achieve a calm and deep sleep. Purchase Again? YES!

ellixi beauty Limoncello Body Scrub ($19.00 for 4 oz. from ellixi beauty): This is a delectably limoncello-scented scrub that only contains 5 ingredients. Gently massaging a small amount into damp skin releases the beautiful aroma, and the sugar and salt particles work wonders in their ability to exfoliate dead skin cells. The oils (coconut oil and the essential oils of lemon and vanilla) offer skin vital moisture, but they do so without leaving behind a greasy mess. Skin is left soft, smooth, supply and hydrated. It is truly such a pleasure using this body scrub, and the sensory experience is truly outstanding. Purchase Again? YES!
milk_shake Leave-In Conditioner ($24.00 for 11.8 oz. from milk_shake and their Amazon Store): is revelation in haircare that I first discussed over a year ago, and I have used it ever since. In fact, this is one of my true can't-live-without haircare products. I am a huge fan of their curly hair range of products, that I have been using for quite a while, but this leave-in conditioner is my all-time favorite product from them! Made for all types of hair, this conditioner offers hair tremendous manageability and moisture without weighing it down or leaving an unpleasant oily residue. It fights frizz and fly-aways, detangles, nourishes and protects the hair shaft and hair. Additionally, it offers UV protection, is color-safe and it smells utterly delectable. In fact, the sweet and creamy vanilla aroma smells so good. This is a truly covet-worthy leave-in conditioner! I will use this as long as they make it! I apply it to wet freshly washed hair, since it is a great detangler, but I also use it on dry hair to help style, revive my hair and fight frizz. Purchase Again? YES, for as long as they make it!

milk_shake lifestyling dry shampoo ($26.00 for 4.7 oz. from Amazon): This is a powder-based dry shampoo, with a delectable clean semi-floral aroma, that absorbs sebum, refreshes the scalp and hair and feels weightless. It's a great solution on the days that you don't shampoo your hair with water. If you love a good dry shampoo, this is definitely one to try! Purchase Again? I have other dry shampoos to use before I even think about getting another one, but I would happily use this again!

Cure Natural Aqua Gel ($39.00 for 8.5 oz. from Amazon): This is a very fun exfoliant to use because after you massage it into your skin for a short amount of time it transforms into a rather milky gel that causes dead skin cells to pill on the skin. The next step is to simply rinse the gel and dead skin cells off of your face or body, and you will be delighted by the extent to which your skin is left soft, smooth, supple and luminous. I routinely use it on my hands and feet, and am thrilled by the results. Furthermore, it is fragrance-free, free of harmful chemicals and so satisfying to use! Purchase Again? I just opened a brand-new bottle!

Vitabrid C¹² Wrinkle Serum ($72.00 for 1.01 oz. from Vitabrid C¹² and Amazon): This wonderful antioxidant-rich serum offers skin incredible hydration and protection from free-radical damage. It boasts a blend of novel peptides that help boost collagen production, and the result is the appearance of firmer skin and plumped fine lines. Their antioxidant formula, which is infused with Niacinamide, Bisabolol and Citric Acid, helps to brighten the skin and fade hyperpigmentation. The serum is mid-weight, fast absorbing, non-sticky and fragrance-free, and it leaves my skin soft, supple, smooth and incredibly luminous. Purchase Again? I just opened a brand new bottle!

Atelier Bloem 1614 Eau de Parfume ($69.00-$71.74 for 3.4oz. from Amazon and Walmart): This fragrance has a clean, fresh and delicate aroma that is punctuated by the detectable scents of citrus, Bergamot, Sambac Jasmine and Orange Blossom. Once it dries down the notes of Teakwood, Sandalwood and Musk warm the edges of the citrus. The end result is a fresh and dewy aroma that sits close to the skin, rather than hanging in the air, and delights the senses. Purchase Again? I would happily wear this again, but for now I am not purchasing any new perfumes because I have so many already.

Victoria Beckham Eye Kohl in Bronze ($34.00 each from Victoria Beckham BeautybluemercuryNordstromNeiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman): In my opinion, the formula is absolutely superior to everything else on the market.

Purchase Again? I already opened another one in Bronze!

Overall Assessment: I really enjoyed using all of these products, and there isn't a single one tat I wouldn't happily use again. What did you use up, toss out, give away or return in April? Any amazing finds, or terrible disappointments?

APRIL 2024 EMPTIES FOR THE FACE, BODY, HAIR & HOME

Purchased and Press Samples (Affiliate Links)

It is hard to believe that the month of April came and went alarmingly fast, and I was so busy at work that I feel as though I barely took in the month! I managed to finish up 12 products– of which 10 were full-size and the remaining two were deluxe samples.
Spongellé Enchanted Night Body Wash Infused Buffer (Was $18.00, but it was a seasonal limited edition buffer for Halloween from Spongellé): The scent of this Halloween inspired buffer is a wonderfully deep and alluring aroma that is citrusy punctuated by a warm and musky base. It is utterly delectable. I wish that they still had this one available! Purchase Again? I would, but I am happy with the scent I just opened!

Spongellé He'e Berry Hawaiian Body Wash Infused Buffer ($22.00 from Spongellé): This delectable scented buffer is the embodiment of Hawaii, and it makes a great gift. They make brilliant body wash-infused sponges effectively and gently clean and exfoliate the skin, and they also leave the it deliciously baby soft, smooth, supple and moisturized. They really excel in their ability to clean and exfoliate the skin while delighting the senses with their delightful aromas.

You simply dampen the Spongellé Body Wash Infused Buffers with water to activate the very satisfying lather. Each sponge is filled with enough body wash for a minimum of 20 washes, but I always get more washes from each of their buffers. Once you have used up all of the body wash, the sponge itself is left quite intact, and therefore all you need to do is use it in conjunction with your favorite liquid or bar soaps. The hanging ribbon allows the buffer to dry out easily, but I recommend hanging it outside of the moist environment of the shower to avoid bacterial growth. Purchase Again? I just opened another scent!
Bootleg Bath Salted Margarita Bath Bar ($9.95 for 4.4 oz. from Bootleg Bath and their Amazon Store): This is a mildly exfoliating bar that leaves skin soft and smooth without stripping it. This handcrafted bar has a deletable citrus aroma that is an uplifting treat to the senses, and it is a perfect gift for yourself and the people on your holiday gift list. Purchase Again? I definitely will!

The Bootleg Bath Growth Formula Conditioner Bar ($16.95 for 1.76 oz. from Bootleg Bath): is a hair conditioner that is formulated to stimulate hair growth and scalp health. This nourishing, and antioxidant-rich, conditioner nourishes and moisturizes the hair and scalp without leaving the hair limp or greasy. I do not have their matching shampoo that works in tandem with this conditioner, but I will say that my hair looks and feels nourished, frizz-free and very well conditioned when I use this conditioning bar. I can't detect any additional hair growth to substantiate those claims, but I assume that I would need to use it much longer and in conjunction with the shampoo bar from this collection. Purchase Again? Not likely because I currently have far too many open hair conditioners.
MyKirei by KAO Onsen Therapy Soothing Steam Eye Mask ($15.00 for a 5-pack from MyKirei and their Amazon Store): is a very easy-to-use eye mask that utilizes a unique mineral-based warming technology that "enhances calm and relaxation and promotes a more restful night’s sleep while reducing the look of puffy eyes." The scent, Japanese Hinoki, is a delectable combination of a bright citrus aroma combined with cedar wood and evergreens.

The mask bathes eyes and the delicate eye area in warm steam. The mask remains at a comfortable temperature for about 10-15 minutes, and this steam bath for the eyes helps release the tensions of the day, reduces puffiness and it effectively soothes and quiets the mind. This is the perfect before bedtime treat, and it is a wonderful way to pamper yourself during stressful times, or whenever you want to relax and unwind. Purchase Again? I still have a few masks left, but I suspect I will buy more when I finish all of them.

LAVANILA The Healthy Deodorant in Pure Vanilla ($12.00 for 2 oz. from LAVANILAAmazon and Target): This is a wonderful healthy deodorant formula that is effective, smells delicious and offers long-lasting protection. Available in a nice range of scents, their scrumptious smelling Healthy Deodorants offer odor protection all day long, and the healthy ingredients condition the skin.

If you are seeking an antiperspirant, then be advised that this does not prevent sweating. This has been my favorite healthy deodorant for many years now, and I will use it as long as LAVANILA makes it. It applies to the skin effortlessly, without tugging, and it never leaves a residue or stain on the clothes. This is a cruelty-free brand and their deodorants are free of aluminum and parabens.

The Pure Vanilla scent is warm and creamy perfection, and wearing the deodorant and fragrance together is delectable! Purchase Again? I already opened another one!

Stark Skincare Eclipse Enzymatic Cleanse + Mask ($35.00 for 4 oz. from Stark Skincare and Boxwalla): This lovely gel cleanser, which has a very slight foam, can be used as a traditional cleanser, or as a mask. It boasts a base of Aloe juice that is punctuated by fruit sugar-based Alpha Hydroxy Acids that gently exfoliate without ever stripping the skin. It has a delectable aroma that is informed by cardamom, but it isn't in the least bit overpowering. This antioxidant-rich cleanser leaves skin beautifully exfoliated, hydrated, renewed and glowing. Purchase Again? I would definitely entertain getting it again, but not until I use up more of my open facial cleansers.

Annmarie Aloe Herb Cleanser ($31.50 for 50ml and $58.00 for 100ml from Annmarie Skin Care and their Official Amazon Store): is a lightweight and creamy Aloe Vera-based cleanser that thoroughly cleans the skin and leaves it soft, smooth and hydrated without feeling greasy or stripped. While it doesn't lather, it also lacks the heaviness of a cream cleanser. Instead, it behaves like a gel cleanser that washes clean. It has a wonderful light aroma informed by citrus, floral and herbal ingredients, and it is best described as pleasant and refreshing. It leaves my skin thoroughly cleansed and luminous, and it as effective as it is gentle. Suitable for all types of skin. Purchase Again? I have a full size bottle that I just opened!

TATCHA The Rice Wash Soft Cream Cleanser ($50.00 for 8 oz., $40.00 for 4 oz. and $18.00 for 1.7 oz from TATCHA, Amazon and Sephora): This is an effective foaming cream cleanser that gently exfoliates dead skin cells and washes away dirt and makeup without stripping. Skin is left a soft and with a lovely luminosity. I had this in my travel bag and used every last drop! Purchase Again? While I have so many open cleansers, this is at the top of my purchase list!
Victoria Beckham Beauty Satin Kajal Liner in Fig ($34.00 each from Victoria Beckham BeautyNordstrombluemercury, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman): Victoria Beckham Beauty is a cruelty-free brand, and the liners are infused with Vitamin E, hydrating pro-vitamin B5, and calming chamomile. They are quite kind and gentle to sensitive eyes like mine, and they can also be used on the waterline and for tight-lining. The colors are spectacularly beautiful independently, but they can also be blended to soften or intensify the lighter and darker shades, respectively. Fig is a rich matte aubergine, and it is a real showstopper. Purchase Again? YES, it's gorgeous!
Archipelago Botanicals Jar Candle in Peppermint (Was $32.50 from Archipelago and Nordstrom): was a holiday-perfect candle that is made with a blend of essential oils and wax housed in an elegant glass container. This ultra-luxe candle is the aromatic embodiment of the holiday season. Rather than an ordinary peppermint, this gorgeous blend of peppermint bark, mint leaf and chocolate creates a delectable mouthwatering aroma that fills the room with its comforting scent. Purchase Again? I would, but it was a limited edition holiday fragrance. I hope that they offer it again during the holidays this year!

Spongellé Morning Bloom Private Reserve Candle ($40.00 from Spongellé): The fresh scent boasts a gorgeous citrus aroma that is mixed with musk, intoxicating florals and a touch of spice. It is a wondrous candle that fills the room with its magnificence without overly exerting itself. The healthy hand-poured soy candle is made in Los Angeles and it burns for about 50 hours. This luxe candle is an elegant show-stopper that comes in a beautiful gift box that is almost too pretty to recycle! Purchase Again? I am currently burning another one of their wonderful candles, and will definitely try another one soon!
Overall Assessment: I am quite please with the number of empties that made it into my recycle bin, and hope that I can do as well next month! What did you use up, toss out, give away or return to sender in April? Did you make any incredible discoveries, or perhaps you experiences some overhyped duds? Do tell!

6 Perfect Purple Eyeliner Pencils

Purchased and Press Samples (Affiliate Links)

A longtime reader emailed me to ask if I could do a post featuring my favorite purple eyeliner pencils, and given that this is my all-time favorite color, I was happy to oblige!
I have always worn eyeliner pencils, and if I had to choose between a good eyeliner pencil and a good eyeshadow, I would always choose the former. Here are the 6 purple eyeliner pencils that I am currently wearing, and loving:
Lancôme Le Stylo Waterproof Long-Wearing Eyeliner Pencil in Prune ($28.00 for 0.01 oz. from Lancôme and Neiman Marcus): This is a very long-wearing waterproof and transfer-proof formula that never tugs or pulls the skin, and it lasts all day on me without any smearing or fading. There is a smudger sponge on one end of the pencil that works beautifully in its ability to soften the line or enhance a smoky eye. I like to use it quickly because I have found that once the liner sets it really doesn't budge. The fine point offers precision foolproof application, and the creamy formula is very easy to work with. Prune is a magical mid-tone twinkling purple.

Lancôme Drama Liqui-Pencil Waterproof Gel Eyeliner in Purple Cabaret ($25.00 for 12g. from LancômeSephoraUltaMacy'sBloomingdale's and Saks Fifth Avenue): This might just be my favorite formula from Lancôme's amazing lineup of liners. Purple Cabaret is described as a metallic plum, and it is just gorgeous! This beauty is soft and creamy, it is ultra pigmented in a single pass, and it glides across the skin effortlessly without any tugging or pulling, and once they set they don't budge until you remove them at the end of the day. I don't often wear liners in my waterline, but when I do, I tend to only use matte liners instead of glitter or metallic finishes.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencilin in Rockstar and Empire ($25.00 for 0.04 oz. from SephoraNordstromMacy'sUlta and Urban Decay): These liners glide across the skin and deposit color effortlessly, and once they set they don't budge. Rockstar and Empire are stunning, and ultra-flattering, eggplant purple shades that offer buildable coverage, and that are fuss-free to use. They do require sharpening.

Rockstar: is described as the darkest eggplant shimmer.
Empire: is described as a dark eggplant matte.

Victoria Beckham Beauty Satin Kajal Liner in Fig ($34.00 each from Victoria Beckham Beauty, Nordstrom, bluemercury, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman): Victoria Beckham Beauty is a cruelty-free brand, and the liners are infused with Vitamin E, hydrating pro-vitamin B5, and calming chamomile.

Charlotte Tilbury Rock 'n' Kohl Eyeliner Pencil in Velvet Violet ($29.00 for 10g. from Charlotte TilburySephoraNordstromBloomingdale'sBeautylishSelfridgesCult Beauty and John Lewis): This wonderful formula is so creamy to the touch and easy to blend, and it glides across the skin without any tugging or pulling, and it deposits color evenly and effortlessly. It allows you to create a very clean crisp line, but gives you enough time before setting to make a smoky smudged line as well. Once it does set, it is completely budge-proof, and lasts on me all day long, and without a primer. I do not experience any transfer, smudging or fading, but I do not have very oily eyelids, and your wear-time may vary if you do. Velvet Violet is a stunning violet with depth. It photographed rather dark, but it is a gorgeous deeper violet that morphs in the sunlight.

All photographs taken outside under the winter sun.
Overall Assessment: These are my 5 go-to perfect purple eyeliner pencils. Do you have any favorite go-to purple eyeliner pencils that you reach for all of the time?

Currently in My Makeup Bag

Press Sample & Purchased (Affiliate Links)

I recently switched out my makeup bag and its contents, and thought that I would share some of my current favorites. I had forgotten about my roomy leather Rebecca Minkoff makeup bag, which was a GWP at Neiman Marcus about 11 years ago, and that I just recently rediscovered. I don't like to carry too many things because I don't like clutter in my purse, but I always have a few lip products, some sunscreen, an eyeliner and a fragrance. Here is what is in my makeup bag:

MyChelle Protect Sun Shield Liquid SPF 50 in Light: This is a really wonderful serum-like oil-free tinted mineral sunscreen that is reef safe, cruelty-free, gluten-free and vegan. It has a wonderful texture, sheer coverage and a natural matte finish. I am thrilled the it boasts an SPF 50, and it beautifully evens out skin tone. It leaves behind no white residue and it is thoroughly non-greasy. As is the case with all sunscreens, it needs to be reapplied about every 60-80 minutes to maintain sun protection, but it is very easy to reapply.

($27.99 for 1 oz. from MyChelle and Thrive Market)

Summer Fridays Lip Balm Butter in Vanilla Beige: This is a medium weight, non-sticky and very comfortable balm on the lips. It coats the lips while nourishing and hydrating them, and the delectable vanilla flavor is comforting and delicious! It provides a very light wash of color that is a flattering neutral nude beige shade that will suit most complexions since it is barely-there. Most importantly, this lip butter is soothing, hydrating and it has done a very effective job in its ability to moisturize and heal my chapped lips. It offers sustained moisture, and it has the perfect amount of cushion for comfortable wear!

($24.00 for 0.5 oz. from SephoraSummer FridaysRevolveAmazonSephora at Kohl'sSpace NK and Cult Beauty)

Westman Atelier Squeaky Clean Liquid Lip Balm in Chou Chou: is a gorgeous pale pink, and it is a translucent liquid lip balm with the consistency of a lip gloss. It is lightweight, non-sticky and it has the perfect amount of cushion for very comfortable wear. Chou Chou is a beautiful pale pink with a stunning sheer and glossy finish. The formula is nourishing, hydrating and it's filled with skin-loving ingredients. Furthermore, it has a wonderful light and refreshing citrus aroma, but it isn't long-lasting. It doesn't boast the longevity of a stickier traditional lip gloss, but it is a wonderful tinted treat for the lips. It works well alone, but is also a gorgeous topper for lipstick. I really love this formula, and I will eventually purchase another one, but I will get one of the more pigmented shades next time.

Westman Atelier Lip Suede Les Nudes: is a gorgeous sheerer-leaning lip palette that is perfect for people who love customizable nude shades the provide a truly beautiful wash of color. This is a very nourishing lip palette filled with good-for-you skincare ingredients that moisturize and condition the lips. The pigments are 100% natural and range in shades from more pigmented shades such as warm rose and mulled wine to the lighter shades peony and café crème. You can easily mix the shades to customize your perfect nude shade, but the entire palette is intentionally more sheer. You can apply these shades with a brush or with your finger for sheer to light pigmentation with a beautiful sheen. As is the case with sheer to light coverage lipsticks of this sort, they lack the longevity of richly pigmented formulas that stain the lips, but I do not find the wear time lacking. This palette is very comfortable to wear and it boasts the perfect amount of cushion. In short, it feels and looks amazing on the lips, and it offers a couple of hours of wear-time on me. This cruelty-free palette is also vegan.

Victoria Beckham Eye Kohl in Bronze: Victoria Beckham Beauty is a cruelty-free brand, and these liners are infused with Vitamin E, hydrating pro-vitamin B5, and calming chamomile. They are quite kind and gentle to sensitive eyes like mine, and they can also be used on the waterline and for tight-lining. The colors are spectacularly beautiful independently, but they can also be blended to soften or intensify the lighter and darker shades, respectively. I like to wear several of them at the same time. Bronze is a breathtakingly beautiful shimmer shade, and there is no fallout or shimmer particles that bother my sensitive eyes.

Kai Perfume Oil: is a fresh, clean, and delectable smelling floral. The blend of gardenias and white exotic flowers strikes the perfect balance, and the white flowers offset any sharpness that gardenia can have on its own. The scent lingers throughout the day and is so lovely that I can't stop smelling my wrist all of the time while wearing it. It is unquestionably one of my very scent to wear in the warmer weather, and I have worn it for many years now!

Overall Assessment: All of these products are covet-worthy, and such a pleasure to use. I reach for them all of the time, and love having them with me when I am on the go!
