Bellamano Beauty Nail Lacquer in Indigo Sky is a beautiful mid-tone purple polish, and it is my favorite of the bunch. It is vivid and stunning on the fingers and toes.

Bellamano Beauty Nail Lacquer in Dancing on Clouds is a stunning gel polish in an exquisite shade of blue. 

Bellamano Beauty Nail Lacquer in Pocket Full of Sunshine is a happy golden yellow gel polish that it bright and enchanting.

Bellamano Beauty Nail Lacquer in Peachy Bottoms is lovely shade of peach that is neither too light, nor too dark, and its hint of apricot gives it added depth.

Bellamano Beauty Nail Laquer in Mint for Spring is a delightfully refreshing mint green gel polish that is fetching.

How to Use:

Preparation: Begin by cleansing your nails with a gentle nail cleanser to remove any oils or dirt. Push back and shape your cuticles as desired. Lightly buff the surface of each nail to ensure the gel polish adheres well.

Base Coat: Apply a thin layer of Bellamano Gel Base Coat to each nail, capping the tips. Cure under a LED lamp for 30 seconds or a UV lamp for 2 minutes.

Gel Polish Application: Shake the Bellamano Gel Polish bottle to ensure the pigment is well mixed. Apply a thin, even layer of your chosen color to each nail, capping the tips. Cure under a LED lamp for 30 seconds or a UV lamp for 2 minutes. For a more vivid color, apply a second coat and cure again.

Top Coat: Apply a thin layer of Bellamano Gel Top Coat over the colored polish, capping the tips. Cure under a LED lamp for 30 seconds or a UV lamp for 2 minutes. This not only adds a glossy finish but also protects the color and extends the wear of your gel polish.

Finishing Touches: After curing, wipe each nail with a lint-free nail wipe soaked in a gentle nail cleanser to remove the sticky residue, revealing a smooth, glossy finish.

Aftercare: Keep your nails looking their best by applying cuticle oil daily and wearing gloves while doing household chores to protect your manicure.

Removal: When you’re ready for a new color, gently remove the gel polish using Gel Polish Remover to protect and nourish your nails.

Affordable Wellness Picks for a Healthy 2022

A lot of the healthier, or greener, products on the market are prohibitively expensive, but you to do not have to spend a fortune to get high quality products. I have rounded up a few products that are affordable, cruelty-free, a pleasure to use and they won't put a big dent on your credit card.

MyChelle Incredible Pumpkin Peel ($25.50 for 1.2 oz. from MyChelle): This potent peel, "harnesses a powerful blend of pumpkin puree and extracts" that gently and naturally exfoliate dead skin cells to help renew the complexion  Skin is left soft, smooth and luminous. MyChelle makes first rate products the are cruelty-free and that you can feel good about using.

According to MyChelle, "Powerful bioactive Pumpkin blend exfoliates dead skin cells to clear away impurities, while fruit extracts encourage renewal for a smoother, more radiant complexion."

Directions: Shake well before use. Apply a thin layer 1-2 times per week after cleansing. Avoid eye area. Leave on for 3-5 minutes. Slight tingling may occur. Rinse thoroughly. Patch test before use.

According to MyChelle, "A lightweight, daily moisturizer with antioxidant-rich Cloudberry Extract and Pumpkin Seed Oil to protect and nourish skin. Astaxanthin, Shea Butter and Vitamin E replenish and balance skin’s moisture levels to prevent dehydration."

SOPHi Nail Polish ($7.99 each from SOPHi): SOPHi nail polishes are non-toxic, and essentially odorless, and they come in a lovely array of colors. This formula is water-based for healthy nails that will neither turn yellow, nor become brittle. These polishes work perfectly with a PRIME + SHINE + SEAL System (Sold separately for $14.95 from SOPHi) that adds longevity and maximum durability to your wear-time. They also make a wonderful Nail Polish Remover Gel (Regularly Price $7.99, currently on sale for $6.99 from SOPHi). Additionally, SOPHi is cruelty-free and vegan.

CRYSTAL’s Mineral Enriched Magnesium Deodorants ($10.99 for 2.5 oz each from CVS and Amazon): are definitely long-lasting, and they do not include aluminum or baking soda– both of which can irritate delicate skin under the arms. I will say that this deodorant is a little bit less emollient than many that I have tried, and therefore it has a decidedly drier texture. However, my skin is sensitive in my underarm area, and I found that these deodorants glided across my skin without tugging, pulling or irritating the skin in the least bit. I can also attest to the fact that they do not stain my clothes with unpleasant white marks. CRYSTAL is  a cruelty-free brand.

I love the scent of each of them, and while it will take me forever to use them all up, I will say that I like them enough to purchase them in the future.

Overall Assessment: I highly recommend these products, and if you are trying to find healthier products that are affordable, then these are definitely worthy of consideration.

At-Home Pedicure Tips & Tools

If your winter feet aren't ready for the holidays, and need some TLC before you wear your new fabulous holiday shoes, then I am so excited to share my super-easy, and ultra-relaxing at-home pedicure tips.

Six Easy Steps:

Step 1: Wash your feet with warm soapy water in a basin.

Step 2: While your feet are soaking in the basin, gently exfoliate dead skin cells with a glass file that can be used on wet feet. Tip: Exfoliate very gently because the water softens up your feet, and therefore you don't need to use the same force that you would when filing dry feet. Trust me, take the less is more approach– otherwise you could end up over-exfoliating and doing far more damage than good! Currently loving: Mont Bleu Glass Foot File

Step 3: Thoroughly rinse feet and empty the basin.

Step 4: Rinse out the basin and refill it with warm water and add a small amount of foot oil to moisturize your freshly exfoliated feet. Let feet soak for about 10-15 minutes. Rinse feet and empty the basin. Currently loving: VILACT 24/7 Foot Bath Oil with Lactoactive

Lauren B. Nail Polish is 5 Free, therefore this formula is made without Formaldehyde, DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde resin or Camphor. Furthermore, Lauren B. polishes are not tested on animals, they are vegan-friendly, and they are free of harsh chemicals. 

Lauren B. Nail Polishes come in a wide variety of gorgeous shades, they boast a glossy chip resistant, long-lasting finish,  and they are fast drying. Additionally, they glide on smoothly and they are streak-free.

Body by Joe Firming Coffee Body Scrub by Hush Beauty Labs: This delectably aromatic coffee-infused body scrub effectively exfoliates dead skin cells to reveal soft, smooth and luminous skin.

Directions: Scoop out a small amount (start with a dime size or smaller). Warm product between hands to liquify. Apply as needed. As a deep conditioning pre-shampoo treatment, apply to dry hair and let set for 10-20 minutes, then shampoo and rinse. Leave in overnight for extra nourishment (protect that pillowcase!).

Overall Assessment: I am quite impressed by the quality of the polishes, scrub and balm, and the value of this Spring Collection Box makes it worthy of consideration.

Plums and Grays for the Holidays: Affordable Eyes, Lips and Tips

I love dramatic, and fun, holiday makeup– especially for New Years Eve, but let's face it that is hardly the type of makeup that most of us would wear during the rest of the year. For that very reason, and because I am a pragmatist by nature, I see no reason to splurge on expensive luxury makeup for these occasions. Instead, I seek viable alternatives in the aisles of my favorite drugstores.

For a dramatic, and festive, palette of colors plums and grays definitely deliver, and you can find what you need from Rimmel London and Sally Hansen. Here are a few of my current favorites for your perusal.

Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Eye Shadow Stick in 004 Guilty Grey ($3.79- $4.99 for 0.11 oz. from Walgreens, Harmon, and Walmart): I love this formula, the silky smooth cream eyeshadows glide across the skin effortlessly, deposit color evenly and have enviable color payoff. Guilty Grey is a gorgeous shimmering gunmetal gray that can be used as an all-over the lid color or as a liner.

Sally Hansen is my favorite drugstore nail polish brand, and it never disappoints!

It is ideal for stocking stuffers, gift exchanges or for yourself!

Overall Assessment: It is definitely worth the trip to your local drugstore to pick up some Rimmel London makeup and Sally Hansen nail polishes for festive holiday looks, and for last minute stocking stuffers.
