It has been a while since I have sung the praises of evanhealy skincare products, but as I reached for my evanhealy Whipped Shea Butter with Olive Leaf– it occurred to me that I had yet to share this luxurious Shea Butter treasure with you.

If you love Shea Butter, then this is whipped version will leave you deliriously happy– as it does for me each time that I use it. It is far more user friendly than the traditional Shea Butters that I have used since the whipped texture makes it feather light, and it absorbs more readily. 

You simply warm a small amount between your hands and massage it anywhere you need added moisture and hydration, and the effects are miraculously fast. It has a warm and subtle scent that might be likened to the smell of cocoa butter, and as delectable as it smells it does fade so as not to interfere with any fragrances that you may be wearing.

It leaves skin hydrated, soft, supple, nourished and luminous. You can use it from head to toe, but if you have very dry skin you may find this the perfect facial moisturizer. If you have dry curly hair, this does wonders to nourish distressed tresses!

According to evanhealy,

A finger-tip sized amount applied daily to clean skin rejuvinates and protects extremely dry and dehydrated skin, having a remarkable effect on wrinkles, softening and smoothing fine lines, wrinkles, all signs of stress held in our face and eye area. After a few days of consistent use skin appears noticeably improved. Our Whipped Shea Butter, rich in essential fatty acids, cinnamic acid, and vitamins C, E, and K, heals dry, sensitive skin conditions while providing maximum barrier protection without a heavy feeling or clogging tiny dermal pores. Our Whipped Shea Butters are a combination of luscious and nourishing oils: California- grown extra-virgin olive oil, calendula-infused sunflower oil, and a Madagascar vanilla- infused coconut oil. evanhealy and Social Objectives:

Our Shea Butter comes to us from the Tapko Widows Group, a small community of women in northern Ghana. This remarkable group of women hand-harvest and process the shea nuts into shea butter using labor-intensive, traditional methods that have been handed down over centuries. The Tapko Widows are paid a premium price and a percentage of sales goes to a micro-credit project in their support, complementing their subsistence agriculture-based economy. Tapko is a small village located near the Burkina Faso border in Ghana's Upper West Region.

We make our Whipped Shea Butter in house and by hand, it takes four to six hours of continual whipping to reach its rich, creamy, fragrant softness. The ultimate protection for sensitive and dry skin.

Chemical Free and Unrefined:

This truly unrefined product has been extracted without chemical solvents, cleansers or bleaching agents. As a result small granules may occur, which in no way compromises its quality, and will dissolve instantly when massaged into skin. Variations in color and fragrance may also occur. Unrefined shea butter is high in valuable unsaponifiables, which add emolliency and softness to skin. Vitamin E protects against oxidation, and naturally occuring phytosterols contribute to cell membrane integrity.

As a daytime moisturizer: "Taking a finger-full of Shea Butter warm and soften between the palms of your hand. Massage into area of face or body to be treated. Finish by misting with of one of our Facial Tonic Hydrosols to increase hydration and penetration."

As a Shea Treatment Mask: "An alternative to our Clay Treatment Masks, our Whipped Shea Butters make ideal regenerating, nourishing and restorative treatments for dry and/or sensitive skin in need of rebuilding from over-use or over-reliance on harsh glycolic (AHA) treatments, fruit enzymes, or dermabrasions; it also makes a great hair conditioner!"

The more that I investigate the wonders of evanhealy skincare-- the more impressed that I become. This lovely line is filled with healthy organic ingredients and the products boast extraordinary efficacy. Furthermore, evanhealy products offer such a lovely tactile and sensory experience that leave one with a profound sense of well-being.

evanhealy Rose Geranium Face Tonic HydroSoul is a refreshing revelation that leaves skin delightfully soft and hydrated when used alone, but when paired with evalhealy face oils it is an even more amazing performer of miracles in its ability to aid in their rapid absorption.

Our Rose Geranium Facial Tonic Hydrosol is sourced from a few small, organic farms in northern Washington state. Our geranium is called "Attar of Rose" and is a finely cut Pelagonium capitatum, it is sweetly floral and with an ideal, slightly acidic pH 4.6, it is ideal for gentle, hydrating and vitalizing care of the skin. It is distilled solely for its hydrophilic (water-loving) components, not the essential oil. Distillers of essential oils usually use plant material that has been dried over several days, resulting in a loss of approximately 70% of water volume. We choose to distill for the hydrosol alone and use only fresh plant material. In this way the resulting hydrosol is much richer in the valuable, water-soluble aromatic molecules. Furthermore, these hydrosols are artisan-distilled at low temperatures for over two to three hours in copper. Conventional distillation utilizes stainless steel and high temperatures, and the process lasts for only thirty to forty-five minutes. The more labor-intensive artisan process that we choose to use creates a hydrosol that is vitalizing and healing for all skin conditions.

Pure plant hydrosols are some of nature's best antioxidants. They play an important role in protecting the skin from free radicals and pollution. Saturating the skin daily with these precious waters restores pH balance, refreshes and tones skin tissue, maintaining soft and smooth skin while significantly increasing vitality and hydration to all skin conditions.

I find myself spritzing this lovely tonic on my face throughout the day for a delightful pick-me-up, and the scent and experiential quality is always mood elevating. Aside from how it makes one feel it also must be hailed for its ability to hydrate the skin and promote cell repair.

• For all skin conditions especially dry/oily combination and teen

Beauty Products Worth Hoarding | My Current Must-Have Selection

The sheer amount of beauty products in my rotation at any given time would certainly make me appear to be a hoarder, but in the midst of all of the products that I test out and review there are always those that truly win my heart over. The products that become personal favorites have the distinction of being reached for all of the time, and they quickly make it to the top of the "I will definitely be repurchasing this" list. 

Here you will see my current beauty product obsessions! I selected products that I either already have backups of, will be replacing as soon as they get close to empty, or have already replaced at least once. In short, whether these are newer to my rotation or old favorites-- these are my lucky 13 products that I am currently completely obsessed with!

1) TATCHA POLISHED Classic Rice Enzyme Powder: This is one of the most amazing cleansers that I have ever used. It gently exfoliates the skin leaving it indescribably soft, smooth and supple. You simply mix a tiny bit of water to activate the powder, and the results are truly astounding. (Reviewed here. $65.00 at Barneys New York)

2) evanhealy Rose Geranium Facial Tonic Hydrosoul: This lovely Hydrosoul is an antioxidant rich hydrating spray that revitalizes the skin while it protects against free radical damage. The lovely scent soothes the senses and enchants the spirit. I spritz it on my face whenever I want a little pick me up, and I often spray it on top of my beauty oils to facilitate absorption. 5) Radical Skincare Age-Defying Exfoliating Pads: These exfoliating pads eliminate dull and dead skin, but they are gentle enough so as not to irritate sensitive skin. 6) Rodin Olio Lusso Luxury Face Oil: This gorgeous jasmine scented treasure of a beauty oil is made from 11 exceptional oils, and is so intoxicatingly beautiful in scent and performance-- that it has an addictive quality on its devotees. It leaves skin deeply nourished and hydrated, but it's the luminous ethereal glow that will have people stopping you on the street to wax poetic about your gorgeous skin! (Reviewed here. $150.00 from Barneys New York)

7) Rodin by Recine Olio Lusso Luxury Hair Oil: This emollient packed hair oil makes my unruly naturally curly hair obedient, and takes your tresses from dull to dazzling in no time whatsoever. 8) Rituals Zensation Organic Rice Milk & Cherry Blossom Foaming Shower Gel: This deliciously scented foaming shower gel not only leaves skin clean, soft and smooth, but it also doubles as the most nourishing shave cream that I have used. While that may not be its intended purpose, it has become one of my favorite shower products! ($15.00 from Barneys New York)

9) African Botanics Marula Firming Botanical Body Oil: This luxurious antioxidant rich body oil offers the skin superior moisture while boosting collagen production. 11) Kérastase Bain Fluidealiste Shampoo is my new Holy Grail Shampoo because it effectively prevents frizzy hair, gently cleanses without stripping, nourishes the hair without leaving behind an unpleasant residue, and is perfection for color treated hair! I have loved Kérastase products for many years, but the Fluidealiste line is a real game-changer for me. ($39.00 from Kérastase)

12) Kérastase Fondant Fluidealiste: is a miraculous daily conditioner that leaves my hair so soft, supple, smooth and shiny. My hair is left frizz-free, tangle-free and more manageable than I could ever have imagined. This conditioner tames my tresses and leaves my hair glossy and gorgeous! ($42.00 from Kérastase)

13) Kérastase Maskeratine: is a deeply nourishing and deep conditioning hair mask that leaves hair frizz-free, unbelievably soft and supple, and with a stunning glossy sheen. I can't believe the results, and simply can't get enough of this extraordinary deep conditioner! This is nirvana for unruly hair! ($62.50 from Kérastase)

evanhealy Rose Cleansing Milk | A Treat for the Skin and the Senses | Review

My most recent skincare discoveries, that have me completely over-the-moon, are the mind-blowingly gentle and effective products from evanhealy. I first began discussing evanhealy after receiving my facial from Joan Shure at the Pharmaca Friends & Family Event at the Pacific Palisades location last month (reviewed here, and my coverage and review is featured by evanhealy here). When it was time for my facial appointment I was greeted by Joan Uemura Shure who is not only a lovely person, but one of the most gifted Holistic Aestheticians. She is among the elite list of Evan Healy approved Aestheticians, and it took no time to see why!

Joan gave me a mini-version of her Luninescence Signature Facial exclusively featuring Evan Healy Skincare. This is normally a 90 minute facial, but the mini-facial version is a more abbreviated version of this restorative and regenerative treatment.
