T is for Tame was created to keep the unruly hair of babies and toddlers manageable by their parents. Becky, who founded T is for Tame, struggled to find a natural solution for her children's unruly hair, and decided to create those products. Her whole range of products makes hair manageable during humidity, days spent at the pool, and while traveling. Her products offer a practical solution for dealing with tangles, frizz, fly-aways and sensitive scalps during the summer months. 

While this range of products was created for babies and toddlers, I must emphatically state, as a person with naturally curly hair, that T is for Tame products are miraculous on my hair. Therefore, I think that these products are perfect for anyone who has hair that is prone to frizz, fly-aways, tangling and that is clearly impacted by humid weather.

T is for Tame Taming Gel is a hair styling gel that offers a flexible hold, and it does not flake, and it is not greasy or sticky to the touch. It is infused with antioxidants and Vitamin E, and it has a wonderful vanilla aroma– just like their other haircare products. It does an enviable job fighting frizz and fly-aways, and it leaves my curly hair manageable with nicely formed curls. If you are a fan of styling gels, then this is definitely one to consider.

I realize that I am probably sounding a bit like a broken record, but if you have wavy or curly hair, milk_shake's curl passion collection should be on your radar. They really understand the complexities of having curly hair, and their products always nourish and pamper my curly locks.

Directions: Apply using Ouidad's Rake & Shake technique. Divide damp hair into sections. Rake a nickel-size amount of gel through each section, using fingertips to seal and smooth the cuticle from roots to ends. When finished, hold the ends of hair in each section and shake to create curls. Let hair air-dry or blow-dry with a diffuser.

Furthermore, like the gel, it neither flakes, nor does it become crunchy and unnatural looking. There is a very light clean scent in the bottle, but I detected no fragrance in my hair.

White Sands Gel-Us ($15.40 for 7.5 oz. from White Sands): This is a lightweight gel, that is filled with floral and herbal extracts that  nourish and hydrate the hair without compromising its efficacy as a styling product. It maintains a firm, but flexible, hold without making hair feel stiff or unnatural, and it does not dry out the hair. It never flakes once it is dries, and it volumizes, fights frizz, and leaves hair with a beautiful shine.

According to White Sands,

Gel-Us allows 100% of the entire product to work synergistically in styling and conditioning to provide hydration and shine unlike any gel out there. It leaves hair smooth and shiny, but does not weigh it down. It effectively combats frizz and makes hair far more manageable. It is also used to repair split ends, but since that isn't an issue with my hair– I cannot speak to its efficacy first hand in this regard.
